I'm not really big on horror movies, especially zombie flicks. Zombie movies don't really scare me, they're just gross. I've never found zombies particularly frightening, since they're stupid and slow; it's easy to outrun or outsmart a zombie, so in my opinion zombie movies tend to rely on the gross-out factor. That's why I haven't bothered to see this movie.
K has been telling me I need to see it, and finally he dangled (ha ha) the promise of Cillian Murphy's full-frontal nudity, so we rented it. Watched it this afternoon and I am GLAD I saw it in the early afternoon under broad daylight. There's no way in hell I could've handled that movie at night. I actually had a panic attack.
So wow, a horror movie I actually found gripping, intense, frightening, etc. Anybody else see this? What did you think? Looking forward to the sequel?
Oh, and the nudity was disappointing. He wasn't even hard. :(
