Just got my first breast augmentation
I'm still really tired. I had the operation about 3 days ago. I went from an a/b cup to almost a D. The biggest challenge that I'm having right now is learning how to sleep on my back. I just read an article about women with implants getting fibromyalgia and rheumatoid arthritis. The doctor told me that these diseases can occur in anyone. My doctor was Dr. Gibney out of Scottsdale. He has done over 5,000 BAs and is a certified plastic surgeon. I think most of the women that work in his office have had procedures done by him as well. I had a good feeling about him when I met him.

Re: Just got my first breast augmentation
Yea, my doc told me not to sleep on my back for at least a week. I hope your recovery goes well and that someone is helping you too. Just remember rest even if you dont feel like it. Itll be good for them in the long run. Happy recovering :)
Re: Just got my first breast augmentation
Congrats! Take it easy, and get as much rest as possible. And post pics when you get a chance!
Re: Just got my first breast augmentation
Did you go over or under? I went under and was sore for about 3 weeks. Good luck!

Interesting, your doc told you TO sleep on your back, and TigersMilk's said NOT to... /:O
Anyway, here's to a speedy recovery hun! ;D
Re: Just got my first breast augmentation
my PS told me to do what I wanted and whatever felt confortable. I went completely under the muscle and was sore for about 3 days and felt somewhat stiff for 3 or 4 weeks (probably because I went completely under the muscle)
Re: Just got my first breast augmentation
Thanx for the good luck. I went under the muscle, but I'm really not too, too sore. I work out a lot so I'm used to the type of pain associated with muscles. It hurt for the first 2-3 days. Now it's just achy. I just can't wait to get back to my usual self. I know it will take a few days though. They are still up pretty high, but they fall into place after a month to a few months.
Re: Just got my first breast augmentation
Feel free to blog about it like TigersMilk did... the more women that do that the better so that everyone can get a nice rounded picture what it is all like... from the first few days to months down the road.
Especially me as I am seriously considering it even tho' I've been on the fence for ages about it and said I don't need it... why should I fix something that isn't broken.. and what not.. just that I wouldn't mind going from my A/B cup to a nice C cup. D cup would look stupid on me (I'm petite so I don't want to go too big just want to 'fill out' a bit more than I want I am naturally).
Re: Just got my first breast augmentation
I had to sleep on my back, but elevated. Here's a trick that requires about 4 pillows, but is very good, especially if you're used to sleeping on your side or stomach.
Make the pillows into a "ramp", then take the 4th pillow and tuck it between your neck and your shoulder, like when you hold a phone receiver without your hands. This will support your neck and head and allow you to relax those muscles without having to turn on your side. It helped me get much more restful sleep while I was healing. (Still does now, for that matter!)
