Their names were given by the shelter I'd adopted them from because they were to be adopted together. They would always groom each other and have always been affectionate with each other - hence the names Romeo and Juliet. I thought they were particularly fitting names, so I kept 'em.
The first one is Romeo ... the second, Juliet. Though 'Catloaf' is (unfortunately :-\) an apt description for her as well. Ah well, better that she be a bit overweight than underfed and malnourished, which is how she was when I first got her.
