I dont tan and I dont want too..
I like my skin... its so milky white. Am I screwing myself by being lighter then the other girls?
I just dont like that orenge look and I dont want to damage my skin or tattoos.
I have dark dark brown hair and everyone says how I should tan.... I think I look fine exspecially in the black light. Though I just look so light compared to all the other girls, every girl (even brazilian) tans but me!
I love my skin, its so healthy. When I see overly tanned girls all I can think is how when their older they will be like leather....
Like I do some fake stuff. I dye my hair and wear lashes occasionally.... But do guys really prefer fake nails and fake orenge skin? Cause orenge is what I will be.
Am I stupid for staying white because I like my skin, I dont think it changes my profits enough to be worth hurting my skin.

Re: I dont tan and I dont want too..
Your appearance reflects confidence. DONT ruin your skin just because it could make you more money. Its like a girl saying she has to have a breast augmentation to make more money. If she would fee more confident with her body after it, then yes it will, if not, then it more than likely won't. Same with you. I've seen pictures of you and your skin is gorgeous. Don't cause harm to it just because people say you should tan. We have almost as many pale girls as tan girls at my club and the tan ones don't make any more than the pale ones.
Rejoice in having beautiful, light skin, and wear your sunscreen. :)

Re: I dont tan and I dont want too..
I don't see what the big deal is here. I would be 'darker' than you however I still appear 'white' against alot of girls and I'm supposed to have an olive complexion!
If it works for you. Keep with it. Granted, I do use the Dove Holiday Skin stuff mixed with sunscreen and what-not when I am away from home. I can't be bothered with it when I am home (for some odd reason).

Re: I dont tan and I dont want too..
Ehh, if it works, work it! For every girl who claims to make more money being tan, there's another who claims the opposite or that it doesn't make a difference. I'm in the category of "it really doesn't make a difference". I've worked both ways and banked both ways. It's better in the long run if you don't leatherize your skin in the sun or beds. This is one of the ways I manage to keep looking young now that I'm older - I didn't damage my skin by tanning too much. (I only ever tanned sporadically and haven't done it for years now.) So now I'm older than most girls and I still give even the 18yos a run for their money ;D

Re: I dont tan and I dont want too..
I think I'd do a bit better if I tanned, possibly much better, but in terms of the longevity of my career, I think it makes more sense to just be pale, and use the fake stuff if I really need it.
If you're just in for a few months/a year, tan. A bit won't kill you, and if people are telling you you need a tan, you probably do.

People are a few customers and a few girls, who are overly tan.
IDK why people think pale is ugly and or sickly.... Pale/untanned is healthy. My skin is awsome.
I want to dance for another 3 years or so.... My mom just got pre cancerous cells removed from skin on her face BTW

Re: I dont tan and I dont want too..
I think if a person is too skinny very light skin looks bad.
Other than that i am swedish and have very very light skin. I can't tan i tried, i fried! And i know have basal cell carcinoma.
I love my light skin. I have often heard it called creamy white, which is nice!

Re: I dont tan and I dont want too..
Pale is very beautiful! I used to have a complexion like milk. I really miss it.
Work what makes you beautiful and unique, and tell the leatherfaces to mind their own biz!

Re: I dont tan and I dont want too..
I wouldn't risk cancer to make more money either. Guys never say anything about my fake tan. I just like it because I feel thinner with it. it's all for my head.

Re: I dont tan and I dont want too..
Just have to have the right color hair and makeup for it to work, for me that is. Some color makeup looks too harsh on me when i'm pale. If I go too blond with my hair, i'll look washed out. Although for some pale girls with really light blond hair, it works for them and look sexy but for me it's tough to pull.
Do whatever works for you and makes you feel comfortable. :)

Re: I dont tan and I dont want too..
I don't tan either and I'm proud of that fact. I could, but like Pamela I'm very light so to get even a medium tan going would take me awhile and ultimately do a lot of damage to my skin. Being fair doesn't hurt my money at all and if I want to look darker there is always Mystic tan. That's how I got so "dark" for my avatar.

