Breast tenderness -does it always mean pregnancy?
I've been having it for the last week and a half. I am hoping to God I am not pregnant. I started a pack of pills about 3 days later than I usually do and I missed one of the first pills (doubled up later though). My breasts started feeling tender with 2-3 days after I missed the pill. They feel the way they do a week before I get my period.
Is there any other reason for boobs to hurt? At first it felt like just the nipple, and it looked like the nipple had these pin-prick yellow dots beneath the surface? I don't know if that's related to the breast pain though. What else could breast pain indicate?
Also, my next period is SUPPOSED to be 12 days away. Is it possible to get a preganancy test this early?

Maybe your body still thinks its gonna get a period so it acts accordingly. Ive had breast tenderness (even before the ba) going back to back on pills before.
Um, those dots are glands. I would do a pregnancy test if you are still worried.
Dont be scared but I found this link about nipples:

Re: Breast tenderness -does it always mean pregnancy?
your body is probably confused about the gap with the pills. you may get a surprise period in the next couple of days.
give it a week then get an early preg test.
Re: Breast tenderness -does it always mean pregnancy?
If you missed some pills and then doubled up, its possible that you've thrown the hormonal balance off (despite what people think, doubling up on pills is not effective...).
If your boobs keep getting more and more sore...you may want to go to the doc and have a quantitative blood test done for pregnancy. Blood tests show pregnancy faster than urine tests. In fact, blood tests are foulproof...where urine tests are not.
Re: Breast tenderness -does it always mean pregnancy?
Hopefully I can get a bloood test done ASAP, otherwise I will have to wait 8 more days until I can take a pregnancy test. This is not fun. I'll never start a pill pack too later ever again.
I read on a medical/pregnancy website last night that breast pain related to pregnancy does not typically start until AFTER your first missed period. So that is all the faith I have to go on that I am not pregnant. :-\
Re: Breast tenderness -does it always mean pregnancy?
Well, hate to be the bearer of bad news, but my breast tenderness started WAAAAAY before I ever missed a period...but, you know...it's hard because every person is different.
Do you have any other preg symptoms? Extreme tiredness? Achy back? A feeling of "fullness" in the uterus?
MOST people get several symptoms of pregnancy besides the sore breasts (I had the sore breasts and then an achy back...the tiredness, for me, didn't come until the 2nd month of pregnancy).
Re: Breast tenderness -does it always mean pregnancy?
I don't feel like I have any other symptoms. Unfortunately I'm a psychosomatic person, so I'll probably be feeling uterus fullness before the end of the night -blah. Venus, how soon after conception say, did you feel the breats tenderness? For me, it would have been like 2 days after conception I got the soreness. I am hoping that is too soon.
Re: Breast tenderness -does it always mean pregnancy?
It took a couple of weeks. I'd say one day after conception is a little early to feel any symptoms only because the body can make the HCG hormone only so fast. At a couple days past, there wouldn't be that much of the hormone in your system.
But, if you have your dates wrong...or you are more preggers than you realize (if you are in fact preggers) then that would explain it.
However, in MOST cases, the first signs on pregnancy don't show until AT LEAST a couple weeks after conception.
But, if its something you are concerned about...get the blood test.
