i feel like i read about a club where you could go upstairs for topless/nude and downstairs for the other... does this ring a bell for anyone?
^^ ooh, maybe, wheres that?
*doh*
yep Molly Browns has a nude part, and then a topless part... Theres a club near cleve... called The Diamond Lodge.. they have nude and topless sections....
Well, they closed the upstairs part of Molly since nudity became 'optional' in Daytona--but I think that the downstairs club isn't nude at all anymore.
Basically the nude 'sister' clubs that Mollys and the Pink Pony had were in response to extreme pressure by law enforcement. LE was trying to shut down Lollipops, a huge new club opening in Daytona about 7 years ago--which totally violated Daytona's bold and extremely aggressive new PR campaign image as a 'Family-Oriented' tourist destination.
But the draconian and frequent enforcement of atavistic apparel laws put the hurt far more on the other clubs than it did Lollipops. Lollipops merely bailed out the arrested dancers and got charges dropped with the huge profits they were taking in, and continued to allow g-strings, etc. Combined with Lollipops' sudden seizure of a massive majority of the stripclub clientele, this was killing the other clubs.
Once the two nude 'sister' clubs opened, there was no point in ticketing or arresting girls for having any part of their ass showing, anymore.
Molly Browns II (upstairs) stayed open after the LE backed off as the draw of nudity was somewhat profitable, I imagine. Alas, no more after hours nights in MB II, lol...
Personally, having worked in both nude and topless bars, I don't see the big deal about nudity, but others feel differently, I know. I do find it ironic that the two nude clubs I have worked in were both far cleaner than the other clubs. Including the one I'm in now, thank god--it's a much, much better club for being strict.
Many clubs in Providence have both Nude and Topless areas.
Specifically I know that Club Fantasies has topless on the first floor, and nude on the second floor. Cadilac Lounge also has an all nude section open during specific shifts. I think other clubs in Providence are set up in a similar fashion with a topless and all nude section.
Bustop in Boulder. But side-by-side. Topless has alcohol, and LD's have less contact. Open std. Colorado hours for establishments with liquor license -- closing at 1:30 am or 11:30 pm Sunday. Nude ("Platinum") side has higher cover, open 7pm until 4am except Sundays. LD's have somewhat more contact. No liquor.
^you would think the nude would be less contact and the topless more contact! or at least, that's what i was thinking.
Oh, it's a tiny bit complicated. On the topless side, dances are basically "table" air dances for $20 each. But most dancers push it, and the more experienced know how to milk the most mileage possible out of these "air" dances. See my recent TR. But the VIP is on the nude side. Dances there are $40 and are explicitly contact dances. Despite being on the nude side and allowing nudity during the dance, the dancer must keep her G-string on during any contact. Gynecological examinations must be conducted at a distance. Often customers will meet dancers on the nude side for the extra mileage despite the extra cost. Still, "mileage" is all relative. Dancers must keep moving, holding any single pose no more than 3 seconds! All this is merely an artifact of the liquor and zoning laws of the State of Colorado and each city, no to mention how each club chooses to interpret, enforce, or stretch those laws.
Personally, I prefer the topless side, with an occasional visit to the VIP with a favorite dancer when the opportunity presents itself.
Agreed with Smokeless to an extent. In the Denver clubs, contact issues are a matter of liquor licensing. If rule infractions concerning contact are in a non-liquor part of the establishment (or a non-liquor establishment, period), then despite other legal problems, there's still no impact on the liquor license - therefore, a bust is more survivable. At least, that's the theory.
I seem to remember that Kappa Kabana in Kappa, Illinois, was nude and topless.
SoCo outside of Davenport, Iowa, was nude with contact on stage, topless with contact LD's.
The joys of the I-80 based drive through the cornfield belt.
I was in New Haven, CT last week, and they had two clubs in the same building. Stagedoor Johnny's was topless with alcohol, 21+ to get in, and Backstage Johnny's was full nude, no beverages, and 18+. The girls had to work both sides, but all the girls did their lapdances on the nude side, as it was the only part of the club you were allowed to get them in.
I liked it ok, although I did almost all of my shows on the nude side. I'm partial to working topless, but I do nude shows if it's called for.
