hmmm..well i got hired from this company...perhaps u cud look on the net. and in the phonebook, and call them? just do some research! goodluck! i heard u can make good money. i did get hired from this one company but i never ended up doing it....cuz they said there was no security at these things.. so i jus didnt feel comfortable. i guess u cud always hire yer OWN personal bouncer, but eh i didnt feel like doing it. i just stuck with the club. haha but yes, goodluck!
Private shows are so much riskier, especially if you aren't experienced in how to handle misbehaving (or potentially abusive) customers. I would not recommend private shows to non-dancers and newbies. Is there some reason why you want to avoid the clubs?
Kind of, I would love to strip, I just am more intrigued by the private shows because its, well, more private haha. They seem like they might be more fun, and may be a better way to make money. What do you think?
Honestly, private dancing should have some club experience. But, is there topless waitressing in your area? Lucrative and not the full show.
You might consider lingerie modeling shops to get your feet wet. That is basically a private show but in a more secure location than the customer's home or hotel room.
Also consider doing webcam work. There are gobs of sites out there that can provide traffic to your cam. You don't make as much immeadeatly with webcam, but it is safe and gives you a good idea about what the customers may want in a live private show.
I've never done one on one shows as it just creeps me out. I prefer the "party girl" style shows.
^ yeah, are you looking at just doing one-on-one private shows, or bachelor party type private shows? either way, i personally don't think it's safe at all to just jump right on in without any experience in handling drunk men and without learning what your boundries are and how to enforce them.
even if you do just 6 months in a club to at least gain some experience, then try joining an agency or something...
i started with private shows from the begining the biggest mistake you can probably make is not going with a good company, so many companies will state "no extras" and then you see a girl doing a party with you going off to do whatever on the side. You need to state your limits clearly and as often as needed. You need to let the guys know at a party what your limits are, and as long as you have fun they usually have fun. I took my b/f / hubby with me as my security, never had a problem, potential for some problems yes, but you learn how to handle things, you can also ask the other girls working for a particular company what they think
I do private parties exclusively, but I don't recommend it for someone with no experience either. First of all is the safety issue that everyone else has mentioned. Secondly, guys can tell if you are a "Pro" or brand new. That could greatly effect your tips.
I started in SCs in Dallas. I now have my own agency and a husband with great marketing skills. Thanks to him, we have great working relationships with several companies that feed each other in the bussiness. One is a limo company that has party busses. They specialize in bachelor parties and I provide the on-board entertainment. The limo company pays me and my girls a minimum plus we keep all tips. They even pay my husband to go along as the "wingman" (secutiry).
I have a guaranteed minimum just to show up. The limo company advertizes on the radio so I get indirect ads for free, becuase they have a link from thier website directly to mine.
My husband always has business cards to hand out when ever we go out to bars, clubs or where ever. It's amazing how many parties we've gotten just from meeting someone in a club and handing them a card..
There are so many ways to generate business but not enough time to go to far into it.
Bottom line, Get some experience in a club for a while before you venture out to the private party area. You'll be glad for the experience you get.
Thanks guys, I have been doing the club scene for a couple weeks now and so far it is ok, I'm still fairly interested in doing private parties though. I've picked up on being a stripper no problem, and i dont want to do one on one, more of bachelor parties.
