Help! Implant Surgery Next Tuesday!
I am for real freaking out , Ive never been under the knife before ... put under or anything like that. I want to thank all of you ladys for putting your thoughts about this on this site... Im driving my husband crazy everytime he walks in to the office Im on this site reading about your experiances with BAs. He can not wait till I get this done so Ill stop "flippin out" about it . My biggest fears besides the implants leaking, infection, and things like that ofcorse is how they are going to turn out in the end . The PS Im going to has done great work , and I know girls that have used him befor. I have two little girls , 2 and 11 months. But I have my husband and sister close at hand , plus our sitter is gonna stay with me for a week so she can kinda be mom while Im recovering. My husband works nights so the night after the surgery he'll be at work . Do you think its a good idea for me to have my sister spend the night with me, that next night or do you think Ill be okay? IS there any other tips or anything you can give me ? Most of what Ive read , PS dont want you to take a shower until a week after. My PS says he encourges showers the next day after surgery ? Im going under the musle. Im a B now and I would like to just be the size I was before I had my girls a C or a small D. Im going to attempt to but my before pic on here . Warning they are pretty uneven . lol they got worse after I had the girls .. Any extra advise would be get! Thanks Ladys !

You're getting breast implants while you have a two-year-old and an 11-month-old? You know you're not going to be able to lift anything for awhile after the surgery, right? Who's going to take care of your kids for the next few months?

A lot of women do this and simply have someone help them, like her sister. I see it a lot on breast implant fourms. You'll do fine, don't worry, all these concerns are normal and healthy to have. I suggest this site, it's great to look for information and also ask questions. http://www.justbreastimplants.com/forum/index.php
Re: Help! Implant Surgery Next Tuesday!
I needed someone for at least 3 whole days afterwards. So yes have your sis there. I couldnt even pull down my pants by myself to pee thats how much I needed someone. Someone to get you water and pills and have them ready b/c you will be in pain not able to move much at all. Just think someone just cut deep into your titty muscle wall.. yea its gonna hurt alot. Mine are udners too and I was a 34B before.
I hope your kids can stay at your grandmas or friends for at least a week. Most docs recommend that you dont carry anything heavy (weight amounts are different for each doc) for several weeks....babies included.
Re: Help! Implant Surgery Next Tuesday!
My Kids sitter is gonna be at our house for a week or so to just take care of them , Plus my husband will be here on his days and nights off work. And my sister lives across the street , I think Ill have anough people to help with the kids. Ive heard saline was the safer one ? thats why I choose that .... thank you all for the support. Im really nervous about the whole thing...
Re: Help! Implant Surgery Next Tuesday!
I think you should have your sister plan on spending that first night with you. You can always send her home if you feel like you really don't need her but chances are you'll be grateful that she's there, particularly with two little ones. Have you planned on what you're going to feed the kids because you're probably not going to feel like popping some pyrex dish into the oven. I had a freezer full of kid cuisines, but my pain was so bad that while I could open the freezer door, I needed my next-door-neighbor to come over and reach in to grab them out.
If the babies want to be held it might help to let them know that "mommy is sick and has an owie"...you shouldn't pick them up but they can crawl into your lap when you feel up to it.
Re: Help! Implant Surgery Next Tuesday!
If I were you I would get that silcone gels. Is he going in thru the nipple?

The type of implant is a personal choice. Some women get saline and are very satisfied with the result. I decided to get saline for my first set because I didn't want any scaring on my breast (because I don't scar well) and my surgeon decided that saline was a better option for me. There's pro and cons with both types, it's ultimately up to the individual and her surgeon.
Re: Help! Implant Surgery Next Tuesday!
I would get the silicone as well. I have the saline and am happy, but a girl friend got silicone and they are awesome!!!
Anyway, good luck. A week is a good amount to have your sis stay. U r lucky for the help.
I've never heard of taking a shower right after. My doc said to wait a few days. Did he tell you why he recommends it?
Re: Help! Implant Surgery Next Tuesday!
No he didnt tell me why he recommends showers as soon as the next day after surgery , but I do plan on asking him tomorrow. My husband will be with me the night of the surgery , and the next day until he goes to work, thats when My sis will come stay with me. I am very greatful to have all the help I do . it makes me feel alot better about the whole thing. The crease is a fav. of my PS .. he likes going in that way alot better , thats what he told me . Again thanks for the input , and wishing me luck , I have the feeling Im gonna need it ;)
Re: Help! Implant Surgery Next Tuesday!
I was just lookin at some before and after pics on that site that sc0101 left (thanks btw) and I was just wondering how long did it take before yalls girls droped to where you felt like you didnt look really funny from the front?
Re: Help! Implant Surgery Next Tuesday!
Depends, at least minimum 30 days. However, they look their best 8 months to a year later.
Mine at least looked somewhat normal after 30 days, but they were really high. After 8 months they dropped and looked natural.
Good Luck!
Re: Help! Implant Surgery Next Tuesday!
No offense, but this doctor gives me the willies. :/
Re: Help! Implant Surgery Next Tuesday!
why does he give you the willies? and no offense takin ... I want yalls opinions ... he is on the bored of ps or whatever , I read on here somewhere to make sure to look him up on there before even thinkin about going to him , and hes there. From what my gfs have told me that has been to him hes the best , they had no problems ... but you never know. I kinda looked into the shower thing , online , and some of the ps think that it helps relax the musles.. and ofcorse to becarful about the incision when youre in the shower but some think its helpful... BUT I go back to see him tomorrow , and I will ask him why he says that.
Re: Help! Implant Surgery Next Tuesday!
I had help for a couple of days, but I was fine to take a shower the next day. Hell, a week after surgery I went out dancing and drinking. I couldn't wait to show off.
They say you can't lift your arms, but I had no problems with that. My BA was very easy and I had no problems with it whatsoever. They dropped within a month or two, and by the time I went back to work (six weeks) they looked fabulous.
Mine were a tad bigger than yours before, but I think you'll be fine. And don't worry about anesthesia and all of that. It will be over before you know it and you'll be so happy, I'm sure.
Re: Help! Implant Surgery Next Tuesday!
I don't know.. just the stuff he says.. it kinda makes me feel a little uncomfortable... but if you trust him, go for it
Re: Help! Implant Surgery Next Tuesday!
Thank You Andygirl ... thats makes me feel ALOT better ... :) its nice to hear about good experiances with all this ... and not so much on the neg. The closer it gets to this coming tuesday the more nervous Im getting... So Im def gonna look at the positive side of it all , well try too anyway ! All the what ifs keep poppin in my mind.
lilithmorrigan, Thanks for your concern , Im def gonna talk to him about the shower thing and all ... Ill let you know what he says as too why he encourages it.
Thanks Again Ladys :)
Re: Help! Implant Surgery Next Tuesday!
Actually, I'm more worried about the fact that when you said you wanted saline because it was safer, he didn't mention anything about how silicone gel doesn't leak or anything. It's like he didn't even really advise... he just said 'OKAY!' and took yer money. :/
Choosing saline is one thing, but choosing it and the doctor not telling you the safety thing with another product isn't the issue it once was is entirely another thing.
Re: Help! Implant Surgery Next Tuesday!
Well thank you all for your experiances and thoughts about this ! Ill let everyone know how it goes on tuesday ! thanks again! :)
