Re: Weird Life Aspirations
Um Ive always wanted wings. Um ...yea... Oh stuff that could happen for real...oh oh ooooh...yea. Ive been kissed in sprinkling rain so Im gonna say... being a gymnast, ice skater or cheerleader.
No, youre not crazy either.
Re: Weird Life Aspirations
I want to be a cosmotologist, a vetrinarian, a physicist, and I want the house in second hand lions.
And, I always wish I could stop and start time while doing stuff like homework. although I'd really really love to teleport. Not necessarily a special aspiration but related to the wing comment.
but, my most realistic one is that I want a cat house on my property, like in a specially modified guest house.
Re: Weird Life Aspirations
Haha, a cat house would be awesome.
Re: Weird Life Aspirations
I've always wished for a tail, like a squirrel or fox tail-all nice and poofy and pretty...
I also want to be the president of the US, I want to travel to EVERY country in this world, and I want a snow leopard for a pet!
not very ambitious, but hey, i think they are nice dreams...
Re: Weird Life Aspirations
I want to hug a penguin and ride a cow. I tried to bribe a farmer into it and when he said no and told me I'd be better off doing it at a family farm (seriously if I had a family farm would I be bribing you?) I broke into tears and spent a week crying. It really is only one of two things I want to do before I die. And I already found the place that'll let me hug a penguin...it's next year!
Re: Weird Life Aspirations
Also, I'd kill a mongoose to become a citizen of Australia. I find out Monday if I can. :( So scared!
Re: Weird Life Aspirations
I want to live to (at least) 100...it's a kind of weird life aspiration. I'm quite serious about it.
Re: Weird Life Aspirations
Well I have always wanted to move to Alaska and live off the land. I figure after a season or two I'd have enough though. Not sure.
Inventing and making useful teleporting technology would be excellent.
Re: Weird Life Aspirations
^ did you ever read 'Into the Wild' by Jon Krakauer?
Re: Weird Life Aspirations

Re: Weird Life Aspirations
Flying, teleporting. Defying gravity. Yes please. Materialising anything instantly with will. Breathing underwater without scuba (like a mermaid)
I know i'll have more to add to this list :D

It just made my to do list Scarlett.
It was either that or become a buddhist monk. Which I did consider being at one time.
Honestly, I always thought I would become a hermit of some kind.

I have a distant relative who works at Sea World. I've been in to pet the penguins (does that sound dirty, or am I twisted?) and they're soooooo cute. There's no way to describe how they feel. They're wet and soft and slippery and adorable.
As for my aspirations, I want to have my own house built, away from suburbia and big cities. I want a wraparound porch with a swing. And many of those alcove-y windows on the second floor with that comfy little seat. Most importantly, I want a totally stainless steel kitchen (I think this speaks to my OCD need to clean).
I want to work for planned parenthood (or some facsimile) in the hopes of bringing down the teens pregnancy rate (seriously, way too high).
Other than that, I want to move to Canada. I find myself wondering more and more why America can't get its act together and provide for its people.
And telekinesis. Musn't forget the telekinesis.
Re: Weird Life Aspirations
I want to be remembered by the people that matter to me as an influence they respect.
As for wild dreams, I've always wanted to have wings.
Teleportation is cool, but only if I can initiate it like nightcrawler. Sans the whole other world he goes into when he does.
Telekinesis is cool, but I'd just call it the Force.
I would like to master something that only comes with intense focused training like the being a Jedi or an Alchemist. I wouldn't want it given to me, I want a shot at it the training.
Super powers though, I would take a healing factor over any other power. I want to be shot at and know that even if it connects, the bastard is going down.
Unbreakable comes to mind.
SC0101: You know, I hate winter, but for like five days here, this wood fence on the horsefarm a family member owns is exactly what you describe. It's surreal for all of five minutes till you realize you're penis has retreated to your pecs because it's -38 before the wind chill.
Re: Weird Life Aspirations
I always wanted to be a Rockette. But I stayed short!
I wanted to be on Broadway....
and a vet... until I realized that needles were involved... heh.
Re: Weird Life Aspirations
I want to speak fluent French and have a little apartment in Paris ----- all to myself.
Re: Weird Life Aspirations
Re: Weird Life Aspirations
- Spiderman like powers, like being able to walk on walls and ceilings.
- Inventing a sport and watching a professional league result from it.
- Having my own libertarian state, free from fundies and other malcontents, with strip clubs galore.
Re: Weird Life Aspirations
Mine doesn't sound too weird, except as I imagine it, I'm always 25, wearing frilly dresses with little hats, and money isn't a concern. I'm also happy and <alone>.

OMG ME TOO! Except not Alaska, Hawaii. I lived on a commune there for a few months and it was the happiest I ever was in my life. I seriously can't imagine being that happy again. As soon as I'm done with school, I intend to let my degree go to waste for a few years while I purposefully do nothing related to British & American Literature on a Hawaiian commune by the ocean.
I also want to live in Australia. It might have something to do with the severe adorableness of all the Aussie chicks on this board. I'm convinced that the whole country is chock full of cute people. Cute people and marsupials. I've heard good things about the chocolate, too.
Oh, and when I was little, I wanted to see the Loch Ness monster. Like, so bad. I said that when I grew up I would become a scuba diver and search for the Loch Ness monster and FIND IT because IT WAS REAL. I became a scuba diver, but I haven't made it to Scotland yet, and in all honesty, I've started to recognize the whole thing as a bit of a pipe dream. Loch Ness is notoriously murky, after all.

I'd like this as well, if I am mentally and physically still ok.
Re: Weird Life Aspirations
^ Living to 100 is easy for some people. My grandfather would have if he hadn't smoked & drank. (he made it to 89.)
I wanna win a fistfight!
Re: Weird Life Aspirations
when i was a little girl, i wanted to be a mermaid when i grew up. when i found out this was not possible, i was inconsolable, until the lady nextdoor made me a costume (basically a skirt-like tail) that i wore around the house.....for a bit, i'd skid across the hardwood floors, using my arms to move. i got over this, and later became a scuba diver to compensate...still love the ocean, though.
other than that, flying would be cool.
