14% approval for republicans running congress
"Forty-seven percent of respondents said they were less in favor of keeping Republicans in control of Congress, compared to 14 percent who were more in favor of maintaining the current congressional makeup, according to the poll."
That's really pathetic on the republicans' part that only 14% of people want to keep republicans running the congress. i mean, my dog could probably get 15%.
Re: 14% approval for republicans running congress
fabulous---------- Propaganda works.............. Where was the poll taken, What were the questions asked, A complete or specific demographic, what time of day.
Don't believe polls. The manipulation is incredible. We live in the information age but, for Pete's sake question the information.
Re: 14% approval for republicans running congress
All I gotta say is AWESOME! I really hope we keep the 47% interested in not seeking republicans as the ones to run congress. We need change..
Re: 14% approval for republicans running congress
Do you have link to the poll? The numbers I have been hearing from various news sources has been around 30% approval-which is still pretty low considering that would mean somewhere around 70% disapprove..... better late than never though ;)
edit: opps that 30% is for Prez approval, not Congress. I just heard on the late news that Congress approval was 16%
Re: 14% approval for republicans running congress
There is only one poll that matters.

Re: 14% approval for republicans running congress
Eh...people say they're dissatisfied with Congress as a whole, but are generally satisfied with their own representatives and senators--this is why so many seats are not in contention every year and only a handful ever really come into play.
That said, I've been doing some math, and with the anti-incumbent feeling in the nation, both parties will lose some seats they now hold, but the DNC will pick up more than they lose--perhaps as many as seven in the Senate and 18-20 in the house, both of which would give them control of Congress.
Of course, we'll have to wait and see what happens in a couple weeks, but it's sure to be an exciting mid-term election.
Re: 14% approval for republicans running congress
Barron's, using a method I find a bit dubious, is saying the republicans will loose a couple seats - but still remain in control of the Congress.
(sigh)
More of the same shit for two more years.
Sure, I am going to vote - hell ya! But ya know...
