thinking of starting out..but I would love some advice
First things first, I am 21, have thought about being an exotic dancer since I was 18, but I was in a relationship with an overly jealous guy. Now that Im out of the relationship, and with a guy who encourages me to pursue my dreams (when i told him it was stripping he was mad cool about it. real laid back - he is also a self proclaimed porn-posititve feminist).
Anyway, I have two issues. First one is that I have 6 tattoos. Two on my back, on on ym shoudler, one on my foot and one between my hip bones. I also have a clit hood vertical piercing. Would these make it harder for me to be hired or anything?
Secondly, I get really bad razor burn - what are some good tips for shaving my pubic region without getting burns? Or something I could put on it? I dont wanna look gross when i walk into the club. Also, for ladies with darker hair, how do you shave your armpits? I have such thick hair in my armpits that even when its all shaved, it leaves a lil shadow.
Third, one of my tattoos says "Bella," which is a nickname my italian friends gave me. Ive been thinking of using that as a stage name - do you think its over used? classy? what else?
I also dont like to wear alot of makeup - would that hurt my chances? I prefer eyeliner, coverup, and lip gloss...and not much else. Also, should I go with fake fingernails or not? I tend to nibble at my fingernails if they are too long, so gross fingernails prolyl wouldnt be a good idea, amirite?
also, what dyall think about wigs? ive thought about using a long hair wig, as my hair is neck length.
any advice will be appreciated. :)

ok, one answer at a time;
1) The tatts and peircing are fine at most clubs, but may keep you from getting hired at an upscal or gown club
2) I would wax, no stubble or burn from razor, i also have dark hair and have found that a mens razor and conditioner eliminate most of the shadow, clubs are not as brightly lit so more things are hidden
3) If your tatt says bella it is a great name, i don't have any at the clubs I work at(2) and it is a nice classy name
4) make-up is not a prob there are all kinds of girls if you want more make-up there are alot of ways to learn how if not, just make sure none of it glows odd under blacklight, as for nails, it is all prefrance, i wear mine sport length (just to fingertip) and just a coat of clear polish unless I need to have really nice hands
5) wigs are great for ocasionally (sp?) but i can't get them to stay on all night as I get hot and the move on my thick hair

Sounds great. Read all the shaving tips in body business and find something that works for you. Clubs are usually dim though, and that REALLY helps. I shave just before work, but I still get a lil shadow. I don't care, and no one knows. If I am feeling silly I have a regular (a specific one) who feels my lower leg to see if I have aquired my midnight shadow yet. I eat my snack at midnight so I ask him to feel my leg and tell my if it is snack time. I get in goofy moods sometimes at work.
My point is that know one cares about your stubble. I know I get a midnight shadow on my legs- guys still feel them and tell me how smooth and sexy there are! Be confident and they will love you!

Most of your questions are answered in the Body Business forum, so please look through it and do a search in there.
How tattoos affect your chances of getting hired depends on the club, area, and how hot you are overall.
Questions about stage names tackled here.
Good luck and have fun.

Just to throw this out there..
I am one who's pretty prone to bad razor burn...sooooo I use Aveeno Shave gel ...the kind for sensitive skin and made to prevent razor burn. Then...I shave every other day...and I use this cream called bikini zone.. Actually works pretty well. I haven't had razor burn in a while now.
Re: thinking of starting out..but I would love some advice
On shaving... two words Coochie Cream...I swear by this stuff... I got razor burn REALLY bad till i found this stuff...
Re: thinking of starting out..but I would love some advice
I work at a gown club and they will not allow any visible tattoos on the floor so the girls who have them use a product called (I think) dermablend. You cant see the tattoo in the club lighting.

Sorry, made a post to the wrong thread.

-Kinda related to the razor burn. If your like me and have had one too many bad wax experiences, you'll shave. Now a one day stubble isnt bad, but again if your like me you'll have to shave every other day. My secret is soaking in a hot bath, as hot as you can stand it for at least 30 minutes. It really opens up the pores and you'll find it helps tons.
-Tattoos, not a problem in my club at all.
-The name sounds fine :)
-I've been around guys that say they prefer dancers who are less 'made up', then theres some who like it the other way around. Depends on the guy, but not a problem.
-As for wigs, I personally dont go for it..I'm always afriad it'll fly off into a guys lap, but I know several girls that wear them constantly and seem to have no issues.
Most of all, if you decide to go for it, good luck, relax, be yourself and be confident. You'll be fine :)
