Superbowl Weekend Is Here!!!! Wohhooooo!!!!!!! Man I've Been Waiting For Tomorrow All Week!! Woooohhhhooooooooo!!!!!
I'll be SO fucking happy when it's over. God damn traffic tying EVERYTHING up..cant get in ANYWHERE...reg neighborhood bars charging a freakin' cover when they nevre do otherwise....And to top it off...there no money here in my club....I HATE Super bowl this year...thank god it wont be here again for a LOOOOONNNNGGGGG time....
Unless someone's whipping out a boob at halftime, I hope to never see even a moment of it. Super BOWEL. Pffthbbbt.
(No offense to the sporting types 'round here.;D)
I bet on the Colts. I have no idea what city they play for, but I think they're gonna win!
Even funnier. Im from Pittsburgh, and I was talkin to a customer the other night about where im from, and superbowl, and he says, well, you must've been happy with your Steelers last year, right? I said uhh, why? He says cause they won the Superbowl last year. I said Get the hell outta here! I didnt know that!
Wow....yeah, my hatred of that city shows, huh
probably will be a great time to go to the movies since most people will be watching the game.
That's a good point FB! It's crazy around here too both teams are within 4 hours from here. I'm an afc fan so I hope the Colts win, but I grew up watching DA BEARS so I don't really care who wins.
Prince is doing the halftime thingee. I'll turn it on and watch that, then turn the TV back off. Fuck football. Fuck it sideways. Yawn.
I mentioned this in the SG Superbowl thread.
For years now I have endeavored to remain ignorant of the opposing teams at the Superbowl. Even if you never watch TV like I do, it's pretty tough to pull off. Usually I wind up hearing one of them, like this year the Colts. They always have the radio on some cheesy Top40 station at the gym, I was trapped. Please don't tell me who the other team is, I don't want to know.
As far as I am concerned, the very best thing about the Superbowl is that when it's over, finally, everyone shuts the fuck up about football for another 6 months or so.
The worst thing is that it is the one day of the year when guys beat up their wives more than any other--or so the statistics went a few years ago.
Fuck football--up the ass, sideways, lol...
And Mast, unless you were joking, why wish you were into sports more? From the sounds of your post in the BB 'Workout' thread you are far more into physical exercise than the millions of assholes sitting there on the couch guzzling beer. Isn't working out a far better sport than watching guys chasing a ball around while idiots yammer nonstop about it, in between deluges of manly propaganda about essential male needs like trucks and shaving cream?
Go Bears! :bear:
So do you think there will be another superbowl shuffle? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QS5cOAwSTS4
omg. what a great youtube link. lol. ty. ;D
What he said. ;) I have such appreciation for participation in sports, it's rewarding and admirable in so many ways (even if my lack of hand-eye coordination makes it impossible for me to be anything but the team's pity pick). But the living-vicariously-through passively watching sports, well, it seems like the worst kind of irony. Especially considering the condition of the average American body. Not to mention the salary of, say, an average American teacher compared to an that of a pro athlete . . . Ok, obviously I have some picked-last-for-soccer baggage, but still.
Oh, Mr Chris, thanks for reminding me about the Prince performance, though! I think I may have to try and see that. (And then join the crowd in fucking it sideways.)
God I only know because of club advertisements. I do, however, feel a very strong urge to drink beer and eat some kind of meaty barbeque-y type thing, I don't know how that brainwashing happened.
I love my ass some Prince though, so I'll try to tune in for that thrill.
Go Colts!
I would like to know why the fucking traffic here is insane! there is NO GAME here. god i hate out of town retards attempting to move through the city. HATE IT. i thinkit's kinda awesome that my hometown team ( the colts ) and where I live now ( chicago ) are playing one another.
Now its going to take a week before people quit asking " so who did you want to win, the colts or the bears ". I think in the meantime I might make up a new hometown to tell people about while at work.
I guess this weekend was horrible, I"m assuming due to it being below zero. So im wondering how tonight will go. We open at 8 pm and close at 4 am. ...god help me
I went to college with Peyton Manning so I have to root for the Colts. He is such a friendly, down-to-earth guy. I hope this is his winning moment. Otherwise, I could give two shits about the game and football.
go colts!!! this is such an exciting game!
