Deep Dish "Shame"
How the hell did I miss this?! It's from 2001, ancient fuckinghistory.
Or is it one of those things where I already have something else by them and have been playing it for years (this does happen, lol--track #12 on the green burned CD, you know). I think I do, but I'll be damned if I remember where. Now that I think of it I know I have several remixes by them.
A dancer I work with wanted "Flashdance" by Deep Dish, so I did a search on Soulseek, and found one called "Shame". 'What the hell, I'll try that one too, "click" '.
Wow this is hot...
I just went now and did another search and clicked every Deep Dish track with a high bitrate, lol. There's 88 tracks, including a bunch of stuff that might not be Deep Dish either.
Looks like I'm leaving this thing on all night.

Re: Deep Dish "Shame"
Yeah "Flashdance" is pretty Fing good, and has nothing to do with that old cheesy movie theme or whaever it was.
But this is way better.
Do you have Soulseek? It's free and has way better quality files and a lot more remixes. It's where I got this from.
And the more I think of it, the more I know I have several Deep Dish remixes, I just never thought to look for them.

Re: Deep Dish "Shame"
Deep dish is awesome. Did you know that way back when, in the beginning, Deep Dish sold all of their belonging and lived out of a car, chasing their dream to produce records. One day, a young lad named BT met them, and they collaborated on a track...I forget the name. BT then met Paul Okenfold, then an agent at a sub lable of Arista, and when Paul heard the record, signed them immediately...thus began the modern era of "progressive house"

Re: Deep Dish "Shame"
Wow, thanks Scorpio--and TankGirl.
Very interesting--and I wondered why I kept finding stuff with both names attached. They apparently still collaborated a lot, which is a very good thing.

Hey Djoser, haven't seen you in Soulseek. I have lots of electro and progressive house goodies for ya, including Deep Dish, and Deep Dish remixes. isolabella_ is my new username. I need to readd you, message me.

Track 2, on the Flashdance soundtrack, "He's A Dream" by Shandi, is the song they covered and reconstructed for Flashdance. Fortunately they left out all the rocky crap.
