Re: Best at-home waxing kit?
I hate home waxing, it just takes too long. I'd see a professional ;)
Re: Best at-home waxing kit?
Spend the money and go get it done professionally. It's worth the money. I've never been able to find a at home waxing kit that worked well on me.
Re: Best at-home waxing kit?
Yeah, I tested this Veet "cream" stuff that you put on and then 5 minutes later, swipe it with this plastic sheet and it sort of "shaves" it- I would NOT recommend it at all, because it just looks like you haven't shaved in 3 days (stubble city!)...I think I'll go see a professional! Thanks guys :D
Re: Best at-home waxing kit?
I tried poetic waxing...what a nightmare. Then I got wax from sally beauty supply (it's got a bee on it...can't remember the brand).
I made a huge mess and it's very difficult to pull your own hair out. You want to do it fast, but you just can't because you're doing it on yourself. It jsut prolongs the agony.
Re: Best at-home waxing kit?
Hm, so I just found out from another post on this site that you are *not* supposed to shave against the grain down there...(oh wow, I feel so retarded :P)...Oh the lessons learned in this place!
Re: Best at-home waxing kit?
I use Body shop sugaring, can be messy the first time but soon you learn how to do it, quick and easy.. wouldnt pay for a wax again!
Otherwise Veet isnt too bad at all
Re: Best at-home waxing kit?
GiGi is the best. You can also get a dvd to show you how to use it. Not like it is hard to use anyway, it is also what professional use when they do waxing. Plus to me it is so convient, and they have everything you will need. They have stuff for senstive skin to normal skin.

I found a site that sell it ^ You can get it at the beauty supply store. I got minds from Sallys.
Re: Best at-home waxing kit?
I think Veet totally sucks. And I do shave against the grain... I'm of Portuguese descent and shaving with the grain just ain't gonna do anything for me.
Re: Best at-home waxing kit?
I agree. I have really thick dark hair (I'm asian) and shaving against the grain just gives me ingrowns. And I can't wax myself because waxing the sensitive areas are just too hard (and they hurt!) and you can damage the goods if you're not careful.
I'd get bikini and underarm from professional because the skin there is thin and you don't want to damage the capillaries and have those icky red bruises. But you can wax your legs by yourself.
As for me, its worth it to have a professional just take it all off!
Re: Best at-home waxing kit?
I use veet mini cold wax strips and have never had a problem, any strays i miss i just epilate away :)
