stop complaining and do something?
Hi,
well, i'm a newbie here.
I've read of few complains in some threads that professional strippers have now to compete with stripper-whores. Like men want extras and they should not look for them in strip clubs. I agree, they should go elsewhere for that. After all strippers are supposed to dance and tease, not suck and fuck.
But, if you pro strippers notice colleagues doing prostitution, why can't you just call the cops and say something like " i work at that strip club and that girl whores herself out, shes making us all, clean strippers loosing money, i want her arrested". Or something like that? Also ain't the boss not supposed to tolerate any prostitution? shouldn't the boss get customers who want sex kicked out of the place?
i'm wondering.

Re: stop complaining and do something?
Some managers tolerate it because its what brings the customers back, and what keeps the dancers making money....therefore making them money.
Cops aren't out to help clean dancers - a "clean" dancer will be breaking the law in my area if she even touches a customer, so if she called the cops on a girl sucking in VIP, she could get arrested, too.
Everyone is basically in it for themselves in this industry, and all we can do is keep working hard to make money the clean way. The money is there, it just doesn't come easily for those who aren't willing to bend the clubs normal standards....
I'm rambling now...

Re: stop complaining and do something?
When a club is raided for prostitution its not just one dancer.. its the entire club that gets taken down. It sucks but thats how it is.. its everyone for themselves.
-
Re: stop complaining and do something?
It's just not good business sense to do anything about the "extras" other than not doing it yourself. I mean, you call the cops and get the club raided. Great. That creates a lot of negative publicity. Fewer customers show up for a while, therefore leaving you with less money. I'd rather mind my own business, make my money, and go home!

Re: stop complaining and do something?
Plus it doesn't help that for every extras girl fired, three more get hired.

Seriously. What the heck are these women thinking? With all the icky things you can catch nowadays, I wouldn't be caught dead giving extras!
What happened to the good old days when you could dance to a little Floyd, make some small talk with nice guys who don't try to put their hands (and other body parts) on you, and go home with a decent amount of money?

Re: stop complaining and do something?
Hi,
not sure why the cops would raid the entire place ?
why can't they just send 2 cops to arrest the woman and the john doing prostitution,
no hassles for other strippers and the night continues on ?
-
Re: stop complaining and do something?
Because it's IN the club, not out on the street...am I right?
-
Re: stop complaining and do something?
It also has a lot to do with having a SOB license. You have a responsibility to keep your place clean. If someone is hooking at the local coffee shop then the coffee shop owner can call the cops but with a SOB that is just a strike against their record.

Re: stop complaining and do something?
It's like arresting parents for letting their kids' friends drink at their house. It's illegal, and it's going on under the roof that you are supposed to be responsible for. It sucks and it isn't necessarily fair, but that's apparently how things go.

Hi,
Would you rather have to share your working ground with whores forever or be without customers for a while ?
That's very heartbreaking but do you really need those kinds of customers anyway? ( those who visit in hope they'll get some sex. )
The first thing a good business needs to succeed is dependability, i read that somewhere, with stripper-whores around your income will be affected on and on, imho anyway.

Re: stop complaining and do something?
Just a question pegasus, have you ever worked in a strip club? I'm guessing not, based on the last comment.
Granted, I don't work with alot of extras near, but if I did, and did what you suggest, we wouldn't be without customers for awhile. We would lose our customers to other bars. Unfortunately, there will always be somewhere where custies can get 'what they want'. Eventually without custies, bar will close, and I'll be out of work. Unless I want to go back with the "whores".
Oh, and law enforcement publicity doesn't just get rid of bad custies, it gets rid of good custies too, simply because no one wants to hang out somewhere that they think the cops are gonna come barging into, whether you're doing something wrong or not.
One last thing...keep in mind that 'extras' is different from place to place. For instance, if a guy were to slip a dollar in the side of my g-string here on stage for a tip, I could be arrested for prostitution. That is vastly different in other places.

Re: stop complaining and do something?
Wow, someone hasn't a fucking clue. In most StripClubs, even normal lapdances are technically illegal. EVERYONE in the joint would get arrested, even if they were simply dancing. I don't have time to explain how the world works kid. Read more of the site.

It doesn't matter where you work or who you work with, there are going to be some grabby custies and there are going to be girls willing to do more than you are if you're a clean dancer.
I never had a problem being a clean dancer who was unafraid to let a guy know that he was going too far - and then stop dancing if he did it again. Being strong and standing up for yourself is how you get respect from customers and other clean dancers. That usually translates into more money (depending on how dirty the club is).
I would rather lose an asshole customer here or there than lose my source of income entirely by having the club close.

Re: stop complaining and do something?
hmmm, my original inquiry was why complain about it and can't you do something about it instead of complaining that they are whores in strip-clubs.
i'm not trying to start a fight here. Complaining to complain is worthless, like a total waste of energy, right?

Re: stop complaining and do something?
We complain because this is a place to vent, share stories and get shit off our chests...
Cause most of us cant lean on mom and pops shoulders regarding the blow jobs at work.
Its not a waste of energy.... Its like moms talking about the terrible twos... Nothings gunna stop my son from constintly saying "NO!" but I go to my parenting message board and vent with other moms of 2 year olds.

This is an outlet for us. A way to release...so that when we go back to work we don't break the knee caps of those others who are the subject of our venting.
You have a very limited knowledge of how strip clubs operate and what our resources are. Thanks for the advice and input, maybe you should pull up some older threads now that you have gotten your feet wet and posted one.
Enjoy the site.

Re: stop complaining and do something?
pegasusrider here is a tip for you since it is quite obvious you know nothing about this site and/or the industry in general. Shut up and lurk some more and then re-enter the community (this forum) when you figure out the answers to your own questions.
Believe me. Shuting up, reading and just lurking (not participating) will allow you to see the answers to all your questions within this thread. All of what you are asking has been covered many times over.

I know you meant this in seriousness, because it's true, but it made me laugh so hard.

Why are you complaining about our complaining? That's exactly what it sounds like you are doing. Especially since you've never posted anything before.
Complaining about our complaining is worthless, like a total waste of energy, RIGHT????>:(

Re: stop complaining and do something?
I'll be honest I walked into a situation tonight where i did open my mouth and i wish i didn't, I made a comment to my manager thats its hard for me to do my job as a clean dancer when the guy i'm in Champagne court with hears the guy next door getting sucked. It started all kinds of drama and i should have just shut up and done my job. I will never again open my big mouth concerning extras in the club. I just have to realize its happeneing and maintain my integrity as a clean dancer.
Tonight was incredibly draining all around and im so happy to be home.

Re: stop complaining and do something?
Strip clubs aren't a huge law-enforcement priority unless there are drugs involved or Christians are on the march. In some places the law turns a blind eye to some really blatant offenses, probably because money is changing hands.
I can imagine one dancer calling the cops on another dancer though. An hour later the cops arrive:
Cop: Which dancer are you accusing?
Dancer1: That bitch over there.
Cop: Bitch, are you a prostitute?
Dancer2: No.
Cop: ...
