Finding a lesbian club to work in
I especially love dancing for women, and I've always wanted to work at a lesbian-only, or lesbian-friendly club, but I've never been able to find one that specifically catered to lesbians. Does this sort of club exist? and if so, how can I find it? Is there a registry for clubs that get regular lesbian customers?

Re: Finding a lesbian club to work in
I've heard of a regular strip club that had 'lesbian night'- but not one for them specifically. Too bad there wasn't a bigger market for them- maybe in the future as more women come out the closet?
Let me know if you find anything. ;)
Or maybe not- if too many attractive women come in I'd be fired for leaving with custy's. ;D

Re: Finding a lesbian club to work in
Yeah, the whole "leaving with customers" thing could have got me fired . . . my girlfriend and I took home another lesbian couple once . . . good thing the club owner never found out, he was an ass, and he ended up firing me because he found out I was truely, truely a lesbian, and not just waiting for the right penis to show up. God only knows what he would have done if he had known that we took home some customers.

Re: Finding a lesbian club to work in
It seems there HAS to be one in San Francisco just by my logic. Hmmm... o.O

Re: Finding a lesbian club to work in
I have no idea where one is, but let us know if you do find one. I'd check it out in a heartbeat. Women are so easy to sell to (not to mention fun to make out with)!!

Re: Finding a lesbian club to work in
The Candy Bar in Soho, London puts on regular strip shows for lesbians. A lot of the White Horse, Shoreditch girls I know work there and love it, they get paid directly by the club and the audience loves good dancers with elaborate costumes. There is also a branch in Brighton which is the gay capital of the UK.

Re: Finding a lesbian club to work in
I'd love to work in a lesbian club. There is one night per week at this stripclub in Louisville, KY that caters to women. I think it's either every Sunday or Monday. Maybe I'll go down there one time as a customer and see how it is ran.

the lusty lady in san francisco is about the closest you can get. it's a peep show, not a strip club, per se. i've heard that most of the employees are queer....the bonus is that it's the only employee-owned club in the city. girl-on-girl action, too.
centerfolds down the street has shower shows, but they seem to cater to men.
too bad you aren't male because nob hill theatre is a male strip club catering to men.

Re: Finding a lesbian club to work in
In the St. Louis area, there are a couple of clubs that are known as couples/lesbian friendly, although there are no specific night for it. (All SC's are on the east side of the river in Illinois) Just about any night of the week at these clubs you will find female custys, although most are straight/bi curious. At least 2 clubs have girl/girl sex shows but these are definatly designed for the male viewer.
There is also a lesbian nightclub here that has dancers, but they aren't strippers.....Think a lesbian version of Coyote Ugly. It's on the Missouri side of the river.
As a female custy, I feel comfortable is most of the clubs in the area.

Re: Finding a lesbian club to work in
Here in LA most every club is female-friendly, and the only lesbian "stripclubs" that I know of are after-hours ones that are usually held in places other than stripclubs.
There are also alot of lesbian bars with go-go girls dancing (some in cages), if anyone is into that type of thing. No lap dances at the go-go girl places, tho (at least not out in the open! ;))

Looks like the new gay mecca Atlanta beat San Francisco to it!
I was checking out a strip club site for Atlanta when I noticed a new club name- I clicked on the link- and it was an all women club! I can't wait to check it out...I guess it is a nightclub/strip club in one.

Re: Finding a lesbian club to work in
It may not be as cool as you think, I was talking to a friend of mine who does mainly feature dancing and she was all hyped up about performing at a girls only night, she'd thought it would be a great gig!. Turns out the lesbians who attended were really crappy tippers. She usually makes heaps of bonus money for a feature show, but this show she got practically zip.
Does anyone else find that gals are less likely to tip?

I'm gonna be really honest...I don't tip. :-X Alot of dancers dont' do anything special enough for me to want to tip, let alone buy a dance from.

Re: Finding a lesbian club to work in
^^^Yeah, I'm thinking the same thing. I have never gotten good money from lesbians. They're just like straight girls--think they don't have to pay because they're chicks. This is just my experience, of course.
-
Re: Finding a lesbian club to work in
I tip double or more because I know how hard it is. o.O;

Re: Finding a lesbian club to work in
It's a toss up I believe.
At my old club the straight women tip just like the guys do if they are enjoying themselves. Then you have the ones who just come in the club to hang out. Lots of times you see women really getting into the lapdances whether their boyfriend is there or not. I remember one time a lady got put out of the club because she got out of hand during the lapdance.
From what I have seen from the dykes in my area are if they know you are gay they will certainly pay. I have seen a dancer get over $200 on stage after she put on her rainbow bikini. The guys were upset but she still banked off of the lesbians.

Re: Finding a lesbian club to work in
I tip most every girl onstage, and buy more lap dances than all of my male friends combined!
Not all of us lesbians are cheapskates...but,as usual - I'm probably in the minority as far as spending goes.
Oh well.
I'll keep tippin' & buyin', and hope that my cheap dyke-sisters eventually catch on and do the same! ;)

Re: Finding a lesbian club to work in
I only tip if I like the dancer onstage. If she comes to me afterwards to thank me and chat then I'll get a dance depending on the club atmosphere. I don't want to ask for a dance outright because I think of the girls I work with who say they hate dancing for women lol.

I hear what you're saying about the "hate dancing for women thing", but it never stopped me before. If I see a dancer that catches my eye, I'll approach her & ask for a dance. I haven't been disappointed yet! (knocking on wood).
I figure that most dancers really don't want to be dancing for ANYONE, and the smile they wear and the contact they make is just all part of the fantasy act that we custy's are paying for.As long as she gives me a great dance, regardless of what she really thinks, I'm happy.Like I said....so far I have never gotten a rotten dance.
So far....! :O

Re: Finding a lesbian club to work in
There used to be a lesbian owned club in Pittsburgh that got a lot of lesbian customers, but the club was sold to a guy and got less queer friendly.

Re: Finding a lesbian club to work in
Do you mean Donnie's? I've been there a few times.

I tip. I probably tip more than most men around here, and I'm not a lesbian. :P

I take it you never knew her and Missy dated?? Missy had that coochie hemmed up girl! It was right after Eva and the chocolate brother from NYPD Blue broke off their engagement!
