Do family members know about your BA?
I always toyed with the idea, but after this second kid, I think the time has come, lol. I started at 34c before babies, but am now a 34b and if I lose any more weight, may be in the 34a area. Very depressing. I always thought, I know they're not huge, but they're perky and nice. I'm not going to fuck it up. Well, now they're saggy ( alot of loose skin) and will prob be getting a BA at the end of next year after we pay some things off.
My family is very old school and would seriously give me alot of shit for doing it. If anyone has hidden it, could you please tell me about it? I obviously wouldn't go very big so as to be able to hide it a little bit better. Also, if anyone can recommend some docs in MA or RI that would be great!
TIA

Re: Do family members know about your BA?
I never told my family about my BA, but I think they noticed anyway but didn't say anything to me about it. Just keep it quiet and see what they do and if they even notice. I mean, I didn't go around showing my family my naked breasts or anything so it was easy enough to hide it.

Re: Do family members know about your BA?
Are you kidding, I am milking the needing help while recoverying. My soon to be mother in law even sent me get well flowers.
A BA is a totally normal thing, no reason to hide it.

ya if it's something your family is uncomfy with, they probably won't mention it.
Mine are very noticible, b/c they're a very full D and I'm tiny!!!! But, just wear looser clothes, minimizing bras/none, talk about a "weight gain" and how "nothing fits anymore" sweaters are your friend, and start wearing padded bras around them now.

Sounds like some good tricks!!! I'm mostly gonna be worried in the summer. My parents have a pool and all, so they'll think it's weird when I don't go swimming anymore:-\

Re: Do family members know about your BA?
go swimming. keep a robe on (a little dress or w/ev), and only take it off when your in (you're still worried about you "weight gain;)) wear a suit like these:
I own the red one as well as the belted suit. The're both really nice. I like one pieces for family events, it's just more modest. If you don't wear 1pieces already, start wearing them now, b/c it starts a pattern.
here is a coverup I love!!!
I'm like the master at hiding my ba.... these things work! (espically if your family is conservative, )

Re: Do family members know about your BA?
oh, the thing to look for in a suit is one w/ details not on the bust. Like the neck detailing, flowers on the side, belt, or the back. that way, boobs aren't the highlight. A higher neck is a big help too.

Re: Do family members know about your BA?
wow, what great one pieces! *bookmarked*
I think that's an excellent idea of starting a pattern now. Maybe slip some silicone push up pads in as well so that the new you won't be shockingly different.

Re: Do family members know about your BA?
these are great to wear now... also if you you have another small busted woman in your family, next time you see her, slip her a pair, tell her you love them and wear them all the time!!! that way, she'll assume, and if they ask behind your back, she'll tell them about the bra thing....

Re: Do family members know about your BA?
I hid it from my mom only because I didnt want her to know how much money I had. I figured she would add things up this way: Big boobs = more money = stripping again. Yea I didnt want her to think that.
I wore alot of zip ups, sweaters, t shirts and loose fitting clothing. I also wore my BA bra forever in hopes of schmooshing them down. I wear sports bras alot with workout clothes when I see her so she wont ask questions.

Re: Do family members know about your BA?
My sister, mom, and dad know. My extended family does not. At the last get-together, one of my cousins asked me and I told her. But she is around my age and flat and I know she has wanted a BA in the past. None of the older relatives said a word to me about my bust, or noticed it that I know of. Start slowly wearing bras that are gradually bigger up until your surgery, and chances are no one will notice.

Re: Do family members know about your BA?
No, my family does NOT know about my BA. I got my boobs done a year and a half ago. My family is kinda strict and they do NOT know about dancing! I started dancing because I had major money problems...money problems that my parents were more or less aware of. Then I told them that I was waitressing at a bar/restaurant. So it would look suspicious for me to suddenly be able to finance a BA only 5 months later, since I had a lot of bills at the time and waitresses don't make THAT much money(at least not at the kind of place I led my parents to believe I was working at). Explaining how I had the money, is more of a reason for hiding my BA than the fact that I got a BA. But money issues aside, I don't think my dad would like the fact that I got surgery to make me more sexually appealing to all the young(and older?) men out there. Luckily, in the past I wore slightly padded bras and shirts that flattered the bustline...and I never got naked in front of my family members...so my family never really knew just HOW flat-chested I was. So that helps a bit, because the change wouldn't look as dramatic(at least with clothes on). I sometimes wear a sportsbra like TigersMilk said that she does. That definitely helps flatten me a little.
There is also a good trick for flattening yourself. First, you put on a tank top. Next, you put a sports bra(the kind that zippers up in front) ON TOP of the tank top. Add a moderately loose-fitting T-shirt on top. Ta-dah!...makes you near-flat chested(but not completely flat-chested...otherwise, your parents might think you're hiding something).
This past summer, I went through a little dilemma concerning my BA and my family. I had to go to a family member's wedding, and everyone was going to be wearing light sundresses. There was no way I coulda worn a hot sweater, or a casual T-shirt! I wrote about it on this site and spent some time worrying like crazy about it. Luckily, at last minute I found the perfect dress hiding in the back of my closet...ankle-length dress with a high neckline, and tight enough on the chest that it tended to compress my boobs. The last time I'd worn the dress was during high school graduation(5yrs ago), and I'd worn a strapless push-up bra to give me some oomph...so wearing this compressing dress bra-less made me appear similar to how I'd appeared pre-BA when I'd worn it with a push-up bra. Worked like a charm! :) Although quite a few people told me that I looked exceptionally good that day...hmmm I hope they didn't notice any chest growth? Either way, my dad didn't notice(I hope? he didn't say anything). Hope this helps!

