I personally feel that bitch shouldn't have aired that show. Especially, when you know someone isn't in their right frame of mind. She did it all for the ratings.
I personally feel that Nancy Grace is a total idiot and should be yanked off the TV.
She sucks, and that's putting it nicely.
Melinda agreed to do the interview, so how is it wrong for Nancy Grace to have aired it? In addition, like Nancy said, Melinda killed herself before the interview was aired. Doesn't that seem a bit odd to anyone else?
Whatever happened, a mother is dead and her son is still missing. A tragic end to this story for everyone involved.
Nancy Grace is a bitch. I watched her show a few times back in the spring, and I can't stand her. She's just an obnoxious, bitchy cunt, and this is coming from someone who really likes Dr. Laura.
Dit-motherphuckin'-to ^^^ I can't stand that wench, she's heartless.
Yeah all this isnt too far from me. Been keeping up on it. Nancy Grace was way out of line with her way of questioning and shouldnthave been so vicious. >:(
Isn't that the truth! She should work for FoxNews instead. She and that Hannity guy are two peas in a pod.Quote:

This could have been helpful information if anyone had seen somone following Melinda and Trent around. Nancy Grace asked the father of the child similar questions and he was able to answer them in a straightforward manner. Also who would kill themselves unless they knew for certain that their child wasn't going to come back alive?
It wasn't just Grace on the show either. Mark Klaas and Mark Lundsford were on the show too. They know the horror of what it is like to loose a child. If Nancy was really being too hard on Melinda I am sure they would have said something.
Melinda kept avoiding direct questions. That does not sound like a mother who wants to bring her child back alive. When Melinda came on the Nancy Grace show she kept saying how she didn't like the media and how the media was unkind to her. The media is more than just Nancy Grace. Melinda was playing the boo hoo, poor me, I'm a victim card as soon as she started talking.
IMO it was guilt that made Melinda Duckett kill herself, not Nancy. The story she had made no sense and I think it was the police who were coming down on her web of lies. I am no Nancy Grace fan but I have much more dislike for a potential child killer even more. My heart goes out to the poor little boy.
See now... for what she does for a living, she should have chilled out. She was questioning BOTH parents like a cop should, not some damned camera humper. Sorry. Its true.
GRACE: You got dressed. Why were you undressed?
JOSH DUCKETT: I was in bed. I mean, I was ready for bed.
GRACE: Where do you work?
JOSH DUCKETT: So...
GRACE: Where do you work?
JOSH DUCKETT: I work for Doneright (ph) Electric in Wildwood (ph).
GRACE: Do you get up early in the morning to go to work?
JOSH DUCKETT: Yes.
GRACE: What time do you get up in the morning?
JOSH DUCKETT: I normally leave my house by at the latest 6:00 o`clock.
GRACE: So you were already in bed at 9:45. How far away from the home do you live?
JOSH DUCKETT: I`m an hour away from Leesburg.
What would be the point of asking these things?
GRACE: And what are your visitations with the little boy?
JOSH DUCKETT: Every other weekend and then on Wednesdays.
GRACE: Do you always see him?
JOSH DUCKETT: I have up until June.
GRACE: And what do you do with him when you get him?
JOSH DUCKETT: Just family stuff. I mean, have friends over to visit. We go to parks. We go out to eat. Just family activities, spend a lot of time, go swimming.
WTF? How is that useful in an interview?
And what about asking what stores? I mean really. Let the cos do that shit. You have two stressed parents, sitting in front of cameras and lights, being questioned just as much as they would if they were suspects in a police station! Yeah, that ups stress. A lot. A ton.
Dont know if the lady did something to her son or not, but the bottom line is, she stated clearly and repeatedly, that she had given all of the info to the investigators and to the FBI and she didnt want to share all the info w/Nancy and had been told not too. It's like Nancy just got pissed cause she wouldnt. Like I said, dont know if the mother was innocent or not, but either way, I think Nancy dealt with it wrong and if she had spent more time "listening" instead of demanding she might have heard a word she said.
Grace is a former prosecutor. Anyhoo, she got hired because she was an aggressive interviewer, so if ppl have an issue with that, bring it to the producers of CNN that hired her specifically for that trait.
Her attitude is great in the courtroom- you want a pit bull in the courtroom.
Nowadays, when kids go missing- family are the suspects. When a wife goes missing, suspect number 1 is the husband. Whether we like it or not, that's unfortunately the situation. Nancy was aggressive, but Melinda was bound to be asked some pretty hard questions in the near future, if not from Nancy, then from the cops and other news media.
It's an unfortunate situation, but Nancy isn't to blame. It's sad that the mother is dead, I hope she had nothing to do with her child's disappearance, and I hope Trenton gets found soon.
Why isn't the Dad a suspect? Wasn't there an order of protection for the mother from the courts?
It seems that they were going through a nasty divorce and custody battle. Then he was court ordered to stay away from the Mother by an act of protection. At some point after that she has some male friends over to her place watch a movie. Next thing that happens is the kid ends up missing and the Mother dead :-\
Sounds to me like the kid's father might have been trying to punish her by taking the kid. Maybe he also killed her and made it look like suicide. It's been known to happen. Stuff like that is alot more common than a mother killing her kid and then herself.
It said he took a polygraph test and passed - not that thats really a guarantee. I agree that the whole thing is sad but I wouldn't blame Nancy Grace. She's like that with everyone, and everyone knows it. They agreed to the interview.
Another great deed from your friendly CNN.
I am 25 and did not know who is Nacy Grace. Well not until now that is, I think she was really mean. I could only image what emotional sate that women was in! Her child was missing! Thats enought to drive any woman crazy. Being a young mother is hard enought! There must have been so many thoughts and emotions runing thru her head. Instead of the media helping her, it seem as if they where attacking her! I for one do not believe, attacking the woman is going to help the situation! It's not going to help get her child back!
What if the child is found still alive? The media in my opion gets out line alot! I know this is a free country. So I can say this what Nancy did was wrong! Do anybody knows if Nancy have children?
Yes but in the end, CNN and FOX are both bad these days.... can we go back to pre gulf war CNN? please, and to this my family wonders why I watch the news on PBS more than the others.Quote:

We have bias so you don't decide Ok.
The father was the primary suspect at first. He was able to answer the FBI's and police questions in a satisfactory manner. He has also never had a lawyer while the mother had one. And it's not true that men are more likely to kill their offspring than women. The only 2 crimes that women commit just as much, if not more than men, are shoplifting and filicide.Quote:

The parents were never under glaring lights, they were on the phone. The questions that Nancy Grace asked were simple, and straightforward. Her interview was extremely mild compared to an FBI or police interrogation. Anyone who is the victim or a witness of violent crime will have very tough questions handed to them. Asking where she went shopping is not a tough question and could have brought home vital information for anyone who was watching and had been in those stores and had seen Melinda and Trenton being followed. Melinda was the last person to be seen with Trenton and is responsible for getting as much information out there as possible for her son's safe recovery. Any loving mother would want to do so.
It just doesn't make sense for someone to is hoping for their son to come home to off themselves after a little embarassment of a 15 minute interview. No matter if she was innocent or not, if she and her lawyers didn't feel that she was "emotionally stable" enough for the interview she and her lawyers should have decided against it. I am sure her lawyer spoke with the producers of the show so Nancy's tactics wouldn't have been a secret to Melinda. If she was more concerned with saving face than the recovery of her son, she should have never did the interview. From what I have seen about Melinda's life, it looks to be filled with brash, irrational, and impulsive decisicions. Grace can not be faulted for Melinda's irresponsible behavior.
