Pro sub / submissive training?
Does anyone here have any experience with this? I have an interview on Sunday with regards to starting out as a light submissive and any tips would be appreciated. I have a couple of RL friends who are sort of helpful but would like other imput too. I guess Im sort of curious as to what the variations in customers ight be for starters and just and general stuff which may be useful to know... Feel free to Pm me if you dont wish to post here :)
Re: Pro sub / submissive training?
Pro subbing is not very safe. Unlike pro Domming, the client is the one inflicting the pain and there is no way of certification of their experience in the subject. Honestly, I never see anyone, who was not already a very experienced lifestyle submissive, do this for very long. And even those... I only know one pro sub who lasted long, and who actually makes decent money off of it. There isnt as high of a demand for pro subs.... except for photo shoots. If you're going to work in a dungeon, request that their most experienced Domina(s) help you get used to the types of things you will be experiencing.... bondage w/ rope, bondage w/ straps, gags, floggers, canes, suction, electroplay, posture collars, etc....
Re: Pro sub / submissive training?
Thanks for your imput Paige (-:
There is some demand locally which is how I came to be contacted. I will be working in a dungeon and everything is monitered. My boyfriend is very experienced in all of the above so he will be / is helping me. Ive been assured that I will have help and support in the workplace too. Im not too concerned about the whole safety thing as yet as I will be the light sub although I can of course work my way up, but one step at a time for now... (-:
Re: Pro sub / submissive training?
Whew! Sounds groovy then. As for types of clients... expect mostly bondgae and perhaps flogging to be the most common. You might get some cane lovers.... and some electroplay lovers... but that is going to be the majority of it. Unless the dungeon gets a lot of voyeurs, who want to watch you with one of the local Dominas... oh, and maybe some roleplayers... Teacher/student (usually spanking and caning there), etc...
Re: Pro sub / submissive training?
I was a sub before I ever danced. It sucked. I had a black ass every day from spankings and the mistress of our " dungeon " expected me to clean up after her constantly.
If your going to be in that field I suggest being dom. More money.

Re: Pro sub / submissive training?
Thanks for the imput again Paige and MissQ. Im starting at the end of next week.
Im just sitting in on a couple of sessions at first. Ive done that before anyway, so it wont be totally new to me. They suggested I do both sub and dom training which sorta makes sense. (-:
Re: Pro sub / submissive training?

Re: Pro sub / submissive training?
i was never trained professionaly, just by a dominator i had met a party...trained me as a switch. definanly be VERY careful whom you work with, a good dominator pays attention to you..the goal of the dom should be YOUR pleasure, not theirs (thats what i've been taught anyway and i totaly agree with it, the doms pleasure comes from controling and knowing they can make you moan and beg). but sadly most people, guys namely, will think that the sub is merely an object for their sadistic pleasure...and try to do very demening things to you, definanly let them know your rules before hand and saftey words, etc. and if you ever feel uncomfortable or like its gone too far, stop the session and leave.
Re: Pro sub / submissive training?
Lol, I just came into this 'other work' section for the first time.
I was a pro dom for over 4 yrs. I started out wanting to be sub, but after a few short weeks, realized that guys come in and pay the dommes to know what they're doing. A guy coming in to pay to dom you prob has no clue how to spank right, tie you up right, etc. After a few weeks I was ready to quit. My boss said I should at least try being dom. Since I know what I wanted as a sub, just give it to the guys as a dom. Yep. All went uphill from there... :)
good luck!
Re: Pro sub / submissive training?
Thanks Katherine and Jetta (-:
An update.
The short version is that I went and saw a clairvoiant and had a wonderful reading except for one thing which came up as being very bad. That was this job. It might sound strange to some to make work decisions based on some things a total stranger said but the reading was spot on in so many areas of my life I decided not to do it. - I was meant to start about a month ago and things kept coming up (with the dungeon not me) so I couldnt start even though i was keen to at the time.
I wont say never, I would still like to do this but for the time being I shall just stick to being a sub in my personal life and doing lots of reading and stuff. I think there will be other opportunities.
