Once again... Series time for the Cards...
We ROCK!
Hopefully this time we won't get swept like we did against Boston, but to no-ones great surprise (Except myself and the entire city of St. Louis after the Cardinals total collapse at the end of the regular season) we are AGAIN in the series. We go again and againandagainandagain and we don't even have Steinbrenner's bankroll. We ROCK!
I don't mind losing, but goddamnit if they get swept like last time i shall curse loudly and make a pouty face (Cuz i'm a thug like that).
Good luck to Jenna78 and the rest of the local girls (If there are even any on SW). Rake in much cash over the next week!

hahah Last night I was at the melting pot with yekhefah and her boy and when the cards won, we could hear it all the way down the street. It's crazy. But man was it a good game.

It's 1968 all over again - except no Bob Gibson, no Denny McLain (aka Paper Tiger), no Mickey Lolich.
Re: Once again... Series time for the Cards...
Ummm.....not what this Mets fan wanted to read this morning. :(
Re: Once again... Series time for the Cards...
Sorry, Dylan. If it's any condolance, i'd have rooted for the mets through the series had they won.

Hey, i don't care. It's no big deal to lose to the world series champs. Honestly, after the house fell down at the end of the regular season (They were, what, 8 games up and it fell to one) i don't really think the Cards deserve to win. Just tell no-one in STL that i said that, they'd lynch me. BUT, this is when it counts. They play well and win, we got another series under our belt, they don't, who cares... Next year we'll still be in first place all year long.

In the airport, on the way to detroit... everyone was heckling me/us namely me cause I make a target for myself for fighting back.
I was going through screening in st. louis and when the lady red my card:
<Lady> "So you're going to detroit, you know those planes have been delayed indefinatily"
<Mast> "Huh, what?"
<Lady> "Yea baby, until the end of the game, no outbound flights to detroit."
<Mast> "ohhhhh that's cute"
<Lady> "Well maybe I can do something for you since you seem like a nice enough person"
<Mast> "GO TIGERS."
<Security Guy> "Excuse me sir, you've been randomly selected to go through our 9 hour screening process"
<Mast> "ONLY IF YOU PROMISE A CAVITY SEARCH. I DEMAND THE UTMOST OF SAFETY FOR MY DETROIT TIGER FANS!"
<Security Guy> "It ain't gonna be about what we're lookin for, it's about what we're putting on you."
<Lady> "You know why it's raining in detroit? That's the tears of what's coming"
Lol.
THEN THE PILOT.
"This flight may or may not make it to detroit...."
friggin HILARIOUS.
but it was a good time.
Oh when we landed he was like
"I'd like to be the first to Welcome you to the Dallas Ft. Worth airport.... Just kidding, welcome to the world series loser's town."
wow.

I was in downtown St. Louis working last night. It was unbelievable. I've never seen a whole city celebrating last night! People were literally dancing in the streets, total strangers were jumping into each others cars... mayhem. It was fun.
Re: Once again... Series time for the Cards...
I watched the game in the comfort of a Washington Park strip club, the stripper I was sitting with was going nuts the last few innings. Of course the multiple shots of jose may have had something to do with it too. Not total mayhem in the club but quite a good time.
