Blogging about my life as a stripper
Hi,
This is my first post (been lurking for a long time) and i would love to get your feedback on a new endeavor I'm embarking on. I've been reading a few stripper tell all books and to be honest none of them have impressed me. So with this in mind I thought that I'd start a blog that I can write about my life when i was a stripper. Please check it out at http://www.stripperconfidential.com and give me your honest feedback.
Thanks!
Ellie

Re: Blogging about my life as a stripper
Oh.. HOW ORIGINAL!!! No... no one else have ever thought about doing this at all! (yes I'm being sarcastic and cheeky)
Could we classify this as spam since "Ellie" hasn't even bothered to introduce herself yet in the Coming Out section and/or contributed in any other way before "informing" us all of her blog?
Put it in your signature like the rest of us Ellie ;)

:( I don't think it's quite spam... I never introduced myself! :D

Re: Blogging about my life as a stripper
Honesty? I thought it was boring. It didnt grab my attention and I started skipping over huge parts looking for something interesting before giving up.
Theres nothing that makes that story unique. Its just the same typical stripper story.

Kaylinn, stop putting cute cat pics in your siggies and avatar. It short-circuits my brains!

Re: Blogging about my life as a stripper
That's great! I've kinda done that. miminewyork.com is another famous one. I met her and she's a cool cat. Great writer too. Happy blogging!!!

Re: Blogging about my life as a stripper
It is a good start. Here are a few pointers:
In your first blog you used the word "I" 29 times. Try to avoid the first person references when telling your story, as you will be able to make your written voice more creative.
Quote:
I started (started what?) that night and it was the weekly waitress contest (elaborate). The manager who was far nicer this time (than whom?) had suggested that since I was the prettiest waitress that I should try the contest. My competition was a girl who, bless her, had a prosthetic leg, a mustache and glasses and my other competition looked completely cracked out and was wearing granny panties; I didn’t have stiff competition(this sentence has all kinds of creative potential, also runs on a bit. It could be a paragraph all on it's own). The prize was $100, I was in(why?). I didn’t have anything to wear other than my purple lace bra and my purple lace thongs (Thongs as shoes or Thong as in underwear??), good thing I had worn my nice underwear. I am pretty blessed in the breast department (again, this could be a paragraph all own it's own). In fact I got breasts over night, one day was a solid B and it seems like the next morning I woke up with D’s. I remember all the boys in the 9th grade wanted to feel them to make sure they weren’t fake(a good point for some foreshadowing!!). Like that was going to work.
You've got a great outline, now you need to add in some filling.;D Keep going, you'll get the hang of it.:-*
And Mast, you're just being mean...

Re: Blogging about my life as a stripper
Heh, I've been blogging for 4 years about my life as a stripper. But my blog is locked and only a few select people can read it ;)

Hehe! I love to write and I love great stories, especially sexy stories. I'd like to see hers fleshed out a bit, in her own voice. If this is her first attempt at blogging and creative writing, it is synonymous with the newbie stripper wearing the shoes for the first time. I think it is cute, and she will be impressed with her own progress as she keeps at it.:)
I'm no editor. Yes, I misused the word "your" in my post. Gimme a break...I've got the flu. <goes to the edit function>

Re: Blogging about my life as a stripper
I wasn't criticizing, jus' teasing.
One thing though, a Thong can be a shoe? Who knew! Man, there's a lotta stuff to being a chick!

You think so? I was really just trying to poke fun at how useless it is to be negative about someone choosing to share they're blogging of their experiences...and I wanted to find a way to fit in ass hair reins.... No harmful intent. Just fun poking. Poke Poke

Re: Blogging about my life as a stripper
^^Maybe it is just my Nyquil addled brain.:tired:
And, yes, Madcap, Thongs are shoes also known as Flip-flops.
-
Re: Blogging about my life as a stripper
HAHA! Sorry, when i hit 13 the word THONG held a whole different meaning. :D
Hope you feel better Paris.

Re: Blogging about my life as a stripper
For the editors: "a new endeavor I'm embarking on." That has been rolling around my mind a lot, and not nicely. Does not want to make me click the link. But I will. Hopefully you won't write like this again!

Re: Blogging about my life as a stripper
:( The only thing I liked was the site's name.
It's terrible that you link to Stripperweb.
Your writing sucks and it sounds like someone who is "trying to write a blog."
Boring, self-obsessed, unfunny, typical and strippical. (now everyone will steal my word!) For you to say "and none of them really impressed me that much" is a little outrageous and left me expecting much more out of yr blog. Whoop-de-doo?

Re: Blogging about my life as a stripper
Paris,
thanks for your positive input - sorry for the delay i was on vacation for the last week. I will go back and use your comments/input and try and improve on what I wrote.
Yes I know blogging isn't exactly the newest thing to everyone but it's new to me and I do value your feedback. And no i won't use the word endeavour again
Thanks
Ellie

Re: Blogging about my life as a stripper
Teehee, I clicked on discountstripper.com I didn't think it was real. Anywho, your blog sounds very uhhh (tryin to think of a word) like fiction. My blogs are nothing like how yours are written. Are you tryin to one day write a book on your experience? Thats the tone that I got as I read some of your blog.
