How to sell rooms when there's not much insentive...
I just moved to Myrtle Beach and started working at Masters. I'm making more $$ here, but god I miss the club I was at in Pittsburgh. The lap dances here are full contact. At Erotica in Pgh, the guys had to put their hands over their heads during the lap dances-VERY strictly enforced by the bouncers. This made it so easy to sell rooms. "The rooms are private and you can actually touch me in there." It was very rare for a night to go by where I didn't get at least one room. Here, there is nothing else to offer. I'm not going to let a guy touch more than boobs and ass, the thong ain't coming off, his pants have to stay zipped, etc. When a guy asks what goes on in a room, I try to sell the privacy and intimacy thing, but when it comes down to it I have to admit that nothing really goes on in there more than what goes on during a lap dance. This is probably why Masters has gotten such a rep. as an extras club. Any suggestions for selling rooms? I've sold 3 in a month and a half. I used to do that in one night in Pgh!>:(

Ya, that sucks.... it's hard to get them to give more if you're not going to.... maybe just focus on doing LOTS! of dances....
Re: How to sell rooms when there's not much insentive...
Lemme guess ... your customers are golfers. Golfers have money. Golfers like hearing themselves talk. You are selling your time to listen to them while being topless. Sometimes, they want a pretty lady to drink with them. Believe it or not, they value that. They pay for that. Don't think that they want more mileage because they are paying more. A few hundred or a few thousand is chump change to men who have nothing better to do than play golf. It's like $20 to us.
Typical questions are "What do I get?" (A whole lot of fun, time together, etc), "What's the difference?" (Privacy, getting away from the rest of them, etc). Make sure that it's clear that you don't want to leave his side because he's the best, most impressive man alive. If he doesn't get a VIP, you'd have to leave him and you'd miss him terribly.
If you really need to resort to selling the physical aspect, only let customers touch you in VIP. When they want "real" dances, they have to pay. If they ask what kind of contact, say "You'll like it. Trust me." Don't go into details.
Re: How to sell rooms when there's not much insentive...
Actually, at Erotica in Pittsburgh you're not supposed to let them touch you in the rooms either.
Re: How to sell rooms when there's not much insentive...
Actually, I have a double dis-incentive to sell VIP at the club I'm working in currently.
Not only does the customer not get anything more (and you can bet they don't get anything more as the room has a 'controller' within it watching the room at all times due to the law) ........ I also generally don't make as much money selling by the hour.
VIP is only for hour-long bookings.
My cut from each dance
10 mins - $30
20 min - $50
30 min - $70
60 min - $120
The only incentive for the customer is that he won't be annoy-ed by the hostesses or even me to keep going and have the dance flow interrupted every so often (as all dances in Australia are paid up-front), most nights the bar next to the VIP area is open so he doesn't have to go far (I can do it even for him so he doesn't even have to move off his seat) for a drink, it is a little more private, he has time to have a smoke (outside as it is no smoking in the club) and still come back and have a dance etc.
If I wanted to include "free drinks" with the dance price it would have to come out of my money. Since I'm already only getting $120 out of the $200 the customer paid, I'm not prone to offering the free drink as part of the hustle. I don't want the club making any more money off me than they already are making.
There is more incentive for me to sell quantity (shorter dances) over quality (longer dances) at this particular club......... and it has been what I have been doing.
Yet even if I could sell just one VIP per night it would help greatly with how much I take home at the end of the night. Just one.
Plus not to mention it exhausts me to no end working so hard (mentally and physically).
Oh, it is already two-way touching allowed regardless if they go for a 10 min or 1 hour long dance. No I can't not allow them to NOT touch in the non-VIP area as it is kinda compulsory to allow them to touch.
Please forgive me about the thread-jack just that I'm in a similiar situation.....
:help:
Re: How to sell rooms when there's not much insentive...
Yup. I know what you mean, ginny. Girls at my club already allow touching of everything except boobs and butt in regular floor dances. I guess I could sell CR's if I let them touch my boobs back there -- there's no security back there, so I could get away with it -- but I don't really want to.
I sell CR's only if the guy is enjoying my company and wants to spend the evening with me, and I sell them based on "it's private, it's just us, we can be alone together, we won't have all these other people looking at us."
Re: How to sell rooms when there's not much insentive...
We charge $250 for a half hour of full nude, no contact dances.
I sell them with these points:
*I take all my lingerie off, even my garter. I tell them they'll get to see me in earings and shoes. :P
*Its quieter (quite a selling point on a weekend when the music is cranked.)
*Its more intimate (there's a camera and its constanly monitered..but they don't have to know that.)
*They get me all to themselves with no interruptions like stage or merch.
*I tell them I'm hot and the A/C is sooo nice back there.
*I get them really involved in a conversation so that they want to spend more time with me.
*I have more room to move around and they can relax on a nice comfy couch while I give them their own personal show.
*"You're so fun! I'd love to spend time with YOU back there! I hate having to go back with boring (or stupid or whatever) guys, I'd rather take you! We'd have so much fun!"
*They can put it right on their credit card, and it shows up like a resaurant...."maybe you can 'expense' it"
*"Come on, it doesn't hurt to spoil yourself once in a while!"

I worked at Erotica for 6 mos., and letting the guys touch in the rooms is par for the course. Between the legs is off limits but the rooms are on camera and everything else is permitted by the bouncers and management.
Re: How to sell rooms when there's not much insentive...
Personally, I hate when guys try to touch me. I make sure not to make it a selling point...
Although I can see how it can be hard when everyone else is allowing it.
Re: How to sell rooms when there's not much insentive...
I work at Masters too and, trust me, you don't want to just go along with the other girls! Don't do what you see other girls do. Work with the mindset of doing what you want to do and nothing more. You will be happier with yourself. I take them to the couch room next to an idiot who's sprawled all over the customer and keep right on doing my medium, intermittant contact. Fuck 'em! She and I aren't in competition. I'm a fine wine and he'll have to pay to even dream of getting near me. Think that way so you feel confident because you aren't offering less. YOU could never be less.
Work on your costumes, mental attitude, and sales pitch. The more confident and turned on picture you paint--the better. That creates attraction and respect. Attraction plus respect equals monaaaayy!! :D The most confident chicks tend to be in demand. So you won't need to give anything away, you'll be beating them off with a stick! Feel free to pm me if you want any other info on hustling that crowd.
