drama
Well this has never happened to me before. Last Sat my manager suspended me for 2 weeks from the club. It was the end of the night, and I was counting me $$, and this one dancer was going around the dressing room saying how wasted she was. She comes over the where I was sitting, and said "that's my $$", and proceeded to basically be extremly rude. Well, I was intoxicated myself, and proceeded to get really upset, and we yelled at each other, and a lot was said. I then got really upset, for reasons not related to this incident, and started crying in the corner. My boss came over and asked me what was wrong, and I told him the story. I have never been in touble before, and he immediately suspended her for 2 weeks. He told us both to leave. I called to see if I was in trouble b/c what some other girls were saying. He told me he reversed the suspension on me, b/c it wasn't all her fault, and he was sorry and wouldn't normally do that to someone who was never in toruble b/f, but he made an example out of me. I assumed that we were both suspended, but I find out that he let her back, and she worked the other night. So I can't work at any other clubs in this 2 weeks, b/c if they find out they fine you like $500. this is the best place to work at where I live. I just feel like an asshole, and I am embarassed to go back to work. This is completely uncharacteristic of me. I have worked here for over a year, and have never caused any trouble. I am not really good friends with any of the other dancers. The other girl is friends w/ a lot of the dancers at this club. I just needed to vent. Do you think I was completely in the wrong? I feel really stupid. What should I do when I go back?

Re: drama
If she got to go back, you should too. Maybe you can talk to the manager and express that in a nice way....also add that you are hurting financially if you don't get to work.....
Sorry this happened to you....

Re: drama
Can you just switch clubs entirely? Sounds like too much bs going on over there.

Re: drama
I know, when he told me I had no idea that she was allowed back, and I was so shocked that I couldn't even say anything. I know people are talking about it b/c one of my custie's called and told me. That's how I found out she was allowed back.

Re: drama
I'd swtich clubs. drama always happens but if it effects you directly then move on, your regulars will follow you.

Re: drama
I am considering, but this is the # 1 club in the area, but I have never danced anywhere else in this city. Is this a wise move?

Re: drama
I'd probably wait out the suspension and come back in two weeks like nothing even happened, but I'm a non-confrontational type. I'm so sorry that the management seemed to side with this girl instead of you. I'd be willing to bet it has more to do with insider club politics than your actual behavior. Maybe he fucked her or something. You'll never know and you probably don't want to. It all comes down to you, and what you want. Don't let anyone run you off if you're at a club you want to stay at.
I'd feel terrible about the whole thing, too, though.

Re: drama
I wouldn't go back. You said you haven't worked at any other clubs and even though it's supposed to be #1, you might be pleasantly surprised with other clubs. I've worked at clubs that girls and customers raved about and I thought was #1 and ended up not like it and not making that much money. It's not right that you had been there a year, so management knows what you are like, and this girl starts shit with you out of nowhere and she is allowed to work...what kind of example is that?
