OMG my nipples HURT!
Ok, so I work in a pastie club, and lately my nipples have been really sore. So, I take off my pasties tonight, and realized that little pieces of skin have been coming off :( I use glue stick/hairspray to stick them on, some girls use superglue, but oh HELL NO. Anyone have advice on how to make them stop hurting? I put A & D ointment on them, but I don't know what else to do :(
Also, we aren't allowed to just use liquid latex, we MUST wear actual pasties. Any other girls that work in pastie clubs (I know there aren't many) have any suggestions?

Are you allergic to the adhesive?

Re: OMG my nipples HURT!
I work in a latex club, but I'm allergic to latex.
Go to walmart and go to the craft section. You are looking for tulip brand fabric paint. Comes in all colors (I wear silver glittery).
Apply like you are applying liquid latex - ie. put some on your finger and rub it around on your nips. Then, while it is still wet, put your pasties on over it. It's fabric paint, so it should stay pretty well. At the end of the night, pull your pasties and they will come off.... then most of the time, you can pull off the paint like you would latex - at worst, you may need to shower. Works like a charm!

Re: OMG my nipples HURT!
Heh, I have SUPER sensitive nipples.
Like if I run more than 8 miles, I have to wear a special type of fabric... and like no touchie for like a day or so... Which really sucks....cause... well... Yea soo I'm all sorts of interesting in a good solution. I'll try the walmart thing.
Right now I'm buying eye covers from the tanning place I go to and wear them under a shirt.
Mast.

Re: OMG my nipples HURT!
Hmm I'll have to try the fabric paint, thanks :) No, not allergic to the glue, it seems just night after night of putting them on and pulling them off has started pulling off the delicate skin. Sad :(

Re: OMG my nipples HURT!
I'll lick them and suck them and make them better!

Re: OMG my nipples HURT!
Elizabeth Arden 8hr cream on the nips before you go to bed should help with the soreness and the rough skin, good luck!

Re: OMG my nipples HURT!
For pasties or to stick them on?
Right now there is a girl that sells pasties, just basically patches on a backing so that they stay put. Some girls just go buy patches and such from craft stores and use that. I stick them on with gluestick and/or hairspray. Guen the description says not to use on sensitive skin, do you think that would irritate them more? I just don't wanna make my poor nips hurt worse! :(

Re: OMG my nipples HURT!
Oh and we have to wear pasties that show, they can't even be nude in color. It has to be super obvious we're covering our whole areola. ::) Stupid Utah

Re: OMG my nipples HURT!
That's what's weird, is they normally don't hurt to take off, and they aren't on that tight. But lately, it seems that it's just taking little pieces off, not enough that i notice at the time, but enough to make them sore later. I will check out the sticky bras though thanks!

Re: OMG my nipples HURT!
Are you close to getting your period? I know a few days before mine my nips get sore real easy.
I wonder if you maybe put some vaseline or lotion on just the nips and use the other glue stuff around it to keep the pastie in place.
I like the idea of the nude ones and decorating it how you want. Then you are only limited by your imagination.

Re: OMG my nipples HURT!
why don't you use spirit gum?
http://www.twirlygirl.net/products/catalog.asp?catID=1
there's a seperate chemical to remove it. that's what i use when i make people up with stage makeup (for hallowe'en and things) with facial prosthetics, and i've never known it to cause irritation. it lasts and lasts, too. though i really wouldn't reccommend putting any chemicals on yourself until the wounds are healed. try aloe (fresh from the plant only) and vitamin e for that.

Re: OMG my nipples HURT!
Venus - I thought about that, I used to use it when I did stage make up as well. However, I think the chemicals would be too harsh for that skin. Stage makeup even did a number on my face. Sigh. I wish I could afford to take some time off :(

Re: OMG my nipples HURT!
Did someone say rhinestones? I love it! We have to cover our nipples only, I usually use liquid skin, then nail polish on top of that. So do you just glue the rhinestones on your nipples? Sounds great!!

Re: OMG my nipples HURT!
I was so excited to see those flowers...til I realized they only come in beige (not allowed here) DAMMIT DAMMIT DAMMIT! Ok I'm over it lol.
Oh, and there's a chick that makes the jeweled pasties, they're kinda pricey, but you can use them over and over again. www.ginasgems.com

Re: OMG my nipples HURT!
What if you used the beige bras then paint them with fabric paint and put pretty stuff on them? I know its time consuming but it may be worth it in the long run..

Re: OMG my nipples HURT!
This is how I got started doing the bodypainting--covering up the tape they had to wear in Daytona for a couple of years, and making it look cool instead of like ugly tape.
Flowers were among the very best designs--they always looked really good, especially with the flourescent paint.
Hey Guenevere, maybe we should combine our creative inclinations and start making custom pasties that would last--what do you think? PaigeDWinter might like to get involved as well--she has also had a lot of experience doing body painting (as well as a lot of other very cool artistic endeavors).

Re: OMG my nipples HURT!
I've used electrical or duct tape for fashion shows. Why not tape circles of those over them and then adhere the pastie to that? or just glue rhinestones onto the duct tape itself? It didn't hurt to pull them off and I'd think that you could use them several nights in a row without it hurting or pulling of skin.

Re: OMG my nipples HURT!
Spirit gum is way too harsh for sensitive nipple skin. When I was doing screen make-up, I used a product called Prozaid whenever I had to adhere bald caps to actors heads. Prozaid is a very strong adhesive that is meant to be used on the skin, and can be removed with baby oil. You can find it at make-up stores that cater to those make-up artists in the film industry. It is expensive, but very effective.

Re: OMG my nipples HURT!
Sxybrat, it's possible you might have had a milk gland infection. That happened to a friend of mine. (I hope it's better by now, since it's been a while since your post.) If it happens again, try to look for little bumps that aren't normally there-- it could be a gland that has filled with pus.
I'm about to start working in a pastie club, and I'm hoping I can find some way to keep my poor sensitive nips from getting adhesive on them. So far the flower things with paint seem like the best option.

Re: OMG my nipples HURT!
Even if you can't use liquid latex... could you not use it to stick on the pasties?

Re: OMG my nipples HURT!
I have to wear pasties too! I used to were mole skin but it started to tear my areolas. I have really cool metal pasties and I use double sided carpet tape to keep them on. They never hurt when I take them off and they stay on all night.
