Retiree dimentia
I know this is the newb section buuuuut... what I'm about to say kinda fits with that theme.
I've spent a little bit of time on here and I notice that some girls who are semi-retired, with regular day jobs/occupations, also go back to the club one night a week (or a month) for various reasons.
Being that I am a retired dancer with a day job, would i be completely nuts if I said I'm seriously considering doing one night a week (or fortnight, whatever) doing hostessing (dance seller) or waitressing in a club round my way.
I can't get it out of my head. I won't go back to dancing because the mileage does my head in, but the sales/serving side of things is totally do-able. One club says they need 'strong hostesses' to give the young girls direction.
Apparently they tried letting the newb dancers hustle but they were crap at it, so now they have 'middle-women' to speed things along. I can do a trial tonight if I feel so inclined.
Can't hurt, can it?

Sounds like a good idea to me!

Re: Retiree dimentia
I don't see any reason why not from what you said. Obviously you're a veteran and know what's up and what to expect.
As long as you find a club that is willing to hire you and let you work the schedule you want (only working 1 night a week might be a challenge for the club hiring you), than go for it.
The only other consideration that pops into my mind is if you're willing to see people you work with at your day job possibly pop into the club.

Re: Retiree dimentia
I stopped dancing over a year ago and am planning on starting again one night a week sometime in the coming month.
If you can get a job in the club where you can use your experience, make that extra cash, and not have to go through what you don't want to- I say:
HELL YEAH GO FOR IT!!!! :)
