Re: Does This Happen to You?
Happens to me, too. All that moving around, sometimes forgetting to eat.
Re: Does This Happen to You?
Hi Sunshine.
Dancing is dehydrating and causes you to lose water (weight).
Also, dancing is stylyzed exercise after all. That's why male models, and bodybuilders in particular, do a quick 15 minute routine before pics and competitions - It defines your muscles and moreso if you are already have good muscular tone.
Yes, it happens.
:flirt:
Re: Does This Happen to You?
Oh yeah. I don't eat during shifts, or long before, plus if I have lots of stage and it's an eight hour + shift, I will often lose a pound or two of water weight.
Re: Does This Happen to You?
I can understand how danciing would tone you up, but I drink a TON of water over the course of my shifts.
Anyhoo, I'm not complaining! Just observing. :)
Re: Does This Happen to You?
If you drink alcohol, the booze is a diuretic and will make you lose some water weight over the course of a shift.
I also think that after a few hours of being mindful to suck in, keeps shoulders back, keep muscles taut, stand in flattering poses, etc will make a big difference in how we look. Even if we dont lose an ounce, the way we have to carry ourselves knowing that people are watching really makes a difference.
Re: Does This Happen to You?
Yeah, that's the thing though. I don't ever drink alcohol. But I think you are right...the activity plus the way we carry ourselves must make some sort of difference.
Regardless...it's all good with me!
Re: Does This Happen to You?
Yes, I've noticed this too. I just figured that it was because I usually forget to eat when I work. And I rarely drink alchohol while working. I need to drink more water, but I will settle for a pop towards the end of my night on occasion.
