Re: Stripperwear: The Trends
I've seen a lot of girls who have turned the leg warmer into a half bell-bottom now.

Re: Stripperwear: The Trends
I worked in New Orleans about two weeks ago and noticed that a lot of girls were wearing leg warmers with matching bikinis. Some looked kinda cute. Don't know how leg warmers would affect my pole work though:-\

Re: Stripperwear: The Trends
I so totally remember the bustier thing!! I could never get mine off, so I bought one of those bustiers that is like a waist cincher and you wear a bikini top with it, and then I only took it off in VIP! They have a bazillion little hooks!
Do you also remember 2005 was the year of school-girl style skirts and knee socks, but like, not just in the plaid? In all different prints and fabrics? Aaaa!! I still like those lol.

We use to wear corsets and bustiers back in 91-93 too, and the Scrunchy Butt Bottoms I was wearing back in 92 and 93 too! You can make any pair of bottoms "scrunchy butt" with a simple strip of elastic, they are pretty simple to do.
It's funny how the trends fade and then come back, then fade and come back...

Re: Stripperwear: The Trends
Last time I worked I noticed a few girls wearing ribbons in a criss-cross pattern on their legs. Some just went to ankle legnth, others went thigh high.

Re: Stripperwear: The Trends
I hate when girls don't take their dresses off onstage i mean who wants to see a girl with a dress hanging around her waist onstage? they should just wear a cut off corset if they want to hide their belly (or whatever they are hiding) or a dress hanging around their waste could mean pure drunkeness (too drunk to take your clothes off right)

Yes, I think legwarmers look cute on some girls..but now bellbottoms :( There is a girl at my club who wears them, I just try to hide the disappointment on her face.

And whats up with the clear platform shoes? Its like part of the 'stripper uniform' but really, are they necessary? I bought a pair and I can barely dance in them. I'm such an old school dancer I guess. I have the NYC "gown club rules" beaten into my head. Long dresses, clothes toe, no platform shoes. I tried this look in Vegas recently and, believe it or not, so many girls were looking at me. Some were like what is she wearing and some were like wow, you look great! Even better, I stood out as classy, which probably is why I got the white collar guys that buy hours and not dances. Now I know why NYC has these rules. If you dress cheap, you may attract cheap. I love the bustier look, but I dont think its practical for our business. And the leg warmers, doesn't make sense to me unless you're trying to be artistic or something like that. But hey, whatever works for us right?

I am sooooo glad that someone out there is just like me with the Gowns ect.... rules! I thought I was the only one anymore. I really don't like going to the clubs and seeing bikini after bikini. I can go to a beach if I wanna see that. I totally dig the classy elegant look.
I really miss the long flowing robes too. They looked so great on me on stage.:( I had to start having them made when I was in Guam because I couldn't find them anywhere.

Re: Stripperwear: The Trends
I have one scrunchy butt outfit which I actually wore tonight. Most nights I wear something with a garter belt so I can wear stockings.
Those rompers are going around my club and I don't think they look good on anyone with smaller than C cups, but it's always the smaller girls wearing them.
I'm tired of legwarmers. Not because I don't like them, but because a girl I dislike always wears them.
Girls occasionally wear corsets, but I don't think it's a big trend yet. Big plastic earrings seem to be going around.
Another thing I've always disliked is garters around your strapless shoes/ankles to keep them on. Why not just buy shoes with straps? Then you don't look tacky.
Short fingerless gloves have been showing up occasionally. I wear them, and one of the waitresses does too. I haven't seen anyone else wear them though. Maybe I can start a trend.

Re: Stripperwear: The Trends
I so wanna buy a romper. No one at my club wears them and I think they are hot

Re: Stripperwear: The Trends
I love rompers, but they never look good on me :( I need to show my stomach or I look like I have no waist.

Re: Stripperwear: The Trends
those cork wedge shoes are a big hit at my club.

See the weird thing about me, I never show my tummy at work. I have to have made a decent amount of money before I get down to only a thong :-\

Re: Stripperwear: The Trends
That's alright, if I'm not getting tipped I won't take my top off.

Re: Stripperwear: The Trends
Ok, so I'm going back to dance tomorrow night...haven't danced for awhile...what's the hottest stripper trend going right now?

I'm not into throwing a bra and booty shorts together and calling it a costume, but I'm not into gowns either. I'm really short and they don't look good on me. If there were rules that we had to wear them I'd have to find a new club. The closest I come to a gown is wearing short dresses and matching two-piece outfits. I think many things can be classy, not just gowns.

Re: Stripperwear: The Trends
Lately some girls at my club have been wearing fishnet pantyhose that cover the butt but end at the calf. With a tback underneath. Looks good on one, looks bad on the other. Both look trashy though, imho.
Also several girls are wearing belly-dancer style wraps w/ jingly sequins on the as skirts.

Re: Stripperwear: The Trends
I've noticed trends here seem to go from club to club/ One club I worked in ankle socks were a big thing, another slingshot bikinis. I haven't noticed a trend yet in the place I'm working now.

I'd like to see a pic of the fishnet pantyhose that cover the butt and cut off at the calf! Do they buy them like that or make them like that? What else do they wear with it? Thanks :)

Re: Stripperwear: The Trends
Everyone wears leg warmers at my new club...I mean EVERYONE...but maybe thats just because the owner keeps the heat so damn low :(.

i looked and looked but i couldn't get a good pic of it. Im not sure where the outfits came from, but they resemble a fishnet bodysuit with the top and bottom cut off. Its worn with a tback and matching tiny top.