Re: I dont tan and I dont want too..
Meh I know girls who dont tan.. they're very pale.. some girls you can tell from looking at them they will fry if they tanned. If your becoming really self conscious about it then do a spray on tan or something just to get an idea of how you will look. Dont go overboard as you will turn orange(god that spray on stuff is awful for turning skin orange). Personally though I love my tan and I love how I feel after a tan... but thats just my opinion. I tan every other day and maintain a very healthy glow with my sexy thong tan line and I feel skinnier :D

Re: I dont tan and I dont want too..
Screw what anyoen else thinks...if you are happy and your money is good..why change anything? If it aint' broke....dont fix it!

Re: I dont tan and I dont want too..
I like dancing in NYC because you don't have to be tan. Thye lik ewhite skin here unlike Pittsburgh....... It is required to be tanned and orange.

Re: I dont tan and I dont want too..
i do very well as a dancer who doesn't tan and has porcelain skin. many men seem to love white skin as much as they love darker skin. everyone has their own preferences. the key is to look healthy, not sickly. try adding some peach blush to your cheeks. other than that, embrace your paleness and stay out of the sun! your skin will look awesome years down the road.

Re: I dont tan and I dont want too..
It varies for me, even when it comes down to general face makeup. Sometimes my makeup just looks so nice(eyes/lips/foundation) that i do not even feel the need to bronze my face with powder... i just feel that my face looks beautiful and flawless and healthy. Other nights, i just know i need some color to my face. That is probably due to how i feel that night(tired...ect ect.)
Anyway i have really had no problem making money without a tan and i am pale with auburn-red hair. I will do a little tan though to see how it feels because i never have.

Re: I dont tan and I dont want too..
Be very careful! You can get fried if you don't know what you are doing.
Here is a thread that contains explicit instructions:
http://www.stripperweb.com/forum/showthread.php?t=47138
If you do get fried:
http://www.stripperweb.com/forum/sho...hlight=tanning
I use the self-tanning moisturizer. It is the only thing that doesn't turn me orange. It takes some time to build up a nice color, but on the other hand it does not streak and if you start feeling like yo are too dark, you can just adjust how often you use it.
When I do tan (rarely, for a photo shoot or at the beginning of summer to avoid the stripy-arms look), I use the low-pressure bed and a tan-accelerator lotion, which helps you get darker in less time. I have not yet burned doing that .

Re: I dont tan and I dont want too..
I definetely think I make more money when I have a good tan, but it could just be that I feel much more confident when I have a tan, and that confidence makes me more money- not the tan itself.
-
Re: I dont tan and I dont want too..
I always say I'm gonna tan, but i chicken out... idk, skin problems are rampent in my family, so i stick w/ an spf.....
I fake tan, but i'm aleays streaky..... i'm just ment too be pale. i love it!

Re: I dont tan and I dont want too..
Okay, well you're not likely to lose money tanning. It's kind of like fake boobs. But, I don't really get what you are asking. If you are happy being pale, and happy with the money you make being pale... where's the problem? Of course you don't have to tan (I don't, by the way. I'm quite pale). You will likely make MORE money being tan. Like, okay - girls can make money being goth and covered with body art; but nobody has ever LOST money (and I doubt they've failed to make more) covering their tattoos, getting a blond rinse and tanning and maybe getting implants. No you don't HAVE to conform to this; of course not, thousands of us don't - but there is a reason that is the stereotype. That is the most accepted, successful model. The closer you are to that, the more money you are likely to make.

Re: I dont tan and I dont want too..
My own near-translucence aside, pale white skin is just hot, unless of course you have badly bleached blonde hair--something about that combination just reeks of trashiness and sickliness. Then again, I gravitate toward non-blondes anyway, so perhaps I'm biased.
Lack of a tan has never stopped me from spending on a dancer.

Re: I dont tan and I dont want too..
Well you look hotter when her tan is left on you. :D

Totally agree. I did the bleached blond once when I didn't have color and ew. Took it right off.

Re: I dont tan and I dont want too..
You're always going to get stupid comments from small-minded customers who think you have to be one certain way to be beautiful, probably because he sees that all the time on TV. I had a guy tell me not too long ago, "You're really special, you know that? I mean, you're not "hot," but you've got such a great personality." I laughed and inquired what "hot" was. And wouldn't you know it? Blonde hair, big boobs, and tan!
Ha! Guess I'll never be hot because that is not hot to me!
You'll make infinitely more money if you can slink around the room thinking you are the hottest thing in there than if you conform to some standard of beauty and think, "Well, I hope everyone thinks this look is hot."

absolutely. beauty is more about your confidence in yourself rather than the shade of skin you have.
