Re: hard to maintain health
You've answered your question. You're not eating properly, you're not getting excersize other than working and you're smoking a lot of cigs. Sleeping all day long is not good for you. You need 8 hours but anything more than 10 can be unhealthy. Are you drinking a lot too? That could also be a factor. How long have you been dancing? To some degree your body will adjust and you will aquire new muscles, but hell sometimes I wake up and feel like I got run over.
Avoid Mcdonalds and fast food. They are bad bad bad. If you don't like to cook, then have something ready for when you get home. Soup, salad, vegetables, whole grain bread, boneless skinless chicken breast etc. There are plenty of dieting tips out there. Vitamins are a good idea, start with a multi-vitamin. I don't believe in taking energy pills or stimulants. With proper dieting and excersize most people will aquire a new-found energy and vitality naturally. What helped me years ago when I was doing the same things as you was hiring a personal trainer. It cost a pretty penny but it motivated me, and showed me a new way to live.
Your body is your moneymaker now. You must invest in it or it will begin to show signs of neglect.
Re: hard to maintain health
Basic things to get you started.
multivitamin, vit Bs help with energy
2L water/day minimum...pure water
lots of green veggies
protein
whole foods...avoid processed food as much as possible
no white flour or sugar, or limit these a lot
quick snacks: nuts, cheese strings, trail mix, yogurt, fruits, celery and other raw veggies with dip
limit caffeine and alcohol
quit smoking
healthy fats...not all fats are bad, some you need
Re: hard to maintain health
^ You forgot to add sleep. You need proper sleep. ;)
Re: hard to maintain health
Wanna know what got me through 13 hour shifts, on your feet, trying not to eat because eating meant not making money? Starbucks espresso. I try not to drink it anymore. Other girls take energy pills like hydroxycuts, but those make me Mr. Hyde. Worse than PMS hormones. Also, eating slows you down because you get tired after you eat, but if I don't eat for too long then I start to get irritable because of low blood sugar. Finally, it's super-hard for me to stay up late. I work nights because the money is good, but deep down inside I am a morning person, so I want to be up with the sun and go to bed when it's dark. Physiologically sunshine regulates your body's sleep, so this may be causing you problems. PM me if you want more advice.

Sleep was already covered by avaschetah. I didn't feel the need to repeat advice that had already been given.

How does not eating not make you money? The espresso might be good for the night but doing it instead of eating properly is terrible for you in the long run..
Like avacheetahs said "Your body is your moneymaker now. You must invest in it or it will begin to show signs of neglect". You short change your self by using energy stimulants that are only good for a short boost.

Time in the dressing room eating is time off the floor when you could be doing dances...
