Love Kitten Lingerie Thread Gone?
I cannot for the life of me find this thread! I got an e-mail from LKL and wanted to reply with a link to what we had to say about them. This is the e-mail I got:
Hi,
We have noticed that you have visisted our site at Love Kitten Lingerie
but have not joined the membership and we would love to know why.
If it is the $79.95 per month membership fee, then remember that this
is only $2.66 ( $1.99 USD ) per day which we all spend on a cup of
coffee don't we, and don't forget the free freight.
Even you you only buy for one month you are still way ahead in $$$. Do
the sums and you will see for yourself. Look at Danielle from New
Zealand on our front page, at www.lovekittenlingerie.com she saved over
$1000 on her first order.
Brooke, a Penthouse P:et of the Year in Australia just loves us because
of what she saves.
We would love to hear from you and if you reply we will give you free 2
pairs of Leg Avenue stay ups with your first order with us.
I am looking forwad to hearing from you soon
Regards
Cindy Jones

Re: Love Kitten Lingerie Thread Gone?
huh...that'd be pretty interesting if it got deleted since they're an advertiser.
Check with the Aussie girls-- GoldCoast, MermaidNZ, Darcy, and LillithMorrigan
I know some of them answered since the deal is pretty much only good for Aussie girls since dance gear is so expensive over there.

Re: Love Kitten Lingerie Thread Gone?
its gone... I did a search for Love Kitten Lingerie and it was not there!
I had replied to the thread too!

Re: Love Kitten Lingerie Thread Gone?
Interesting how both "success stories" were from Aussie/ New Zealand girls.... that's the only place it would be worth it!
-
Re: Love Kitten Lingerie Thread Gone?
the link at the top of the SW site also seems to have disappeared or is it just my computer?
-
Re: Love Kitten Lingerie Thread Gone?
both success stories may also be fabricated ;)
-
Re: Love Kitten Lingerie Thread Gone?
Both have been deleted because both are bashing. Neither spoke from experience and both were just saying "omg they're too expensive" or "omg they suck" - again from people who have never shopped from them. People can make up their own minds. I will NOT allow sponsor bashing and negativity to prevail. Should someone have an actual bad experience, let me know.

Re: Love Kitten Lingerie Thread Gone?
soo... does that mean that they are still a sponsor? or not? hehe I am really intrigued :D

Say what? Is there really someone out there who spends that much on coffee every single day? Such a person would deserve to be broke. That's one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard.

