Is there a such thing as a busy season?
I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this, so feel free to move if needed.
I'm wondering if there is a better time of the year to get hired at a club. For cocktailing, dancing, whatever. I'm sure it varies from city to city, but give me your input if possible.
Even if it's vague, like winter is better/worse than summer, I would appreciate it.
Re: Is there a such thing as a busy season?
In australia, it's summer. In america, it's winter. Both are in december. Huh.
Re: Is there a such thing as a busy season?
it depends....I would assume Chicago is like Philly... basically after labor day and before memorial day, with mild slowdowns in January and April.
Re: Is there a such thing as a busy season?
I found this to be true for both being a Pro Dom and being a Dancer:
Slow summer, pick up through fall, busiest Nov/dec, slow down jan, mediocre/normal till summer when it starts all over again.
IMO...

Spring and Summer generally ;D Winter is the time to avoid here (Australia)
Re: Is there a such thing as a busy season?
Yea honestly I think its more about the holidays then actual seasons because Australia vs. America its total opposit.
Re: Is there a such thing as a busy season?
In Vegas it's around Christmas time. When all the conventions start.
Re: Is there a such thing as a busy season?
QQ for the Aussie girls: Is more busy BEFORE or AFTER the Xmas/New Year period? Thanks!
Re: Is there a such thing as a busy season?
It's busy BEFORE the Xmas season and leading up to it. Generally alot of business slows down in January because of Xmas. It picks back up around Easter for a short while before falling off again because of winter (chilly and crappy weather).
HOWEVER it is the opposite for a place like Darwin: The DRY season which is usually during the winter is their best time compared to the Wet season.

I think the best time in Philly is Bachelor Party season, like the month of May. It rocked for me last year.
