How to approach a customer
What are the best things to say when you first approach a custy?
More like, what are the best things to say to get the custy to really want your attention for the night?
I never use wanna dance or do you want some company, because we all know those are tired & over used phrases.
Also besides saying the right thing what type of body language can draw a customer to you?
I hope this question helps everyone out XOXO! *ReDhOtThONeY* :-*
Re: How to approach a customer
I am almost sure there are some other threads about this that can help you out too, but what I usually do is walk up to the custy smiling, meaning I make some sort of eye contact before I actually get to him.
Then I make sure I am either sitting or squatting to his level, so that it is allready a bit intimate. I put my hand on some part of him, his hand or shoulder or knee, and ask him if he's having a good time, ask him if he likes the club...I try and ask things that have positive answers (keep the 'yes' thought going).
After a few lines I'll compliment something on/about him and THEN say "Are you ready to have some fun?" It sounds like alot, but in reality it takes all less than the time of one song.
Also, after going through all this I get a good idea of what kind of personality he is, so I can adjust to what I think he'd like.....that's something I picked up on SW actually and seems to be working VERY well for me.
Re: How to approach a customer
Thanks for the advice Exotic Engineer, I will try to get down on their level instead of towering over them in those dang shoes! I also like that the process doesn't take a really long time.
Re: How to approach a customer
Also, always approach a customer from the front and never from behind. By doing this, you do not appear to be a threat whereas if you approach from behind you often will take your customer off-guard and put him in a defensive mood which will kill any rapport you are working on building for the first minute or two of conversation.
Re: How to approach a customer
Those are things that I didn't think of Thanks Dancer Wealth!
Re: How to approach a customer
Dancer wealth has a really good advice! However, if you're reading this..
This is a problem at my club. Guys kinda go up to the bar and order a beer and try to completely block out the dancers. I feel bad about approaching them like that because like you said, it's sort of an attack.
I usually try to go next to them, order something of the bar, make eye contact and then talk, but by that time there's already another stripper almost dry-humping him from behind!
What's a girl to do?
Re: How to approach a customer
If they are going to that much of an effort to NOT be hustled, don't hustle them.
Pick the guy that is your "type" to sell to. Pick the one you think will spend the most. Touch his shoulder gently, say "Excuse me" and stand next to him, then signal the bartender you want to order something. Order your drink. Flirt with the bartender, or at least make fun conversation, while talking loudly enough to be overheard - you're coming across as flirty, fun, and adorable. Then say something along the lines of "Whoo, thanks for getting that for me. Think I'm gonna sit down here for a minute and get off the feet!" Then kick back and sit prettily, almost ignoring the guy beside you. Look around the club, make eye contact/smile when you feel him watching you. See if he will break the ice. If he talks to you, you're golden. If he doesn't but he seems like he wants to, make small talk about the girl on stage. If he perks up and starts chatting you up, close close close the sale!
Re: How to approach a customer
Like a week ago I tested this method...
I sat in a chair in the center of the club (sexily and mysteriously) and just sat there and watched the main stage dancer. Guys always noticed me when passing by, and tables of guys even seemed kinda irked that I was being so passive and not trying to hustle them. They were OBVIOULSY intrigued by me and within 10 mins or so they were talking within themselves about me and asking me to sit with them. Got plenty of dances.
Now bear in mind I did this cuz I was working in a club that doesn't allow hustling.
But I tried it a couple of nights and got the same reaction from dudes. What do you ladies think? haha
Re: How to approach a customer
whoa whoa whoa... what the hell kinda club doesn't ALLOW hustling?! and how can they tell if you are hustling? where are you that this is like that? that's SO strange.
Re: How to approach a customer
well just assume they DO want a dance, right? (thats what i read on here before!)
and smile, make eye contact before u sit down, they say hello and maybe ask them if u cud join them or somethin. make small talk, talk bout positive things, not like "man tonight sucks!" always say your having a good time, even if you're not haha. (at least thats what i do, i mean im sure he goes in there for fun!) and then in a bit, u cud say, "So ready for that dance?" or something. im sure theres better ways to say it.
however, what i do, i just walk around, head up, very confidently and sexy, looking busy(even if im jsut walking around), make sure i have alot of dollar bills on my garter(makes me stand out from the girls who dont), and guys just approach me. sometimes 3-4-5 of em will me for a dance, and some guys i have to tell them to "Wait, i have someone else in line". but later u can always find those guys who wanted a dance from you, and say that u have time now. u know, act important. like everyone wnats a peice of u.
well thats just what i do and it seems to work for me :)
but goodluck!
