i thought this was a thread of shows cancelled before their time, e.g. firefly and farscape. <sigh> yes, i'm a sci-fi geek. :-[
not a "true" nerd though. ;D
sorry, i never really watched those you listed (except three's company). i watched the really old (gilligan's island, brady bunch, etc.). but those and the last four you listed are running on those nick-at-nite timeslots now though btw.
Yeah I know thanks but they never give the last damn episode! Till the other day I had no clue how Roseann ended and let me tell you I cried like crazy!
I think 3s company ended when Jack and Janet got married(to other people)....dammed if I can remember the others
I think in Fresh Prince, they bought a new house and all moved into it so the last episode was all the memories in their house. Full House's last episode was a two parter - Michelle fell off a horse and couldn't remember who she was or who her family was....The Cosby Show might have ended with the oldest son finally graduating college - so now Bill no longer has to support him
How did Roseanne end?
The fresh Prince ended with them selling the house, Ashley and her older sister
( cant think of her name) Moved to NYC....Will and carlton stayed in school in Bel air I think..... Been awhile since I saw that last episode.
Dammit. What was her name? I can think of all Will's girlfriends..Lisa, Jackie, Jasmine..and i cannot think of the older sisters name.
Her name was Hillary!
Ok so Roseanne...
You know how she always wanted to be a writer? WEll in the last episode she says how Becky and David were the perfect couple, DArleen and MArk are the perfect couple, Jacky came out of being gay and so on and so on, so it didn't make sense to those who'd seen it but then all the riches of when they won the lottery begin to go away and it goes back to being their normal home.
Roseanne is narrating and explaining how that is how she wished her life was, lottery, kids happy, Dan still there, see Dan died from the heart attack and Darleen went in to premature labor and the baby was very ill. Roseanne became very depressed but was hanggin on to help her daughter go through the difficult time. SO the entire show was basically her book, her life story, and what she wished happened but didn't, oh it was perfect! I loved it, I thought it was genious!
I hope I explained that well.
Dan died? I didnt know that. I remember when Darlenes baby was born prematurely...didnt Roseanne also have another baby? I didnt knwo Jackie was gay either, LOL..but it makes sence, thinking about it. I didnt follow Roseanne to much, but I catch reruns occationally...maybe I will Tivo it and watch it from begining to end.
Yeah she did have another baby :) Oh it's worth watching, I love that show.
Roseanne was a good show. I don't know how the shows you listed ended....but I cried during the last episode of the Wonder Years. :crying:
Oh wow, I never saw the last year or two of the show. I also really liked Roseanne. She had a lot of critics, but she is so funny and I have much respect for her crazy ass!
Wow, I actually liked all of those shows. Does anyone know how the Cosby show ended??
Cosby ended with Theos graduation....from imdb:In the final episode of the series, Cliff rings the door bell and dances Claire off the stage to the song "If I Were a Bell" (from "Guys & Dolls"). This scene was totally improvised. The doorbell was a reoccurring theme throughout the final season.
Three's Company ended rather oddly and abrupty with Janet married this guy she had a whirlwind romance with and Jack moving in with his girlfriend because she didn't want to get married. The girlfriend's dad was some hardass who bought the building Jack and his woman ended up living with, as well as Jack's Bistro. This led to some crappy spin-off called Three's a Crowd.
Family Matters ended way after it should have. It went to CBS, they had a new actress playing Harriet and Richie was nowhere to be found. Steve and Stephan Urkelle had split into two different people (LAME!) and while Laura was dating Stephan she realized she had feelings for Steve. Well, she and Steve started dating and he ended up proposing to her. I believe the last episode is where Steve goes on this astronaut mission and when something goes wrong it doesn't look like he'll survive. Laura is really worried and scared, but in the end Steve saves the day and everything is fine.
man, i miss those shows though. thank god for abc family, nick at nite, and lifetime! i never even watched frasier when it was on but now i love it.
Fraiser-
Niles outed himself and ass-raped that little rat-dog. This caused Frasier to decide it was time to return to warming a barstool at the bar in Cheers, and shack up with that nasty waitress....whatever her name was.
Three's Company-
The Ropers returned, and Mr Roper revealed his hidden man-lust for Jack. When Jack told him he wasn't really gay, Mr Roper hung himself, and Chrissy's tits flopped about (oh wait, that was every episode).
Fresh Prince of Bell Air-
I never watched this show. Sorry. I am going to guess that the fresh prince went on to star in a big-budget Hollywood film.
Cosby show-
The daughters all became strippers. Theo accidentally set the Huxtable house on fire while feeding his secret freebasing habit, and Rudy's little friend "Bud" grew up to become porn star Lexington Steele.
Family MAtters-
Was this the one with those twins who grew up to be anorexic mascara freaks? And that hot chick..what was her name...Lori something...? Whatever.
Full House-
Oh wait, this is the one I was describing above...OK...Family Matters had Urkel, right? Whatever.
Full House ended when faux biker Jesse's REAL biker friends showed up, realized he was gay, beat his ass, and then stole that hot chick and took her to a Mexican brothel. This effectually ended the show, since she was the only thing that was good on it.
Oh, and Family Matters ended when Urkel's voice changed, and he joined Screech on the scrap-heap of used-up kiddie-nerds.
When the show originally aired I stopped watching sometime after Steve figured out how to change himself into Stephan, but before they actually split into two people. By the time the show moved to CBS I didn't give two shits because I hadn't been watching it for awhile, anyway. Lately I've had way too much time on my hands to I've been seeing reruns on ABC Family, so that's how I actually found out about the new actress playing Harriet (who by the way makes the new mom on Fresh Prince seem awesome) and the whole craptastic ending.
I also bailed on Full House at some point while it was originally on (sometime after the twins were born... I forget when) but I did see the orginal airing of the two part finale. Totally sucky... I wish Michelle had cracked her head open and died when she fell off that horse.
and another thing about roseanne, i'm an addict. i have every season (they have 6 released, getting closer and closer towards the end!!!)
I've never seen the final episode... I cannot wait to cry and feel like I have witnessed the end of an era. 8)
My boyfriend got me addicted to Charmed. I cried when that show ended. It was a happy ending, but I was sad it was over. I still have the last episode on my TiVo, and still watch it from time to time. I miss Charmed.
I am a HUGE roseann fan also the first 5 seasons are my fav with the last season being almost intolliable though the last epsoide makes up for it though it realy makes sense it was a good way to end the show expect she never dose say what happend to krystal. THe swaped krytal with nancy without ever realy telling why i love krystal.
