chicken sh*t
I think i am the biggest scardey kat ever! I really want to start dancing and my partner has given me the okay. I have an interview on tuesday but i think i am going to back down. I weigh the pros with the cons and here goes:
Pro
its something i have allways wanted to do
it will help with body confidence
i will hopefully earn some money
I will have fun on the job (unlike some other jobs)
cons
I am worried what my daughter will think when she gets older
I dont want my mum or any one else to know
I dont want it to ruin my reputation as i am currently studying
The cons are what is really letting me down. I mean i am going into the city (melbourne) in the hope no one will recognise me but there is still a possibility and this is freaking me out. WHAT THE HELL DO I DO????????? :-[
XOXOXO

Re: chicken sh*t
IMO, it's a personal choice, and if you decide to strip... well, you're not hurting anyone. If they don't like it, f*** 'em.
But, I understand that circumstances make this easier said than done. You just have to do some soul searching to decide your priorities.

Re: chicken sh*t
Do you really need the money? If you have this much trepidation, maybe it is not worth the risk.
To address the "what to tell the kids" question....I decided to tell my (future) kids the truth, because I've never done anything I couldn't live with, and I am dancing to make a better life. Tell your child "I loved you enough to do anything for you."

Re: chicken sh*t
Thanks heaps, No i dont need the money but that is not the sole reason i want to do this. It is something i have always wanted to do. But i am really worried about telling my mum or not telling my mum. I mean what should i do, to tell or not to tell that is the question lol!!! ;D
Is it absoloutly essential to have a tan. I am only going to get a photo in my underwear there is no work on the pole yet. Also will i get the photo taken in shoes or no shoes??? sorry to bug you all with these nerver ending questions i am just a little worried.
thanks again eveyone i appreciate it! :-*

Re: chicken sh*t
Photo with shoes, some clubs by law require shoes on stage (insurance liability.)
Tan, work out, skimpy bikinis. You do have to look your best all the time. Good luck & have fun.

Re: chicken sh*t
I had the exact same feelings before I started stripping and I don't regret one single thing! I have been having so much fun dancing and making so much money, it's been great for once not worrying about how I'm going to pay for each bill, it's nice getting closer & closer to paying off my credit card. What I did and this might help you is, I told myself that I'd try it for a month and if I didn't like it then I wouldn't do it anymore. The first night I tried dancing, I didnt' like it, I walked out of the club. What I realize is it just wasn't the right club for me. They were really nice, awesome to me, everyone was great but that just wasn't the right club for me. That did at first discourage me and I thought that dancing really wasn't for me but there was still this nagging feeling that I still wanted to do it. So I checked out this club in my town with an incredible reputation. My friend who used to dance there took, introduced me to the managers, everything, and I've been there ever since. I wouldn't change ANYTHING!!!! Go for it and give it a try! If you don't like it, you can always stop and you can move on and know that at least you know either way. Looking back, I found that not knowing the worst part of it all. If your SO gives you the Ok, that's the one of the biggest hurdles to get over, I say go for it, what do you have to lose?

Re: chicken sh*t
Good luck !
As for Melbourne, it is a rather big city... you'll just be another dance if you work in one of the more bigger clubs and thus allowing you to be anonymous as you like. Also, telling your mother or not is dependant on how close you are with her.
If she calls you or you call her once a week or more... and you know her well enough to know she won't set foot inside one of those places... just tell her you are waitressing or bartending for extra money at the particular club.... otherwise, don't tell her until you really really find the need to tell her.
Just make sure you don't reveal too much about your life to other dancers at the club too much. Try to keep the topics superficial if you do find you are speaking with another dancer.

Re: chicken sh*t
Just do what makes You happy and don't give a fuck what anyone eles thinks about it. Don't let anyone bring You down with what You do or what You wanna do just because they don't think its okay for them. You'r the only one living You'r life and You only have one life so live it the way YOU want to.
