Doesn't anyone use Instead cups? I don't know if they work for heavy flow 'cause mine is pretty light, but you can have sex with them in and everything and I like 'em.

I once a cut a tampon to a little shorter than half i's normal length, and cut the string off and put it back in the applicator and inserted all the way to the top. Removal isn't to pleasant but it worked.
Yes, I used the natural sea sponges for an X rated photo shoot once. It worked amazingly well. Just make sure you rinse it out after a few hours. I think mine (with day 3 flow - mine usually lasts 7 days) was in for 5 or 6 hours and it didn't leak.Quote:

I checked the Diva Cup website. It says you CAN'T have intercourse while using it. You can definitely have intercourse with the sponge and it's so much more comfortable and cheaper too.
Hey I loved that movie! (A Dirty Shame)
I used to use them long before I had my daughter and my periods were heavy. I never leaked and still had sex without any problems. They are available online. I'd rather try that than the sponge since the instead cup can be kept in for 12 hours at a time.Quote:
