do $$$$ increase with experience?
Do most of you find that you earn more after you have more experience dancing?
I know it sounds like common sense that u would get better at it and hence more money but there are other factors such as slow nights and bad crowds etc.
But generally would u say that your earnings went up at least a couple of hundred dollars a night after you were more experienced?
Re: do $$$$ increase with experience?
I'd say you earn more not only gaining experience, but gaining a reputation as well. Guys will come in to get dances from you and other girls may like you and point you in the right direction with time. You also learn how to manage people and time better so effectively, your money increases. I don't think you're just goig to start making a couple hundred more dollars/night in the same club because you've been gaining experience and learning in's and out's all though I could be wrong and hopefully am. Either way, just keep plugging along! The only time I ever made more was when I worked in a club where the stakes were higher and competition greater. Otherwise my money was pretty steady from the start.
Re: do $$$$ increase with experience?
reputation i dont know about, since some people change clubs often and a rep wont follow really, but most DEFINITELY the earnings increase with experience. If i was at my current club as a newb id be lost. 6 years later i can bank at a high hustle place but definitely not in the beginning. no way! my income has tripled if not even quadrupled since the first year i danced but i guarantee that's due to my club changes over the years and my groomed ability to handle most situations due to staying calm and having the experience to know how to turn them into what i want, be it sale or diffusing a problem.
Re: do $$$$ increase with experience?
I think that experience goes a long way! I make double what I did last year, but part of it is that I don't pay 250 house to work and the clientèle' is better in our area.
But I know some girls who say they made more as a newbie, but I really think it's the attitude towards the work and usually the girls who don't progress have gotten themselves into some type of bad lifestyle or habit. I honestly can't see why you'd make less money the more you've worked.

Re: do $$$$ increase with experience?
Yes, yes and YES.
If I make now what I usually did in my first couple months, it's just barely enough for me not to be pissed off. But back then it made me really happy. I don't get excited anymore unless I made at least 5 times what I made as a newbie.
Experience sure does make a difference, if you're paying attention at all!
Re: do $$$$ increase with experience?
Yeah in retrospect......I was wrong. You all are right. I definitely made more after my first few months of dancing. I would just get lucky back then for being the new girl. I learned all kinds of hustle and game along the way. In fact one of my favorite games is turning NO into YES strictly for the challenge...I'm sure I couldn't have been successful about that when I first started.
So yes, now that I rethink this........I'm entitled to change my opinion after your posts made me think more, right? Maybe next time I'll think more before I post lol.
Re: do $$$$ increase with experience?
Since I've come back to dancing full-time (since July) I have made more money than I ever have before. I don't know what it is, but I'm sure experience has something to do with it. My idea of a good Saturday night several years ago is laughable compared to the same idea these days.
Re: do $$$$ increase with experience?
Experience pays off in every job. Imo, especially any job that entails sales.
Re: do $$$$ increase with experience?
Well, when I FIRST started dancing, I was younger and thinner and REALLY REALLY liked it (lol). So I made good money then. Hm.... I don't know, I think if you have a real "go get 'em" attitude, then it's a toss up. But generally... I agree with everyone else... more experiance means more money.
Re: do $$$$ increase with experience?
when I first started dancing (it was just on weekends), my income was for Fri-Sat-Sun night was about the same as it is on one night now.
I think time not increases skills, but also increases confidence which is very important.
Re: do $$$$ increase with experience?
I didn't do piss poor my first three months, but I went way up after that. But now I make still the same as I did a year ago. So I don't know if income continues to increase with experience. Then again, I don't care as much these days. Go-getter-ness definitely counts for something.
Re: do $$$$ increase with experience?
Thanks for sharing girls.
I have been dancing for alittle over 3 months now and Ihave recently noticed an increase in my earnings between $100 and $200 per shift and I was just hoping that it wasn't just down to good luck!!
Re: do $$$$ increase with experience?
My earnings have never been super high. They weren't when I started and they aren't three years later. Granted, I've been the on-off type of dancer, so I'm not HUGELY experienced or anything, but I think the issue is mainly one of personality. I'm not a great hustler, never have been, possibly never will be. I know other girls who've done brilliantly since day one, mainly on the strength of their people skills.
Re: do $$$$ increase with experience?
Mine is about the same as when I first started. But back when I first started, I didn't make shit, lol!
In the mid 90's, around a grand a night or more was pretty average for girls in the area I worked in. I made around $300-400 a night.
Now since things have changed so much with extra girls, and laws being harder, I still make around the same, but that is on the middle/higher end for my club. I know girls that make around $500 a week.
Mine has stayed the same, but i'm ok with that.
Re: do $$$$ increase with experience?
I would say I have gained more confidence, become a better dancer, and have learned how to encourage the customers to give up their tips.
Re: do $$$$ increase with experience?
I used to have more "lucky days" when I first started dancing. Out of my four shifts a week I worked I'd bank over $1000 two out of four (the other days would range between $200-$600). Now I don't get as many of those great days, but I'm very happy with my current average now ($400-$600, a better than usual day is $700-$800) because with experience I've learned how to make a good amount consistently. I still have bad days of course, but every once in awhile I'll have a great one that'll make my week. :)
My average has went down in the past year, around $200 a shift to be exact. I'm assuming it's because I've gained weight. :-\
