It's a damn shame that there are no Adelaide heats for Exotic Angels these days. :(
However, I digress. Good luck, Ashlee! :)

Talking about Exotic Angels... (and a little bit of a thread jack here please forgive me) I just checked the website... my current club is the National Final host venue! WTF?! That's next week!!! They havn't said anything nor have they started promoting the fact. They have the posters in the office still.
I feel sorry for the girls who are going to be in the National Final as that stage is not really good stage for stripper competitions. It isn't that 'big' nor are the poles that tall etc. I dunno. Plus I thought they couldn't really 'control' the lighting like they could at that Bad Girls venue as in it's either lights on or lights off ... nothing in between?? *sigh*
On topic again, I'm not going to bother about competitions this year. My focus is elsewhere at the moment (Burlesque).
all these comps are RIGGED ..... its not fair but thats the industry here in Oz.
I'm skeptical as to whether they're rigged or not, at least when it comes to the MNA pageant. I really dunno what to think.
When u say rigged, how exactly? Like u have to know someone to win?
No, I think it's more so that at the end of the day, the organises hold influence over who they want to win. I don't think it's that you have to 'know' someone, but you do have to conform to a certain image.
Whether this is true or not, I dunno, people have all different theories on how it's rigged and whether it is or not, but I just don't know.
Thanks! I think a lot of competitions generally are run like that.
I think it's time to lighten the mood in this thread by letting my imagination run wild. ;)
If I was ever asked to host the pageant (not likely, of course ;) ), I'd work in a joke that Bert Newton made at a Logies ceremony in the 70s: "For the first time in their history, they're not fixed!" :D
Forgive the appearance of a double post, but I'll bet if that really happened, I'd probably be arrested! :D
LATE EDIT: Time to re-rail this one. How many others have entered the SA heats?
I just did the NSW heat/final for MN (and I'm a-coming to Adelaide - yeah!!) and I found the judging to be pretty fair. For a start our scores were added over the two nights (even though it was meant to be a heat and a final - I guess cos it was the same girls in each) ... and our highest and lowest scores were discarded each night (first time I've ever heard "Olympic style scoring" and "stripping competition" in the same sentence) ... plus we were allowed to look at our score sheets at the end of the comp.
Have you heard of Trinity Porter? Did she do well in the MN NSW? Just asking as I'm lucky to be working with the girl at the moment. She's full on! Great performer tho' Supposedly she won best boobs and entertainer titles???
Anyone find out what happened elsewhere in Australia with this competition?
Trin came second (did a terribly sexy cat show complete with milk bath!) which means she's "Miss Nude Sydney" (for some reason first place is "Miss Nude NSW" and the runner up is MN Sydney) ... so we're both heading to Adelaide.
No idea whats happening in the other states tho...
Miss Nude Aust. rigged? Statistically over the years, girls that work at the Horse have placed better overall than girls from out of state. Make of that what you will. Maybe they're just better dancers, who knows? Though this years SA finals were won by a non-Horse girl, but she was TALENTED and deserved it, and I think the second and third placed girls were quite accepting of this, from brief discussion on the night.
Well... wow. Despite my poor placing (or, at least, what I assumed to be poor placing) in the South Australia's, I've just been offered a wildcard into the nationals next week cos I think someone pulled out.
So it looks like I'm competing next week too. Neato.
You go girl! :)
I'm kinda freaking out cos I only have 6 days to prepare *gulp*
At least I already have my costumes organised.... just need a gown, and music, and weight loss. Argh.
A girl from my club called LuLu is competing in it. She won the runner up of miss victoria titled miss nude melbourne. She is very beautiful and has great stage presence. My new dance manager "Taylor" (ex Bar20 dancer) is also competing and she is also an amazing performer.
Good luck Darcy and all the other girls!!
I'm glad that there's lots of new girls competing this year... for the last few years its been many of the same girls every year.
LuLu is brand spanking new. She has only been dancing a few months.
sounds like it is going to be a very exciting event! Good luck to all competitors :D and especially to you Darcy!
Oh the music side of things is so so hard.
My Marie Antoinette music is sorted, so that whole show is fine.
But I'm really trying to work with my 50's Rock n Roll show. I'm thinking of using "Look at Me, I'm Sandra Dee" as my opening song and making it REALLY cutesy and theatrical. But I just dunno.
Yes. It'll be Tash, Dee and I from SA.
I think I only got put in because someone else pulled out.
Darcy, you a fine choice, with the professionalism to do very well in a national competition. You were picked because you are the right choice. Someone who will put forward an image that will be a credit to the club as a whole.
But I didn't even place in the top 4 in the state comp... at least, going by the title I received that was the impression I got. I'd have thought if they were going to hand out a wildcard in SA it would've gone to Champagne or Nicky, since Champagne placed 3rd and Nicky placed 4th (I assume she did, because she got two titles). But according to Joseph I scored well in the state comp...
*shrugs*
I dunno. To be honest I don't really care how or why I managed to score a place in the Australia's, I'm just pleased to be doing it. I do not have any chance of winning and I would never kid myself that I did, but I always said that I'd like to compete at national level just once, so I'm happy regardless of what happens.
