Best to work in or out of the town you live in?
I'm going back to college soon but my school is in a really small city and there are only two stripclubs I could potentially work at. I've heard these clubs are very skanky, you need a permit to dance there which costs almost $600, and I would most likely be recognized by my peers if they were ever to come into the club. There is another town which is about an hour drive from where I live which has many clubs that look much more promising. I also wouldn't need a permit and I don't have any family or friends there so the chances of me being recognized would be pretty low. I would only be able to work on the weekends (Friday and Saturday nights) and I'm sure I could stay at a Motel6 or something while I was staying in the other town but I'm still worried that it might be too much of a bargain. Has anyone had a good or bad experience working in another town somewhat far from where they usually live and commuting on the weekends? I'm basically just concerned if it would be worth it. I know you all aren't psychics or anything but I'd like to know if you've heard of or experienced anything like this and what the outcome was.

First I think you should look at reviews of the clubs near you and see how they rank compared to the others. If they are good, I would just stay in town. It is so much more convenient and you could always work on less popular nights (Sunday-Thursday.) Personally, I don't think it is worth the drive to get out of town.
Your friends and family will most likely find out you dance anyways, and if you tell them to respect you and not come on nights you work it will spare you all the awkwardness and you wouldn't have to be sneaking around.

I agree on that. I don't want to sneak around, but the club I chose is an hour away and very low key. That's perfect for me since I'm totally new. But I know I'll come out of the closet sometime, as a stripper! :)
