Re: Boston Club Renovation
Ok I have not been in Boston in a couple of years AND I have not been to the combat zone since the Centerfolds open BUT as far as I know Centerfolds is across the street from the Slipper , right ? Also from what I heard for years the problem with the Slipper was not the club it was the owners so it will still be the same club no matter where they are . Also being a life long Mass resident ( except for the last 2 years ) I would expect there to have been some major issues from the locals and it would have been in the news ......puritans . My only point to that is that I can not imagine this being true ..... but from your post it seems that it is so I am confused .....it happens . I am going to see what I can find out since I am moving back soon and want to on top of all this ......8)
Re: Boston Club Renovation
i went in there the other day and the new glass slipper is waaay less creepy than the old one. So much so that I'm actually going to consider working there since it is so close to my school. There were even a few cute girls (though I won't deny there were a few trashy ones as well). Maybe there is hope for the glass slipper after all...
Re: Boston Club Renovation
Ok ok so I am a little out of the loop and I apologize for my earlier post as I googled the club and came up with some article about the new building BUT not many ....anyone remember the hysteria over the centerfolds club ?? More power to them !!! I hope they keep it classy , I wish classy clean clubs would make a come back .
Re: Boston Club Renovation
There was a thread 2 months ago where a member spoke of her experience at the new Glass Slipper. She also reviewed the club on her blog, which is listed in her profile. The new club is certainly more cosmetically appealing. http://www.stripperweb.com/forum/sho...=glass+slipper
Re: Boston Club Renovation
My friend and I actually accepted jobs there. I have my first day tomorrow, and I'm pretty excited. Like brooks, it's one of only two clubs within walking distance of my college. It's pretty nice, and the money seems decent--especially for an amateur dancer such as myself.
The owner is great. He's a freaking barrel of laughs. The bouncers are polite as hell too. Great, friendly, only somewhat seedy atmosphere. Rockie/Grace were right, though--the drink system is rather unfair to the girls.
Re: Boston Club Renovation
There wasn't a huge deal made about the club moving in the media because there really was no way to stop it. The licenses where all in place and, since the city displaced the owners, there wasn't much they could do to stop the club from moving to a new location.
Centerfolds was a different story. It was the first NEW club to open in Boston after the clean-up in the combat zone. Local residents and politicians where terrified that it would start a trend of new clubs trying to open. Instead, it just turned out to be the most boring place I've ever been where there where naked women....
Re: Boston Club Renovation
classy lady---I think that we go to the same school! haha, I went in there yesterday and allen said that two girls from my school were getting hired there. Well, I guess I'll see you when i start working (monday or so)
Re: Boston Club Renovation
^^^I think you may go to my alma mater. Maybe you wake up in the little building just in time for class at 180?
Good times, good times. Ahhh.

Yeah but usually cities force someone out of a location TO get rid of them , ya know ? They could have made it very hard for the slipper to re-open . It is strange that there are not more clubs in the area ...../:O For an uptight "classy" city they certainly never figured out how to run a great SC , too bad . On that note I do like the way the FL in Brockton and Alexs are run and the way they look ....there needs to be something in between though . Oh well .
Re: Boston Club Renovation
ahhh yes, the LB...good fun. I totally agree that there should be some more classy yet fun strip clubs in boston. Im really dissapointed that I only have a couple to choose from (the slipper and centerfolds). Too bad I don't have a car and can't get out to Alex's...i've heard good things. Nevertheless, hopefully things get less sleazy at the glass slipper and I have an okay time working there...
