Tonight I did something I should've started doing a long time ago!
Tonight, I had somewhat of an exciting personal achievement.
I was on stage, doing my third show for the night. There were 3 young kids, about 18, sitting along side the stage. They kept waving a heap of tipping dollars at me, then when I'd go over to them, they'd put them away. They did it 4 times and it was getting really frustrating, so I finally snapped at them, "What do you want?!" and they said, "Oh, we're just waiting til you get naked." So I said back, "Well, wait til I'm naked before you wave your money at me then!"
Apparently this must've pissed one of them off, because as I went to continue dancing, one of them yelled out as loud as he could, "YEAH, WELL YOU'VE GOT A FUCKING FAT ASS, BITCH!"
Now, usually something like that would result in me crying in the dressing room for an hour, hyperventilating and shaking and having an anxiety attack, then going home, complaining on my LiveJournal, swallowing a huge amount of Clenbuterol, and not eating for 3 days. But not tonight.
I heard what he said, and I froze. I turned around, and looked at this pimple faced little weed sitting there, and I smiled and yelled at the top of my lungs, "YEAH, WELL I MIGHT HAVE A FAT ASS BUT AT LEAST I DON'T HAVE ACNE! I CAN LOSE WEIGHT, YOU'RE STUCK WITH THOSE ACNE SCARS FOR THE REST OF YOUR LIFE, BITCH!" (*NOTE - I of course have absolutely nothing against people with acne and normally would never say anything so horrible, so please don't get offended. I just snapped and picked on the most obvious thing that this kid would be self conscious about)
Oh my god. It was as if someone had slapped him across the face. His jaw fucking dropped. I know how self conscious people with acne can be about their pimples and scarring, and this kid had BAD acne, so I hope to hell that it cut him deep. By the look on his face, it really did. :)
I continued dancing.
A few minutes later he started yelling out, "SORRY" and was trying to give me tipping dollars. I walked over to him, smiled, and flipped him off. I really wish he'd had a drink infront of him so I could've 'accidentally' kicked it over him.
I spent the rest of the dance with a huge grin on my face.
It felt really, really good. Much better than my usual habit of getting suicidally depressed when someone calls me fat. I feel like I've accomplished something very positive tonight.
:)

Well looks like the asshole couldn't take what he was giving. Probably about time a woman put him in his place. Go Darcy!

Good for you!!
I had a similar situation on Thursday night. As the girl before me walked me onto stage she warned that the four guys sitting as the stage were grabbing whenever the girls were getting close to them. After wondering why someone hadn't said anything to security, I thought to myself, "I dare one of them to grab me." Well, they kept waving money at me and everytime I'd come close, they'd pull it away. Then one of them threw some money toward the center of the stage. I still kept my distance. Then, another one tried to take some of the money off the stage...it was so far on the stage that he had to lean with his entire body to get it. I tried to step on his hand and when I bent over to get it (not that the dollar itself mattered, it was the principle!), he grabbed my boob. I slapped him across the face.:O I kind of surprised myself, then another one of the jackasses tried to take more money off the stage, so I backhanded him.:O Then, I had them kicked out. It all kinda shook me up a bit. I did have to go to the bathroom and gather myself. But after that, one of the girls came to find me sitting by myself and told me that it was awesome and I looked really good when I did it.;D Housemom checked up on me and told the DJ he had to play "Momma Said Knock You Out" for my next set. I felt better, worked the floor for a bit, heard some more compliments from other custies (who all bought dances), then went on to VIP for the rest of the night and had my best night so far this year!!
Sorry to hijack your thread...and I think we need to post a new score...

Way to go girls!!:great: Those little bastards need to know that they can't play with us like that. And Darcy, guys are dicks like that. The one insecurity that all women share is weight, and they will prey on that fact as a last resort insult. I have seen your pics, and my god girl you are F-I-N-E!}:D

Re: Tonight I did something I should've started doing a long time ago!
that's awesome. the best thing i ever did was stop dancing for guys who tell me to "work for" a 1 dollar bill.

Re: Tonight I did something I should've started doing a long time ago!
haha you rock! hold that attitude babe :)
on a side note, when i first started dancing a dancer with severe aneroxia (it was super obvious) went on stage when some fuckers pointed at her invisible cellulite and caleld her fat.
she hung herself that night after work.
sad.
people are nasty, they always will be, but its how you dealw ith them that matters.

