How do I make money with a "no hustle" policy?
I've been dancing for almost two years, but it's been mostly at small clubs and I'm looking to move to a larger club. I've found the club I wanna dance at, the only problem is that they don't allow hustling at all. Like you can't even go out and sit with the guys while they're hanging out at the club. The owner calls that "demeaning." Now I hate to hustle, so that's a good thing for me, but I'm not rightly sure how I can convince the guys to buy dances if I can't talk to them. Also, the way the club is set up, there are like 6 mini-stages, with walkways between them and you only get a song or two on each "stage" before you have to move on to a new set of customers, so there isn't much of a chance to get aquanted with them. I like the idea of not having to hustle, and the club is large, clean, and not a brothel. Also, it's really close to home for me, like only a 15 minute drive, which sure beats an hour and a half! So I REALLY wanna work there, I'm just not sure how to sell dances without a conversation with the guys.

What is it with these backwards clubs not allowing hustling anymore?? WTF is going on?
I can't understand how girls are expected to make money in these types of situations. I guess all you can do is buy a stripper pole, practice your moves and do a really kick-ass stage set. Maybe make a lot of eye contact and smile on stage.
Otherwise, I have no idea.

Smile, eye contact & body language.
You say you can't go out and sit with the guys, but are you still allowed to "work the room"? For example can you go out, say "hello" and greet them to the club without asking for a dance? You can work the room by giving off a fun and flitatious vibe just by how you move about, play with the customers, bouncers, waitresses, etc. I've seen some dancers who really know how to work a room and bouce around such that it always seems like they have a spot light on them.
Even though you can't "hustle" them or sit with them, can you introduce yourself, and let them know that you'll be on stage soon?

Also what you wear may help. If you have something on that's eye catching or stands out, like clothes that glow under a black light, or maybe something like this.....
"Anyone seen these yet? FIREJEWEL!!!"

Re: How do I make money with a "no hustle" policy?
Try it out, but I don't think there would be a high earning potential in a no hustle club. It seems like the owner is looking at it w/out a dancers perspective.
Re: How do I make money with a "no hustle" policy?
The club has a rule that you can't go out and talk to the customers at all--only while you are on stage. You can't introduce yourself, talk to them, or even wander around the room with them. The thing is, I know girls at this club make BANK! Like an aquantance of mine pulled in $80K last year from there. I guess the guys know enough to get private dances when they want them.
Re: How do I make money with a "no hustle" policy?
I personallly would avoid any club like that. The money in this business is in APPROACHING as many customers as possible, using DW techniques and talking them into buying dances. Waiting for someone to come to you is not where the money is at.
There must be plenty of clubs within driving distance of where you live where you can control the customer instead of waiting for him to decide to spend money on you.
Re: How do I make money with a "no hustle" policy?
it's definitely less money.
damn girl I thought I had it bad here. They won't let us hustle here either, but they'lll at least let us talk 2 the damn custys.
Re: How do I make money with a "no hustle" policy?
Maybe your friend talks them up from stage. Why don't you ask her?
Re: How do I make money with a "no hustle" policy?
If I had to work in a club like this I'd find the customers watching my stage shows, and try to figure who seems interested. As soon as these customers came to tip me I'd say something like, "Thanks so much. If you like what you see up here, you'd love what I do it private." I don't know if that is hustling, but if you can do it I'm sure it'll plant the seed in the head of a customer wanting to spend money on you.
Re: How do I make money with a "no hustle" policy?
Selling from the stage is a great technique that will work sometimes in a club that gets a large tip rail crowd, but a dancer still needs to be able to sit with the customer after her set and complete the sale.
Not being able to sit with a customer and sell him is a BIG problem. Why does the owner discourage dancer and customer verbal interaction? Have you asked him?
Working under those types of condiditons is like working in a brothel or massage parlor where all the available girls line up and the customer chooses who he likes. Being at the mercy of the customer is no way to make money in a sales business, and this business IS a sales business.
