oh, and i pointed it out to the nurse a week and a half ago when they first removed the tape, she told me not to worry...well, it got worse.wicked. :O
is Mermaid just destined to have retarded boobs?! hahah

Re: your not gonna BELIEVE my bad luck...
Man, that sucks! And it's your fourth boob job? Were all the other ones messed up too somehow? But hey, if they 'forgot' to put in your internal stitches and the botched result is their fault, they should fix it for free! Hope everything works out and that you have the great bewbies you want soon...
-
Re: your not gonna BELIEVE my bad luck...
Holy fuck - thy should bloody well fix it for free, thats appalling! Hope its sorted for you soon!
-
Re: your not gonna BELIEVE my bad luck...
Wow...I feel so, so bad for you Mermaidnz you poor thing!:grouphug:
I really hope everything works out for you. That's a lot of shit to go through...4 times, Man....surgery really takes such a toll on you meantally and physically, but you're obviously strong enough in both departments to get through it.
I totally admire the fact that you're able to stay so positive about such a shitty situation AND have a sense of humor about it at that!
I love your strength and positivity so much. Good Luck girl:-*

Re: your not gonna BELIEVE my bad luck...
In America, that would be a malpractice suit, I believe.
Sorry it's going so weirdly for you, mermaidnz. Hope things get straightened out soon
-
Re: your not gonna BELIEVE my bad luck...
^ I was just thinking, you know, I'm kind of glad I'm an American even if it is more expensive to get elective surgery....at least we have that cushion that if someone fucks it up and doesn't have any interest in repairing it free of charge, we can sue the shit out of them which is why a lot of surgeons DON'T fuck up...thank God.
Does Australia have malpractice lawsuits? I know most countries don't, my best friend from England said they don't really have that either.
-
Re: your not gonna BELIEVE my bad luck...
I havent been on here in a while but I remember your issues with the docs - Im sorry youre having such bad luck... I would think that considering it was their fault - not yours that they should fix it for you.
-
Re: your not gonna BELIEVE my bad luck...
Magadalena,im positive because theres no point getting too down on it all, being a mental wreck wont change anything, and after all the crap ive gone thru with these boobs, i find it amusing when theres *another* problem :)
all the girls at work have said the doc in question DOES do surgeries free of charge when its his fault, and they are pretty sue i wont have to pay....they might be right.
its crazy tho, i should post a pic, one boob is perfect, and the other is half perfect haha
at least i am able to work with it the way it is,otherwise id be really screwed!
-
Re: your not gonna BELIEVE my bad luck...
Wow. What bad luck. Danm. If he doesn't fix it for free, slam his ass all over the web. And sue. That is negligence, plain and simple.

Re: your not gonna BELIEVE my bad luck...
mermaid...i think you should make an offering to the BoobieGoddess...after the implant in Thailand fell out, and now this, I think you might have ticked her off in a past life (or maybe in this one, but you can't remember it). Sorry...obviously kidding there, but I think it's awesome you have such a good attitude. I hope that surgeon fixes it at no cost to you :)
-
Re: your not gonna BELIEVE my bad luck...
Wow, I am shocked for you! All that hassle for the perfect rack! Glad to see your in good spirits about it, I'd be crying everyday until its fixed! He should be responsible enought to fix it for free as it is his reputation on the line if he doesn't.
-
Re: your not gonna BELIEVE my bad luck...
The implant fell out?? Oh my....
You must have bad luck boobs. Wow....I hope you get it taken care of. Sorry for your bad luck.

:D lmfao , right now, thats actually not such a silly idea!!
its not *too* bad, like, i *probably* could get away with not getting it fixed, but in time the rest of the stitches will fall away and ill be back to bottomed out boobs on just one side. at the moment there is stitches on the outter half of my implant holding it up, but its still reasonably noticable that its missing about 3-4cms of stitches.

Re: your not gonna BELIEVE my bad luck...
Well if he doesn't fix it for free take it to the Office Of Fair Trading. They'll get him in line.
Glad to hear you can still work with it! And good on you for keeping your sense of humour :)
-
Re: your not gonna BELIEVE my bad luck...
Mermaid, I can't possibly fathom why you have been SO unlucky in regard to breast implants ! Keep the faith though, because it's all fixable.
-
Re: your not gonna BELIEVE my bad luck...
nurse shmurse, talk directly to the surgeon. of course he'll fix it.
and for the kids in the northern hemisphere, yes we can also merrily sue for medical negligence here. it's still expensive and time-consuming - merm will be better off just telling him he has to fix it (and there's always the threat of making a complaint to the royal college... i assume he's a fellow of that college and not the cosmetic surgeons outfit).
surgeons don't want bad press, especially with strippers.

Re: your not gonna BELIEVE my bad luck...
Wow, sorry to hear about the bad luck but as others have said I admire your attitude when faced with such frustration. He better fix it for free, there's no real excuse as to why that could have been fucked up except that he just well, fucked up. I'm wishing you the best of luck.
-
Re: your not gonna BELIEVE my bad luck...
If they don't fix it for free, I'd advise going to see a lawyer. To my mind that's a clear case of medical negligence.

Both Australia and the UK have the common law of Torts. The ingredients of a tort include a duty of care, negligent breach and damage. Hence it is certainly possible to sue a doctor where there's malpractice. It's simply called negligence or tort rather than malpractice.
We also have trade practices legislation, which regulates the provision of goods and services. If a service is faulty, there may also be a remedy under the Trade Practices Act.

Re: your not gonna BELIEVE my bad luck...
Egads woman. You should bring all the BA'd gals from here on SW with you so they can leer over the guy's shoulder.... if he looks like he's messing up, they can beat his ass.

Re: your not gonna BELIEVE my bad luck...
Hey Mermaidnz,
Didn't you say you had a bad gut feeling the night before your surgery? That something just didn't feel right? I thought that was you that posted that but im not sure..
They have to fix it for free. I mean, that's just crazy that they would make such a huge mistake and not fix it for you asap. Do they expect you to just walk around with half of your implant hanging out? That seriously pisses me off that they haven't offered to repair it already since it was thier fault. And you've already been through so much with your boobs...I just feel so terrible for you. I would be freaking out. Again, Kudos for remaining so strong. Hope they get you fixed soon. Best of luck:goodvibes

Re: your not gonna BELIEVE my bad luck...
yep, that was me. i knew something was going to go wrong, but i was probably basing that off past experiances.
at this stage i dont know for sure whats going on- its a long weekend here,so i cant call the dr's office till tuesday and sort it out. chances are, they will cover costs of getting it fixed- considering it was noticed just a week and a bit after surgery, they cant argue that it was my fault in anyway.
with the pressure of my impant on the few stitches that are in there, its starting to get worse, the other stitches arent able to take the weight now.
stupid aussie doctors!! lol
ill update on tuesday when i know whats going on :)

That's crazy. Maybe it was your intuition warning you, and you chose to ignore it since it was the day before your surgery and it would have been such a huge hassle and a finacial loss to back out at that point, I'm sure. Not to mention hard to pinpoint if it really was a bad gut feeling, or just your nerves, since surgery is so nerve wrecking no matter how many times you've had it.
I had that same feeling before my rhino-revision surgery and was so terrified that I broke out in hives the morning of surgery. It sucked because it was too late to turn back at that point. Luckily, it was my nerves and everything went okay but that's just such a scary feeling to have regardless.
Btw, How's your nose looking?