Re: Tonight I did something I should've started doing a long time ago!
GO DARCY!!! *high five*
Just keep remembering that HE is in YOUR club. You are the Goddess on the stage he hasn't a chance in hell with so naturally some guys are a-holes about this fact yet in the end you are the superior being.
You definately were in this scenario.
So next time someone yells some remark at you. Remember this event. ;D

Re: Tonight I did something I should've started doing a long time ago!
Bessie Braddock: Sir, you are drunk.
Sir Winston Churchill: And you, madam, are ugly. But in the morning, I shall be sober.
Lady Nancy Astor: Winston, if you were my husband, I'd poison your tea.
Churchill: Nancy, if I were your husband, I'd drink it.
Sir Churchill was a master of retorts and quotes. Look him up. Go Darcy! People need a taste of their own medicine.

Re: Tonight I did something I should've started doing a long time ago!
It's funny, I'm pretty sure that only the most maladjusted and insecure guys would say something like that to an obviously hot chick. I hope he winds up with some psychic scars to go with his acne scars.
Gee, I am feeling really venemous today. Maybe I should have gone into work tonight and raised some hell.

Re: Tonight I did something I should've started doing a long time ago!
The other night I was giving a lapdance to this barely-21 little puke who kept trying to grab me and then ordering me to "get wild." I finally had enough and started making fun of him, telling him what a way he had with women and how a player like him must be absolutely knee-deep in pussy, and how hot he was making me. The best part was when he got uncomfortable and tried to squirm away from underneath me. I'm 5'10. If I'm sitting on your lap, you don't get up until I say you do. So he got a whole song's worth of my mockery and then had to pay me $20 for it. Maybe he'll think twice before he makes an ass out of himself again. I doubt it, but maybe.

Re: Tonight I did something I should've started doing a long time ago!
Darcy, you are way fine. You need to concentrate more on the opinions of the people who matter= People who are honest.
When SWers tell you you're hot, they have no alterior motives, we're giving compliments freely, b/c they are deserved. When custys tell you you're hot, they also have no alterior motives, they simply want to make it known that they appriciate your beauty. They know it'll get them nothing but a smile, yet they do it anyways.
This loser, on the other hand, had a nasty motive that made him lie. He wanted to look like a big man, so he insulted you. He couldn't even find something bad to say about you that is true, so he had to make something up!!! he chose what he knows women are most insecure about, their weight.
You FINALLY too care of yourself and did a good thing. You KNOW you are an amazing, georgeous woman, and you finally got past those high school misfit insecurities and acted like the amazing woman you are. Good for you, it's about time.
Now, you need to make this a new habit. Anytime someone says something hateful and false, balence it out. you have two options:
1.Say something to them that is so much more hurtful because it's true. The truth hurts!!!! And therefore the false insults should just roll of your back, only let it hurt if it's true.
2. Be the bigger person. Laugh about it, tell the bouncer, and laugh, b/c you get paid b/c you're beautiful and special, while he's a little nothing peon who makes in a week what YOU make in a few hours!. In my mind, there's no reason to sink to his level. And that lame false insult will bother him more then it bothers you, b/c you showed him that he and his hateful words weren't even with your time or energy, and it shows how little his opinion matters to you.
And think about this: every single woman on this board, without exception, I'm willing to bet, has been insulted about her weight. So you're not alone, and there's no reason to take it so harshly, b/c it isn't true!!!!!
And G-d, mermaid, that's so sad, how awful. Darcy, sometime with your negative posts, I'm afraid for your safety. G-d forbid you ever try to harm yourself. I would definatly miss you, and so would so many others, both on this board and IRL! I'm not saying I think you're suicidal or anything, so don't take this the wrong way. I just understand dealing with weight issues, and the dangers of body obsession, eating disorders, recovery from drugs and their lifelong side effects, and BDD. So make sure you take care of yourself!!!
damn, I think this was lola's most serious and thoughout post that wasn't self envolved, ever!!! lol :P

Re: Tonight I did something I should've started doing a long time ago!
Darcy, I am SO proud of you! You are a beautiful woman, and you are NOT fat. Some guys are rude for no reason, and it's awesome that you put that kid in his place.
