i'm on facebook, my old roommate got me on there a few years ago. but now that myspace is big, no one likes facebook anymore, it's not nearly as much fun..
Wow i used to live in Amarillo.
I like Facebook. It doesn't cause your eyes to bleed like Myspace does. Also their privacy controls are pretty tight. Good stuff.
Myspace has always had more people on it than facebook. Only that facebook used to only allow college students in. Myspace is only for weirdos, spammers, and your friend's crappy band.
^^^ and, you know, like everyone on this site. :P
there are more dudes than girls in that group, i think.
heh im only on facebook to appease my teenage basketball players. and family. i like myspace better, i have more friends on it.
I'm on facebook :) I liked it better when it was only college students because I felt it was more private...but it still gives you more privacy than myspace and it's not so excessively addicting.
Facebook is a little slower-paced than myspace. Not in a bad way though. And a little more private. ;) (So no strip club groups for me!)
My friend was telling me about Facebook today.
I was going to check it out.
I had to remove my profile from myspace.
There was way too much stuff to put up with.
My younger brother is constantly trying to get me to be on Facebook. He checks that more than email, myspace or cell so if I want to catch up with him while he's away at school, I need to get on there.
Up until a few months ago, Facebook required you to have an email address ending in ".edu", which connected the member with an educational institution. They abandoned that requirement, presumably to try and hold on to some of their market share which they were losing in droves to myspace.
I heard an interesting statistic last week. Myspace now has over 65 million members, and 75% are over the age of 18.
I'm on facebook but I keep it very private. Only people I know are on there, including my brother and sister. Soooo yah. No strip club/stripper groups for me there. Although there is a group called "BFS(best friend strippers...for life!). LOL. There's also future strippers of america and "free pancakes for strippers". Hey I like pancakes!!!
To be completely honest, Facebook was the first internet thing I was ever into, this was like 2 years ago. (P.S. I had no idea u could be on there w/out the '.edu' email addy). It was sad, my roommates and I would be in our separate rooms, in the same apartment writing comments on each other's walls "Let's go smoke a cigarette!" "Wait! Gimme five, I'm stalking this guy I had a class w/ last semester.."
It was hilarious. But as soon as I discovered MySpace, Facebook meant nothing to me. I still have my profile, but I rarely check it. I just like how Myspace can be customized and have music etc .. last time I was on Facebook, I didn't even recognize it. I got notices from the admin. telling me people were 'tagging me in notes' and photos and stuff .. I don't even know wtf that means!
I'm on Facebook! I actually preferred it more when they only allowed college students.
I just joined Facebook. I'm confused. I know a lot of people on it, but so far I like MySpace better. This whole not being able to see anyone's profile really blows. There are a couple of people I would like to anonymously visit on Facebook.
I am a true facebook addict... I LOVE LOVE LOVE Facebook... so so so so SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much better then Myspace. I have a personal account and a work account and my customer made a fan group for me which has been cool and i've done some serious networking on facebook thats hooked me up with two tv shows that I am going to be working with and some great photoshoots... yea facebook is da shit.
I don't like how I have to join before I can view anyone's pages. Plus from all knowledge that I have (please correct me if I am wrong) it is mainly a US thing unlike MySpace.
If people are worried about privacy.. there are ways to keep it on MySpace. I have a personal/private profile on myspace which I rarely have troubles with in re privacy. It's set to "must know email or last name" and then the majority of my posts are "friends only" or "preferred list".
MySpace has a huge contingent of Aussies now on there. I doubt Facebook would even know the schools I went to etc.. plus everyone I know (and don't know) is on myspace compared to Facebook.
I don't see what the draw to Facebook is over MySpace.
I'm on facebook, just recently joined....it was only for students? American students, I guess, because our schoolie emails (or mine, anyways) don't end in .edu.
It's a private/personal one though, so no stripper groups for me either.
I never joined myspace, in [art because of the eye-bleeding factor. Facebook is private and feels more...civilized, lol, for lack of a better word. It feels organized and casual, whereas myspace has always seemed really highschool and loud and full of kids to me.
Yea MySpace CONSTANTLY freezes my computer because of all the graphics and fucked up backgrounds and shit... its annoying as hell. I use it for work... my work profile is simple and doesn't make peoples computers crash unlike so many other profiles. I love facebook because everything is simple and straight forward *shrug* thats just me though....
