New poster looking for guidance...
Here's the skinny:
I'm a 36 year old "Gentlemans Club" junkie & also a serious audiophile. I googled the phrase "music to strip by" & it led me to this forum among other places.
Obviously I love watching beautiful women dance but I also endlessly crave new music experiences. That said, some of the greatest mixes & variations of songs I have ever heard were at strip clubs. Problem is they are not easy to track down. A few girls have turned me on to there mixes & have been very happy to talk about their music choices, but ya can't talk privately to all of them so ya see my dilemma.
Basically I'm here looking for anything & everything that any of you here would say really gets your attention when you here it. Could be sexy, adrenaline rush, whatever. Just tell me what ya like most & why. Hopefully this will connect me with some new stuff to wrap my mind & speakers around.
Thanx in advance!

Are newbies unwelcome here? I think I just saw a tumble weed roll by. :D
Re: New poster looking for guidance...
Er...Fridays (and weekends) are usually pretty slow around here.
Dig around in the Music Mix section, though. That should at least give you a start.
Welcome to SW, by the way.
Re: New poster looking for guidance...
Yeah, I was working tonight, tried looking at SW for a bit, but it was way too busy to post much meaningful, sorry--very bad idea in general at work, but especially tonight.
Now I'm pretty beat, but trust me, there's a lot of cool shit here for you. Best of all, we have a bunch of excellent and (gadzooks!) actually literate DJs here, many of whom are into some serious shit. When I first joined there was only one here, so it's very cool to see.
You will see that certain people excell in their knowledge of certain genres, and if you like that stuff, you should check out their posts and threads.
Blade and Mr.C always have great new rock and industrial recommendations, if you are into that, it's one of my favorite genres, and they know their shit.
Isolabella and 25kristin have some great posts about techno.
There's a big thread about hip-hop & R&B in which Moneywise has been very informative.
Then there are the knowledgeable dancers, and there are a lot of them here--as a DJ, its almost frustrating because you know these women would be so cool to work with. I have gotten some of my best stuff from them.
Maybe best of all, the several dancer DJs here, Paige DWinter, Juliette_deSade, Veronika, and more...
Now I feel like a complete and total asshole, for leaving out the names of so many other members who have so many cool suggestions, but I am wiped out from a great night, and can barely remember my own name.