Re: Love Kitten Lingerie Thread Gone?
This will hopefully be my last post on the topic to explain the situation in plain honest English.
SW costs money and time. It is on the verge of costing more money and more time. I don't have boat loads of either...in fact at the end of the month, I have enough to cover bills, pay down my loans, eat out a few times, and maybe see a movie or do something else fun, but that's it. It's not SW that provides that for me either - it is my full time job that does so.
As our numbers grow, so does the amount of "staff" needed to care for and maintain the site. While we have more contributors, we also have more cattiness, more drama, more trolls, etc. Ask around and see what has killed off 80% of the other stripper forum sites in the past? Most have degenerated into drama, trolls, and general crap - so that nobody would use them. They killed themselves off. Again, I will not let that happen here.
To keep SW going, things must be guided back to our original aim - advice and support. While the moderators help out, they are members of the community who donate their time. I don't want to treat them like employees. That said, there are certain tasks, like building the site (programming), handling email (a task that I will watch over closely), promoting the site, handling large drama issues, etc. that I want employees (only one part-time and one contract at this point) to manage. I would be willing to let a mod handle some of them, but I don't think it would fit them. An outsider, with no social investment in the site could be trusted the most. In addition to that, I can expect to have deadlines met, make certain demands, etc that I can't of a volunteer and member of our site.
So I'm using all of my free time here. I'm also spending a good deal my own personal change. Where does more come from? For the last year and a half, we have been lucky enough to have our own personal supporter - TheOtherOwner and a handful of other donors. Without them we would not be here. TOO accounts for about 90% of the donations. While donations are appreciated and help - should we loose TOO or should he get busy in his own personal life, or should he get sick, etc - all of our eggs are in one basket. StripperWeb needs a financial base and I feel it is my responsibility to create one for it. That means something to help it stand on its own and support itself. If that does not happen in the next year (2 max) - I would expect to see us close our doors and fade into history.
There are those out there who would like to see that happen. Some of those trolls would have a good laugh, there are those who hold a grudge, there are those who would like to see us fall for their own personal financial and power gain, and then there is our genuine competition that would just like us to be out of their way. I know the holidays are stressful times and drama rises...still I am sad to see so many willingly play into the games of others.
Sponsorships have sold. Advertisers are interested. They generate enough income to support the site. But not if advertising with us hurts your business. I saw a movie yesterday with my parents. There was a Coke ad that I thought was ridiculous and insulting. Did I run into the lobby and say how wrong Coke is? Did I try to stop people from buying Cokes - warning them of how evil Coke is? Did I tell them to buy Pepsi instead? Did I try to sell them Pepsi instead? No - that would be irrational behavior. I sat in my seat and didn't purchase a Coke. Those that wanted to did so. Yet, here many think that making a scene or rallying a cause is acceptable behavior. Just like that would have gotten me thrown out of the theater, that will now get you thrown out of here.
Now, had I purchased a Coke and there was something in it, or it was spoiled or there was some real problem with the Coke. I would have asked to speak with a manager and filed a complaint with them. Same goes here. PM me should there be an actual problem (disagreeing on price is NOT a real problem – you just don’t buy). Despite what B has alluded to - I do not just take on any sponsor. Look at our advertising link on the front page. I have turned away several sponsors who have offered to purchase entire YEARS of advertising because I did not believe them to be in your best interest. If you have a genuine problem with a sponsor, I want to know about it. Patterns will become clear that way and I will see who takes care of our membership and who does not.
Is that clear enough? Let me make it REAL simple: Not supporting our sponsors, bashing them, and trying to push people to alternatives will kill StripperWeb literally. Think before you post.
As for are they currently our sponsor - they had purchased two months - that time has expired. I have not spoken with them yet if they wish to purchase additional months, but after their treatment - I'd be surprized if they came back. That leaves us sponsorless for now and costing me $$$. Don't think that makes it ok to bash now...it's still not acceptable.
While we're on it - the more of this type of drama I have to deal with, the less time I have to actually develop the site and create new tools for you or do things like fix the club reviews area...same goes for the mods...the more drama you create, the less time they have to deal with real problems like trolls. Again: THINK BEFORE YOU POST. Let me help put things into perspective. This topic has probably taken about 6 hours in post time for me. I've been thinking about it for weeks. I've had to read deep threads for hours as well. I've spend 1.5 hours on the club system and probably have it half-way functional. Had I not had to deal with this type of crap it would have been working weeks ago.
Sorry to sound so negative - but just as I am angered by those who would try to destroy us from the outside, I am angered by those who would destroy us from the inside.

Re: Love Kitten Lingerie Thread Gone?
Thanks Pryce. You are awesome and I think it's great that you're doing all that.
Thanks also to TOO, who is awesome for his posting his sexual adventures which we all love reading about :D but also for being so awesome to SW.
It is hard to sell to other salespeople...we know it in our own business, so while I personally agreed with some of the negative posts about the sales techniques being so obvious, I see what you're saying Pryce.
Thanks again.
p.s. how much is a month or a year of sponsorship as an advertiser?

