selling in an air-dance gown club
hi, i know i touched on this in a previous thread but i will be starting work in an air dance gown club tomorrow and having spent the past two weeks reading hustle hut and currently awaiting my DW HSC, i am curious to know if anyone has any bright ideas on making money in this type of club since it seems to be so different and so much easier to make money in america...
ive worked at both spearmint rhino and stringfellows which are both air dance clubs and SR is a gown club, strings doesnt mind what you wear, and i found girls made their money on "sit downs" (money for talk +free dances).
if the general consensus is that in air dance gown clubs (ADGC's) you will be more likely to make your money selling time for money rather than dances for money, how do you go from "hi, how are you" to you need to pay me for my time? i have always had a problem asking people for money, at least with dances, its expected youll get paid, but how do you ask for money for conversation? whats a good way of saying it cos that always stumped me so i never went for it...
Re: selling in an air-dance gown club
i work in an air-dance, gown club in melbourne australia and i definately disagree that u r not selling dances - guys still want to see naked ladies. is it full-nude?
my club is full nude and we sell heaps of private dances and table dances there. sure there is the odd customer who wants to pay u just for a chat but hey they are men and they come to a SC to see tits and arse.
i would never sit down and tell a guy he had to pay me for my time, i would not feel comfortable doing that. if they want to chat to me past the couple of minutes im trying to hustle them, then they will work it out because no dancers will hang around for long without getting paid for it. so they can either buy a dance or pay me to talk to them.
an important thing in a gown club to note is that because everyone is more covered up than in some clubs, u need to pick good outfits that will make u stand out from the crowd. like neon colours that the lights will reflect off, or white. i dont wear black at all. and if u do tables like we do at my club then use this time to show off what they will be getting if they do buy a private dance.
Re: selling in an air-dance gown club
My info is quite dated - 2000 - but I recall that at Stringellow's, most of the customers there were pretty well-trained. They knew they needed to pay the girls and offered it pretty freely. If I found one who needed a little nudging I'd say something like, "well it's been lovely chatting with you but I really need to go make some money" - and then they'd almost always hand over some cash to get me to stay. I would do this after building a nice rapport with them. Most often, guys would hand over 1-2 50s at a time...
I found that I got the most sit-downs with guys who'd been in the restaurant and recently finished their dinners.
When I wasn't having much luck getting someone to pay me for my time, I'd go to the bar area or downstairs to find some guys to sell a few dances to.
I found it MUCH harder to make the money at Rhino - lots more spectators to weed through at that club, and many more girls competing for the few guys who came to spend money.
