Corporate Flight Attendant
so this girl from my club went to take this course (cost $2500) lasts like 5 days in fort lauderdale and she says that a corporate flight attendant makes from $350 to $500 a day plus per diem and hotel $
anyone can take the course, not only former flight attendants
anybody here ever heard of this job?
they say there s a big demand for this position but they of course want people taking the course...... but the school says would help you with finding jobs and connecting you with the industry.......basically you d work in private flights for rich private jets owners.
Re: Corporate Flight Attendant
I know nothing about this line of work, but I have to say.... I've been to two "vocational" colleges... they ALL say they help you find work... I have yet to see anyone I went to school with, or myself, get help from the schools.

Re: Corporate Flight Attendant
If a company is willing to pay an employee that well why would they not have paid training?
I have a friend that is a flight attendant with a major airline. They dont get paid that much for all they do. But they get paid to be trained. My friend is 5'4 btw and has worked there for years.
I would call this school, ask them about the companies they work with, get names and numbers, call the companies to see what they are really offering. If you can't do that chances are it is a scam.
Re: Corporate Flight Attendant
$2500 for 5 days sounds really steep just to learn how to be a corporate flight attendant. Something about it just doesn't sound right.
So what's the point of getting a job like this? To try to land a rich husband? I guess since guys that fly private don't really seem to spend money at strip clubs like they used to 10+ years ago, it makes sense.
Re: Corporate Flight Attendant
Hmm....I was checking out the link JZ provided, and got to wondering about the thorough background check. Do you think the major carriers would have a problem hiring former strippers? I'm guessing yes. Does anyone know differently?
It's the kind of job I'd like, but it used to pay well; now it pays crap--the median for beginning flight attendants was listed as 15K! :O
Re: Corporate Flight Attendant
i dont think your dancing would come up if you never got a licence or filed taxes as adult entertainer,,,
i know 15k is crappy but you have 4 days off a week...
Re: Corporate Flight Attendant
If your friend is hot lots of rich guys/ power lesbos will pay her to pour their scotch on the lear jets. The course probably is some kind of safety certification.
Re: Corporate Flight Attendant
There are several airlines hiring right now. Go to www.afanet.org to find out who is hiring. I just finished training for a major airline. I love it so far but the starting pay is very low for commercial flight attendants. That 18 bucks a hour they promise is per flight hour. That means you get paid 18 dollars a hour while you are in the air. While you are on the ground you only get paid per diam which is usually a buck or so a hour and by law you can't be up in the air for more than 8 hours daily, 30 hours weekly and the max amount hours per month is 100.
Re: Corporate Flight Attendant
ooh, that sucks. I thought flight attendants made more. I knew a couple pilots who told me they'd slow down the plane sometimes so they could get more hours.
Re: Corporate Flight Attendant
Im a Corporate Flight Attendant and yes its all legit and yes the training is pricey but anyone who needs help should fill out for a scholorship through www.nbaa.com and its very easy. The two best training schools are FACTS and Flight Safety. The pay is great, the benefits are great, you have a better chance at traveling international to places you never heard of and the CEO are pigs just like the club custies, whatelse would you ask for! :) dont worry the training pays for itself
Re: Corporate Flight Attendant
I knew someone who was a corporate flight attendant and she didn't have to pay to train. I think she just got hired because she was cute and friendly. And I don't think she made all that much $ either.

My former employer, a public utility, had corporate flight attendants on their big jets. I got to fly on the company jets a couple of times. It looked like hard work. Not only did she have to do the safety briefing and check seatbelts, but she had to serve drinks, cook, serve meals, show the execs how to use the onboard internet and seemingly a hundred other little jobs. She had to help load and unload the luggage too! There was a flight coordinator who booked rental cars and hotel rooms. But the flight attendant had to follow up on all that stuff too. Basically while we sat and worked or ate, she was on her feet. If she sat down, it was to make phone calls. :-\
My new company can't afford a big jet, all we have is a time share on a little jet. The co-pilot has to do the luggage and safety briefing. The passengers get their own food and drinks and figure out the internet and flight phone on their own. The time share company will arrange for rental cars and catering, but we pay extra for that. :-(
Oh, and one other thing, the FAs were all short. The cabin on even the big corporate jets isn't all that high, so I think they looked for short girls.