Re: Love Kitten Lingerie Thread Gone?
The amount of time, energy, patience, guidance, support and sheet talent Pryce pours into this site every day is far beyond what he's ever given credit for. It's because he's a quiet, dedicated, fair, patient and unassuming person who does not make a practice of shining the spotlight on himself. I can count the number of long posts from him on the fingers of one hand. But what he's accomplished here in creating and sustaining StripperWeb is nothing short of a minor miracle.
I am just proud to be associated with him and this wonderful site.
And just for the record, and to lighten the tone of the thread a bit, this guy is a major chick magnet. When I brought our StripperFest party to the Tao nightclub in Vegas late on Saturday night, we didn't even make it up to our VIP before two attractive girls attached themselves pretty much permanently to him and started following him around. Now I know a lot about this myself, but it usually takes the girls two drinks before they spot me and then half the time I have to deal with the fact that some are simply frightening (why do they sell alcohol to women over 160 lbs. or even 200 lbs.?), and then I have to grab a wingman for defense. Pryce can pull in hot women when they are sober. And when he's not even trying. That whole experience brought a smile to my face for days.
Anyway, it's smart financial planning to diversify to incorporate advertisers as well as contributors, and that's what Pryce is trying to do. It may take some time to find the balance required, but that's true of any business on the web.
In the meantime, if it's any comfort, StripperWeb will be well taken care of financially in perpetuity, even if I stumble out of a club at 3:00 AM and get creamed by a bread truck (Nic says, "Why is it always a bread truck?" Honestly, though, I'm a bit more concerned about her simply fucking me to death.)
Anyway, what this means is that the site will always have significant financial muscle behind it, whether I am physically around or not. I have to give my lawyers something to do. It's the least I can do in my modest attempt to match the level of energy and commitment focused on the site by Pryce and the amazing mod staff, who are not only consistently underappreciated, but are often the target of unwarranted and puerile attacks which, at the end of the day, end up reflecting much more harshly on the attackers than on the mods.
Oh, before I forget, FG, according to the most recent rates (and Pryce can correct me if I'm wrong) it's $500 a month ($6,000 a year) to be a corporate sponsor or advertiser with a running banner, but I'm sure Pryce would be willing to work with you on those.
In the meantime, let's give Pryce our support in his attempts to achieve financial diversity for the site. It can only make the community stronger.

Re: Love Kitten Lingerie Thread Gone?
Grrrrrr, more reason to kick myself for not coming to SF in Vegas. If I had a time machine............

Re: Love Kitten Lingerie Thread Gone?
^ Sweetheart, short of sending a federal Air Marshall down there to put your gorgeous ass on a plane at gunpoint (I seriously considered pulling in a few favors to make this happen), it was simply not the time. We all missed you terribly, but you had a swirl of madness happening then. We will make it up to you. I promise.
If it makes you feel any better, there were four other dancers who I couldn't even budge to get to Vegas, even though they PM'd me first and I was ready to wire them whatever cash they needed and make the flight arrangements myself. You can roll out a red carpet for some people, and it's just not enough....

Re: Love Kitten Lingerie Thread Gone?
Just want to express my appreciation for all those who make SW possible - Pryce, The OtherOwner, TOO and all the mods.
I love SW, it's an enjoyable place to chill out and in invaluable tool for any dancer!

-sigh- she's my IDOL. Seriously, give me some time with the two of you on a deserted island and I swear I could make her vote you off }:D
Thanks again Pryce! Wish I saw more of you around the site, but I know it's cause you're working your tail off.

Re: Love Kitten Lingerie Thread Gone?
Gee, I hope a lot of people read this thread. In spite of how time consuming it was to write it, I think the explanation was worth the time if it opens some people's eyes a bit. Puts things in perspective. Every once in awhile, a person needs to toot his/her own horn. Otherwise, people take you for granted and lose track of the value of what you're doing for them.

Re: Love Kitten Lingerie Thread Gone?
For the record, I have nothing but the best interest of stripperweb in mind, as far as anything I say here goes. I am sorry if I have caused problems but I didn't intend it that way. I feel very very VERY tied to this site and can be overprotective. Ferchrisakes, I feel partially responsible for its very existence, small as my contribution was. The LAST thing I want is anything bad for the site. So THAT is where my (perhaps a bit irrational) reaction to LKL came from - that and the way they handled the questioning, but I don't want to go into that again. It wasn't anything sinister.
-
Re: Love Kitten Lingerie Thread Gone?
Well to all responsible for this place running thanks - ;D

Re: Love Kitten Lingerie Thread Gone?
*Kudos* to you Price (and TOO as well as all the other contributors) for all of the hard work that you do for this site and to keep it running! I absolutely love coming here, and I owe it all to you for making it happen. While I was guilty of posting on the original LKL thread with my opinions/thoughts and was the starter of this one (ouch! lol... :O ) to try and give them some feedback to help make their business better, I completely understand where you're coming from and everything you had to say in your post. I would never in my wildest dreams do anything to hurt SW. It is a haven for me, as I'm sure it is for most of us on here. You know we love ya though!!! ;)