Re: Do family members know about your BA?
My mom and brother would not be too cool if I ever get a BA but I don't see how I could hide it. Of course I'm a 34B and it would probably be obvious. I wear tank tops a lot. I say even if they don't want you to do it, it's ultimately your body. My mom wasn't too happy when I did my nose but she got over it.

Re: Do family members know about your BA?
I told them. My dad got mad (like I mean PISSED, temporary disowning pissed), then he got over it.
My brothers thought it was funny. :P

Re: Do family members know about your BA?
My family knows. My stepmom rolled her eyes and called me a moron (in a loving manner), my dad only commented when I was in pain afterwards with a parently "you did it to yourself, now deal with it". My brothers make fun of my new 'twins' lol. The rest of my family doesn't see me often, so I don't know if they know.

Re: Do family members know about your BA?
I don't get how someone wouldn't notice you suddenly have big bazoombas.... but then again, my family asks questions.. a lot.
-
Re: Do family members know about your BA?
I havent been home since I had them done last year, but no...I didnt tell my family(though hubbys family knows). Like others said..my family is very old fashioned and would NOT understand..even though my mother esp knows how self concious I have always been about my non-boobs. I usually visit in the winter when i do go home(@ every other yr) so its all big sweaters....plus i always wore a padded water bra before...so they prob wont notice that its now me and not padding.
If they did notice and asked I'd tell the truth though. I wont bring it up...because why start a topic that i KNOW will end in an argument and upset them(my father isnt well)...but if they ask...I dont feel I should have to lie about it. It's my body and was my decision. And I'm happy with it.

Re: Do family members know about your BA?
I never told any family member except my mother, but somehow I think they guessed LOL !!!

Re: Do family members know about your BA?
I don't plan on telling any of my family members when I get mine done. I know they will be pissed when they find out but oh well.

Melonie- they'd have to be blind and stupid!!!! Hehe.
Mine are a much more "common" 400cc, so it's easy to keep it on the dL....
but don't they ask you about them.... I can't imagine having your breasts.... about 7X the size of mine. I think I would love them, untill I realized I'd have to lug those babies around!!!

Re: Do family members know about your BA?
I never told anyone...but at lunch with bmy mom one day my son outed me!
"Hey that guy has stitches! My mom had stitches on her chest the other day (his sense of time was developing) and they were gross!"
So I get the look from mom, "stitches on your chest?"
Cat was outta the bag then so she dragged me to the girls room and made me show her! LOL!

Haha, my mum would totally do the same thing... she's probably ask to touch them, too. Like, wtf, fake booby *pokepoke*... not sexual, dur.

Re: Do family members know about your BA?
I'm a real on the fencer when it comes to whether I should get boobs or not. I want them. But there are lots of things I want but should have...
Other than my mom, one aunt and her two daughters (one of which is 17 and bigger than me and the other is 13 and bigger than me and her sister put together!!!), I wouldn't tell. They'd all notice as I barely fit into an A cup and I never wear a bra and always wear tank tops or super deep V necks... But I don't have the type of family who'd talk about it. My other aunt may ask me, and I'd say the truth. But it's nothing anyone would talk about. I'm the 'wild' child in the fam as I have a 1 in tattoo on my ankle and got my belly and tongue pierced... Whatever.

Re: Do family members know about your BA?
I was having lunch with my mother today and a woman with obvious augmented breasts walks in and my mom says "thank god you would never do something like that to yourself.....it's soo superficial and against everything we as women have fought for". I wanted to respond but decided not to. :-\
I think I'll reconsider not telling her. My consultation with my preferred doc is in feb so I think I'll wait till around then to tell her.
