WW 2 Music
I have to put together a World War 2 Music set for a dancer entering a competition. She will start with The Andrew Sisters - Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy and then we want to bring up the style of today music using swing, jazz or pop/dance songs.
At the moment i'm going to use a remix of Christina Aguilera's - Ain't No Other Man but i'd rather use some music from her forthcoming album Back To Basics [rather than the new single] because i'm sure CD1 will have some great tracks on it. Plus there is a song called "Still Dirrty" which i'm hanging out to hear. Problem is the album IS not out for a few weeks and i need to put the set together in the next week.
Anybody have any suggestions or an advanced copy of Back To Basics

Re: WW 2 Music
Mark Farina has an acid jazz/techno CD, I will have to post the name of the CD later as it's packed up, but the song is called "Bushes in the Park", which is about fooling around in the bushes...
It's got the 40's style female vocals, but is very upbeat jazz techno--it's one of my favorite songs, though is only suitable for rare combinations of dancer and crowd.
I think it would be perfect for what you are looking for.
