How to work effectively with other girls?
I've never worked with other dancers because I tend to clam up and feel clueless. I'm not sure how to act. I'm pretty good at selling myself as myself, but not myself and another girl as a package.
I see many girls team up and approach groups of customers and make tons of money. How do they do that? Any tips?
Re: How to work effectively with other girls?
First, find a girl you know and trust. She doesnt have to look just like you, but maybe a similar style is in your best interest. For instance, my friend and I have totally different body types and hair colors, but we do well together because we are the 'white rocker chicks' that are best friends.
I find what works best for us is for ONE girl to approach a guy at first, then the other will walk over and join in the conversation. They usually buy us drinks or ask how we met. This is a good conversation starter - discussing how close and comfortable you are with each other - how much fun you have together.
Then when you are ready to close, tell him how many double dances you've done together in the past and how much fun it is. Be playful with her (not overtly sexual) by maybe putting your arm around her and the guy at the same time, or I find twirling HER hair around my finger works.
It's easier to be in a good mood when you've got another girl to laugh and smile with, so selling doubles can be really easy. A serious intellectual hustle isn't really worthwhile in this situation. Keep it light and fun.
If you are approaching a group of guys, pick two that are closest together or that look like they are close pals. Two guys instead of 7 works better, obviously. Have your friend flirt with one while you get the other, but don't exclude the other 'couple'. Talk within the group openly and also keep it light and fun with similar conversation topics as I mentioned above.
