catwalk work suggestions...
i've only worked at one club in the past that allowed floor work. i was only there for a couple months, so i didn't really do too much of it. plus, the girls were kind of nasty and i didn't feel like rolling all over that floor. i stuck to the pole most of the time. the club i'm at now (upscale) does not have a poll and does not allow floor work .... which leads to not having a hell of a lot to do on stage. we -are- allowed to lay/crawl/pose etc on the catwalk. only a couple girls do any of this, but the ones who do seem to make a lot more tips and sell more dances. i do a little crawling here and there, but i don't really know any other sexy moves for the catwalk. most of my other clubs wre based more on pole tricks and didnt have a large enough catwalk to do much on other than walk. the one at the club i'm at now is a little more than twice my body width, so it's a good size for "tricks". i've watched the girls who do moves on the catwalk, but my problem is this: since only a couple of the girls do it, and they do the same 2 or 3 moves, it would be really obvious that i was "copying" them if i all of the sudden started doing the same things. i'd rather have my own moves or pick them up outside my current club. are any of the dancer videos good for this sort of thing? i know most of them focus on pole work, and since i #1 am already good on the pole and #2 don't have one right now, i don't want to waste my money. i'm open to suggestions/ideas, but i'm a very visual person. we can do anything that looks classy/sexy. they aren't TOO restrictive about it. for instance, you can spread your legs for a second as long as it's part of a move. you just can't hump the catwalk or anything... which is fine since i'm not keen on that kind of dancing anyway.
so... help? :noidea:
Re: catwalk work suggestions...
the best suggestion i can give is to lay on your back, arch your back and roll your head all the way back and kinda move back and forth, and you can really play with this move, do things with your legs, etc.
i searched floorwork videos on here and on google. it appears the only "good" choice is Fawnia's video but on here the ladies who bought it said it was "homemade and not the greatest." I think the videos would be a waste, honestly, but maybe if you watch other girls long enough you will find something that works for you. maybe watch fawnia's preview and it might give you something (it wouldnt load on my comp). good luck!
Re: catwalk work suggestions...
i heard the S factor book wasnt bad for it, but i don't know if i want the whole book or not. heh
Re: catwalk work suggestions...
you know, I found a copy of the S-Factor at my public library. :detective
Re: catwalk work suggestions...
Maybe try going to some other clubs as a customer and watch the girls in another club and copy their moves so you won't be copying the girls in your own club.
Re: catwalk work suggestions...
The club I am at now doesn't have a pole....so we do lots of floor work. I'm not crazy about making out with the floor either so I try different things.....
One knee down, and one knee bent so you're basically kneeling then turn your torso so you're looking over the knee that is up. Bend slightly forward and you can stretch out your leg, lean back, etc.... I do lots sitting on my knees, legs open, legs closed, leaning one way, leaning the other, laying back on one arm with one leg on the floor, bent for stability then stretching my other leg up into the air....
When I started this club and saw they had no pole, I spent a few days in front of my full length mirror finding poses that worked with my body and then I would elaborate on each of them. It takes time, but I you finally figure it out. I don't even miss my pole anymore.............. Well....a lil. :)
Re: catwalk work suggestions...
to clarigy (in case it didn't come across correctly) we are not allowed to do floor work, only catwalk work. the only time we can be on our knees, sitting, or laying is on the catwalk.
