You should be pooping after every meal. So if you eat 3 times a day you poo three times a day. The food shouldnt be stuck in your system for over 24 hours. get more fibre in your diet, otherwise youll pay for it later!
I eat small meals all day. I couldn't possibly poop after every meal.
Actually you could. But anyway, the food still shouldnt be sitting rotting in your system for days on end.
I often 'graze" too (-:
This thread is making me uncomfy..I hate talking about stuff like this
*POOP!*
Feel better?^^^ LOL
I poop like once a day.
I used to every day or more when I was vegan, then I didn't for two weeks after I stopped (probably because my body wasn't used to digesting animal foods.) I'm still lucky to go twice a week.
hmmm every other day lately....i have been having a hard time with poopin lately...
When I'm eating normally, multiple times a day. My IBS sees to it that I either do it a lot in one day, or none at all for days on end :(
*CK runs and hides, leaving the computer on*
I dunno why it's such a big deal to me, I just really hate hearing/talking about stuff like this. Hell even to my doctor. It's even worse cause my sister is in med school. She's ALWAYS talking about *whispers* pooping cause she has hemmoroids
I was told a long time ago that if you are not pooping daily then you seriously have something 'wrong'. I poop daily and quite proud of that fact too. I find 'grazing' on nuts helps me in this department ;D
^^^ Very true, not pooping daily leaves you open to being a prime candidate for bowel cancer in the long run amongst other things. All that rotting food in the system produces toxins which then polute the body causing ageing, tiredness, stress on the immune system, weight gain and a whole host of other physical problems and embarresing ones too such as body odor and bad breath. Many people can survive poor digestion in their 20's but by 30's often thats when the problems become apparent.
Poop is a waste product, you definatly dont want it hanging around your system.
Well I am a parent but i still think strippers talk more about poo than any other group of people i know - and outdoing the scumbag punkrockers i hang out with is quite something! ;D
edited to add - you know i knew a guy who kept a pet poo. he used to wear it on his shoulder and feed it smarties.
I squeeze one out at least once a day ;)
And it helps that I eat these like candy.
i must say i'm a simple caterpillar-like system.... eat... poop. it's only once or twice a day, otherwise i'd be in panic mode.
awesome. how good is this thread for quality reading.
Yup. IBS completely f*cks up this function.
Really Corsica, I have to say Zelnorm is doing right by me. It fixes the serotonin in the gut, and I went off it a few weeks ago- things have been hell ever since! Just goes to show that this is indeed a functional disorder. I'm gonna fill my new prescription again today. It's the only thing that continues to work.
Hmmm...I only go once a week, unless im on my period, then I go like, every hour
:( So I guess it evens out? :)
No, seriously, I think there's somethign wrong with my digestion or the way I absorb food. Lately...(warning, TMI ahead)...my poo has had this grease floating on top the water...which is a sign of malabsorption. Pretty gross and freaky. So, as per VenusGoddess, Im gonna try the master cleanse for a few days, see if that gets things straightened out.
Funny story, LoL ...
So, my grandma came to visit a couple of years back. I am sitting in my lab section, and get hit on my cell:
"Grandma's at the Hospital."
My famz left me no details (what a bunch of airheads, I thought the worst) - So I freak out, right? I speed back to my aunt's where grandma was staying and find their cars in the garage.
So I go, "What happened ?!?!" And everyone starts cracking the f*@! up. In fact, they could barely explain through their laughter.
"Grandma...She...then..." -> ROFL .
Finally, I get the story:
My famz took my grandma on a nature trail via golf cart. During their "expedition", they stopped to go berry picking ...
Later on, she began to experience very sharp cramping, so she went to the bathroom, and the color of her, ummmm.... "excrement" was black and blue :O ;
They thought she was bleeding internally.
But when the doctor checked her out, they discovered tiny seeds in the "specimen"...
turns out it was from the berries she ate on thier nature trail- She was sooo embarassed (awww...) but she's a great sport and really funny (Tee hee...) -
YaY fiber; LoL :D !!!
I can go 1 to 3 times a day. I think that's pretty good. They say if you poo more than once a day, the better. BUT lately, I don't know why the fak i'm pooping so damn hard. I drink lots of water and i'm watching what I eat. I def. have to see a dr. for it. It hurts. :-[
Awww Vy, I'm sorry :-[ (rubbing your tummy).
Try yogurt (Activia) and Drink lots of water .
Also, if you can stomach it, a capful of olive / linseed / flaxseed oil per day will be much help, as it will lubricate your G.I. . If you can't take it straight, try it with salad.
You can also try drinking an edible aloe vera gel. They have it at health stores :glasses: .
In addition to this, try massaging your abdomen. Sometimes there will be intestinal blockage that can be "shifted" via massage.
Lastly, try no to push too hard, since that can cause tearing / hemmroids / and even popped blood vessels :O , particularly in your eyes.
:flirt:
Thanks Hot. ;) I'm gonna try the teaspoon of olive oil, fak it. I don't care if I get nausceous. That junk hurts!
