Re: Only hiring UK 6 US 4/2
I really dont know what is wrong the earth today everything is just going down hill i.e. people being petty over stupid things.
Stay at a size 10 you really dont need to be a dead skinny stripper just to get a job. Most men dont like skinny women they would rather have gals with curves or shaped like a coke bottle.
I wouldnt worry about it, its not worth it.
Anyway they are the ones that have missed out!!
Re: Only hiring UK 6 US 4/2
I'm going by your avatar....you are definiely curvy and sexy...andby everyday woman standards or by most strip club standards, you look great.
I guess the question is not whether you should lose weight or not. It's how badly do you want to work there? Because if you do, then yes, I guess you do need to lose weight.
Re: Only hiring UK 6 US 4/2
when will they realise that it is impossible for some girls to reach a size 6! even when i had full blown anorexia with nothing but ribs, collarbones and hip bones i was still only a uk size 8. some of us have bones and muscles you know.
my suggestion is that if you are sexy and healthy then don't lose weight just to fit in at a snooty club where you would be constantly judged anyway.
Re: Only hiring UK 6 US 4/2
I was about to say something similiar pinkpvc - not every girl is petite nor has the genetics to be "small" !!! I know whilst I am petite I have an athetic sort of body build. I've known girls who aren't "fat" by a long shot however have a similiar body build/type who are taller and thus larger than me.
I personally wouldn't work at such a club that doesn't encourage all types of women (up to a point, naturally) to work within its walls. Why? Talk to men and they will be the first to say that variety is the spice of life. ;)
Re: Only hiring UK 6 US 4/2
With those breasts, there is no doubt you will have a flurry of men knocking. Find a different club that accepts them. You WILL make money almost anywhere....
Re: Only hiring UK 6 US 4/2
Honey, you look fine in your avatar. If you really want to lose the weight, then do it, but not because a house mom told you that you were too big. Don't do it for anybody but yourself.
Re: Only hiring UK 6 US 4/2
Thats just fucking ridiculous. Im a Uk 6 always have been in my adult life and Ive always been under the impression when in England that being at least size or two bigger would be more desirable. I couldnt even get clothes in my size over there, I had to go to a childrens shop to buy swimwear!
I think you look great, you obviously have boobs - sorry but I dont think they'll ever be size 6! I think the house mum has her head up her arse to be honest!
Re: Only hiring UK 6 US 4/2
I don't think UK 10 is a size 8 over here. I think it's more like a 4, maaaaaybe a 6. If you're 5'5" that's plenty thin, IMO.
Re: Only hiring UK 6 US 4/2
I worked at Stringfellow's as a UK size 10, and there were plenty of other girls there that size or a little bigger. All in good shape and attractive of course.
I'm surprised to see any club has such a strict size limit. UK size 6 is TINY!!!
UK 10 = US 4. From experience.
I would just find another club. That club may have some issue with your breast size - in that case they'll never hire you no matter what your dress size is.
Re: Only hiring UK 6 US 4/2
That's crazy, UK 6 is tiny, I don't even know anyone who wears that size where is this house mum going to find a club full of size 6 girls? BTW which club was it?
Re: Only hiring UK 6 US 4/2
Oh yeah, and a UK6 is between US 2 and 0
Re: Only hiring UK 6 US 4/2
I'm getting two answers on the net. I checked about a dozen or so sites and I get either UK 10 = US 8 or UK 10 = US 6. Mebbe I'm looking in the wrong places? Either way.... wtf? Thats a good size for your height! Especially with them boobehs!
Re: Only hiring UK 6 US 4/2
I have worn UK clothing when I lived in London. I am anywhere from a 2 to a 6 depending on brand, mostly 4 in US sizes. I wore a 10 in UK.
Those conversion charts are crap.
Re: Only hiring UK 6 US 4/2
I'm 5'6" and I could quite easily get myself into a size 4...but, I look too skinny. And, in order to do that, I look "borderline" anorexic (I lose my color and my skin looks unhealthy).
I can't believe that they turned you away. I don't know why some places put dress sizes on dancers. It should go by overall body type. If you look good for your height and weight, you're good to go. My only question would have been..."So, if a dancer who is 4'11" came in and was a size 6, you would let her dance??" ;)
If you really want to work at that club...you could just tighten up your diet and be super strict with it...but, eh...long term, it'll probably wear you out. If your body is not meant to fit into a size 6, exactly, its just not going to. Maybe find another club that has equal earning potential and less hassle?
Re: Only hiring UK 6 US 4/2
Maybe because the sizes in the UK have changed to be more "woman friendly". A UK size 8 is now what used to be a 10, 10 is what used to be a 12 and so on. Im not sure when this happened, all I know is when I returned to England nothing fitted me anymore >:(
